Do the Buttercut blades fit the Wahl clippers ?? Is there a site you would recommend to buy them from . I have Toy poodles & as I live on the beach I keep my poodles cut short ..always seem to be clipping !!!

My boys are now six weeks old ..their mum has totally weaned them but all eating well They are such bundles of energy ..race around the house like they own it ..use their paper well for toileting already or go out on the lawn to play under supervision All have lovely homes to go to ..needles early next week then microchips just before they leave home Growing up too fast

I totally agree Oakeydoak about how scary this breeding business is ..the more i learn & the more I read the more worried I become as my girls approach whelping ..always so glad when their safe day for pups survival passes . New mums terrify me as my girls are small ..always worry till that first pup is born & then at least I know pelvic size is Ok ..then worry about everything else ..Sometimes I wonder why in the hell we do it ...then you see a very proud mum & wonderful healthy pups & know why Two weeks to go for my girl ..think she will look like a whale by the time she whelps ..she had a fairly easy time for her first litter (5 from a tiny girl) so hoping all well this time again.

I hope all is going well! :D Unfortunately things didn't go well, :p we ended up with an emergency c-section at 10 this morning after not being able to get onto my vet late last night, it is a 2 hour drive down. Anyway there were 2 very big healthy boys, the other 2 puppies were partly reabsorbed and not much left of them (I suppose they were the girls!) Had mum desexed at the same time, she's still very dopey & not happy having the puppies.She has lots of milk & they are feeding well, both around 440 gms & eating well. Thanks for your concerns. :D Jan. So sorry to hear your sad news Maggie-mae.. would have been a very long night for you ...were the pups stuck or did she not go into labour properly ?? Hope she is feeling a little better by now and the boys continue to thrive

So lovely to see all the pups growing well & now looking like the breed they are instead of us all having little fat wombat babies ..Amstaff...man they are big fat babies..just so cudly & gorgeous. have moved my babies out of the whelping box into their playpen in the cetre of the house ..time they met all the gang and had some socialization .. now 4 1/2 weeks..tried them on their first solids yesterday ..farex ,mixed with warm carnation milk & mince ..they did well !! dam has so much milk so they are never really hungry Dam is not impressed I have now put herpups on show ..ah well

Oh that is bad luck for you . .My girl is due 27th and is really starting to grow quick now ..fat little tummy

Sorry to hear of the loss of three of your babies Silverblue You are right ..don't expect any loses after two weeks My three babies are growing so fast ..3 1/2 weeks already ..starting to climb out of their box now ..soon will be full on ..love this time now they are getting their own little personalities.

Partipaws I was just heartbroken to hear of your loss of your beautiful Teddy .. :laugh: What a devastating loss for you personally... as well as your breeding program ..he was a fantastic looking boy

She did the same on her first litter ..about the same time too.... so looks like its an in thing with her :cry:

My poodle mum has a three week old litter ..all very fat & healthy ..I have now caught my mum suckling her own boobs ..she is a noisy slurper ...] don't think they are uncomfortable ..too early for her to be weaning pups ..maybe just likes taste of her own milk bar ?? LOL Has anyone else had this happen ??

Ditto about the toys !! Wish they would learn to pick up after play time .... Know they run this house .... I have a lounge chair somewhere under the puddle kids

My red babies seem so plain next to all the beautiful marked babies born in July ..ah well will just have to get the paint brush out ..few spots here & there

Red Toy poodles due 27th ..This is my girls 2nd litter ..she is only tiny but surprised us with 5 beautiful babies last time ..4 girls & 1 boy . Am hoping for lots of girl babies again She is so sooky already ..think she is going to spend this pregnancy sitting on my knee :rolleyes:

My little fat red sausages are a week old tomorrow eve ..they are just doing so well ..what a great mum they have

One of the funniest things I have seen with my poodles was with a young mum . Her pups were 6 weeks old and in the computer room with us..heard loud slurping ..looked around ..there was mum half sitting up against the wall feeding several of her 3 pups ..but also having a damn good suck herself on a spare teat Maybe she wanted to check on why the pups were loving the milk bar so much

NSW will register most litters and will place them on the limit register, flagged " never to be upgraded ". Wonder if Qld is the same ..will check but hope it never happens ..was not impressed being officially slapped on the wrist over less than a week out !! had not realised my girl had a shorter cycle than her normal 6 mths ..still I learnt to now double check !!! I can just imagine if this happened and you had to place them on limited that this would be the litter with the type of pup you had waited all your life for ..Murpheys Law ..

Hi all ..Well my girl delivered safely today..All boys if you don't mind ..of course I had orders for girls ..LOL Long day ..she started first stage in early hours ..second stage not till 2pm ..meanwhile nothing gets done as she wants undivided attention ..nursing etc . First boy born red/apricot 3.40pm..167gms ..then she went till 6.40 before delivering next puppy ..two of those hours pushing ..but she was not distressed ..I was !!!...2nd boy 186gms a nice red ..third baby nice & fast 7pm ..169gms again a nice red. All pups are feeding well ..Tameeka has turned into a nice little Jersy cow

Yes both Tameeka and her mother are well endowed in the rear private end .. both look like Jersy cows as soon as they whelp also ..My other girls are all neat
