  1. What I do is, say his name and take the concentration off the other dog, also hold his lead tight and wait until the dog has passed... We are starting obedience training in Feb, I will talk to the people that do the training. They will have suggestions... thanks alot of everyone's replies...
  2. Bruno was attacked by a great dane about 2wks ago, he is 18wks now. When we take him for a walk whether it is down at the beach or along the promenade he is scared of everything. When a dog walks past he just wants to take off, this is the same with bikes and kids on scooters. Even if a dog barks at him from the back of a passing ute. Just wondering if this will now happen all the time or will he grow out of this?
  3. After our walk this morning, I was getting Bruno's brekky together. He went outside and was sick. When I left for work he was fine. My husband has gone home at lunch and Bruno is walking sideways and when he runs he can't slow down and just runs into him. Just wondering if anything would be wrong with him. I have taken him to mother inlaws place to watch him and she is going to call if he gets worse. Does anyone think that Bruno maybe sick??
  4. Hey everyone, Can you tell me what you used when your dogs teeth? I have a nylabone however Bruno doesn't seem to like it, any suggestions will be much appreciated. Tanya
  5. Our puppy also does this... we are trying the "sinbin" approach. Locking him away in a room that doesn't have toys or anything that would occupy him, let him out after couple min.
  6. thanks for all your replies... They have been very helpful...
  7. Our 10wk old puppy is barking and scratching at sliding door. This happens when we are sitting on couch and also when we aren't in site. The reason he is doing this, is because he wants in. I don't want this to become an ongoing habit. I try and wait until he stops the barking and scratching then open the door to let him in saying good dog, however this doesn't always happen becasue I just want him to stop... Any suggestions??
  8. Yeah good point... I'm doing that as we speak... thanks
  9. Wow they were fast replies... Thanks for that... I'll give my breeder a buzz and ask about the info they will be sending with the pup.
  10. Hi all, I am getting my mastiff puppy in 10 sleeps... My question is: What is a good Calcium powder that I can use in puppies food? or tablet etc. Also what type of diet do the mastiff owners out there feed their little pups? Any suggestions would be great... Thank you, Tanya
