  1. I always pay by Paypal when using e-bay
  2. I like these ones - good service too http://stores.ebay.com.au/Pet-Pamper-Fun-and-Funky-Pet-Tags
  3. I contacted DWI today and the difference is: 550D = PAL format KISS X4 = NTSC Format This will only effect the playback on TV as NTSC will not play on a PAL tv. I do sometimes use TV for playback so looks like I'll have to stump up the extra $'s for the 550D version
  4. I'm going to contact DWI on Monday so I'll let you know what they say
  5. That's the thing - it's $110 difference at DWI and I'm thinking I could put that towards better lenses. I'll have to make sure the language can be set to English though
  6. kja, I was sure if someone knew the answer it would be you No, it's the same store DWI http://www.dwidigitalcameras.com.au/store/...=20&brand=2
  7. I've been looking at the Canon 550D on some online stores and often see the Kiss x4 advertised as well. I don't understand why being a Japanese version makes it cheaper, can anyone explain it please?
  8. I've just changed over to Nutro Lamb & Rice after readinga few posts on here and it's going down very well. Izzy isn't always interested in dry food plus the pieces are a bit bigger than Eagle Pack so I'm pleasantly surprised she's so keen on it.
  9. I first stripped my Lakeland at around 10 weeks on the advice of her breeder. She went from looking like a fluffy black ball to looking like a real Lakeland in miniature.
  10. Deshonko, you could be just the (maniac) genius I'm looking for. I'd like the temperament of a Golden Retriever, the size of my Lakeland Terrier and if you could make it non-shedding that would be fabulous 'cos I can't be bothered with the cleaning. Many thanks
  11. ;) Beat me to it! :p The number of times Ruby has been a "red schnauzer"... Yes, Izzy too - especially as she's schnauzer size....
  12. I am sorry to hear you lost Cruise at such a young age, I always loved seeing his photos. to you
  13. So this morning when I was driving on the Roe Highway I saw a white van with a sticker on the window saying 'Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever on board'. I figured it had to be a DOLer, anyone on here??
  14. Sounds like a stuffed toy would suit them better!
  15. I forgot to take a picture of my daggy one. I just got the fat quarter (big piece) & stuck a little square in the middle, the little one had a picture of a horse & then used blanket stitch carefully around the out edge of the little square. You could do wadding etc & be really fancy. Say, put wadding between the big square & the little square & the stitch outside of little square AND stitch around the horse. I wasn't brave enough I realised when I looked again that it's a flat fat so maybe not the right thing?
  16. Dear Dolers who know about quilting, I found the fat squares in Spotlight today but don't actually know what to do with them. Do I need to buy wadding to sew them onto? Do I need backing fabric? Thank you from someone who is severely challenged in the quilting dept. (although I do sew quite well!)
  17. I took our girl there for a while when she was younger, the dogs are very well looked after. You could PM Willow for more info as she worked there before she had her baby.
  18. The lady we spoke to wasn't particularly old so not one of the original people by the sound of it. You'd think that the idea of holding a fundraiser would be to promote the organisation not turn people away. Pity, as we have no children, don't rent and I work part time so possibly just what they're looking for.
  19. So it's not just us who finds them offputting. Hubby and I went to their fundraising sale recently and when we asked if we could have a look at some dogs for adoption were pretty much told no! We were so put off by their rudeness we won't be going back. We had previously visited years ago and found them very welcoming so were a bit stunned.
  20. We have one of these too, DH finds it very easy to use and Izzy prefers it to the noisy hydrobath we used to use at the vets.
  21. That's who I was going to recommend too Loraine, I felt really confident with Maria when I met her
  22. Hi, Hope your trip over goes well. You're right about Australia being more restrictive for dogs, definitely no dog walking in the National Parks. There is a great place for dog walking not too far from Mt Lawley - Yokine Reserve. It's a huge area and lots of dog walkers use it, I went there regularly before I moved and never had a problem with aggressive dogs/owners. There is a groomer in North Perth who might suit your dogs needs - PM me when you get here and I will send you her name. I think some of the pet food suppliers may make something similar to NatureDiet, there is a place in Oxford St in Leederville that might be worth a look. I can't believe Byford is restricting it's visiting even more, I'm sure it was Mon - Fri a few years ago, thankfully it's only 30 days.
  23. Deb, if you're ever in Perth you must come and visit Izzy
  24. Fran I 'm so glad you posted this question, I've been lookinat the same cameras myself. Hope you don't mind if I butt in and ask a question of the lens experts on here, why is it preferable (and more expensive) to have a 18-200mm lens rather than 18-55 and 55-200 twin lenses?
