Thank you everyone for your suggestions. I am continuing with the My Vet practice at the moment. I had another appointment yesterday and I feel more confidant in the outcome. I will definately consider the reccomendations given if I need a second opinion.

Hi I have recently moved to Adelaide and would like some reccomendations for vets please. I am located in Parkside and would ideally like somewhere close by. I have used My Vet on Fullerton Road but not really getting a good raport with them. My French Bulldog has been having a few issues following an injury a few weeks ago and I would really like to get a second opinion. Thanks

The address I have for AEE cargo is Sir Richard Williams Avenue? We are not coming till June but just wanted to get organised. I thought we may have problems with a taxi so I suppose rental car will be necessary. Mjosa, we are really looking forward to our move to Adelaide. We have one of Chris Jefferies Frenchies and she is rather gorgeous. I am totally freaking out about the whole flying thing with her but I know a lot of Frenchies do fly trans-tasman and seem to cope OK.

Thanks everyone. I did google Adelaide airpot map and it looked quite close to the passenger terminal. Apparently we also have to go to the quarantine office which is in another part of the airport so I think we may have to pick up a rental car rather than arranging a taxi pick up. They don't make things easy!

Hi we are relocating from NZ to Adelaide in a few months and just wondered if anyone else has any info on what to expect when we arrive at the airport. Our dog will be on the same flight as us and we have been told that she will be unloaded and take to AAE cargo for us to collect. Has anyone else been through this or have any experiences of AAE? We are hoping there won't be too much red tape to deal with and that we can collect her as soon as possible after landing. Thanks Samantha

I am definately going to put together a doggy resume. We currently own our own home which we will be renting out so I am going to get the property manager to provide a reference on it. I am also going to get references from the neighbours about how there is no barking etc. We do travel a lot and use holiday houses so I am in the process of getting references from the owners of these too. Hopefully all this will help.

Well I think we have chosen a great place to move too Just another question for you all. We are going to be renting and I have heard quite negative comments about renting with dogs and how impossible it is. Have any of you any experiences in this area.

Just wanted some recomendations for grain free kibble. I am currently in New Zealand but moving to SA next year, at the moment I feed Orijen but I know its not available in Australia. What would be a comparable food?

Thanks for you replies. That all sounds very encouraging. Shyla is never off leash anyway so not a problem having on leash rules. we are looking at North Adelaide, Norwood, or Unley to live so it seems she will be able to do the cafe lifestyle with me :D

Hi I am currently living in New Zealand but relocating to Adelaide next year. Generally I would say NZ is not particularly dog friendly. We have lots of restrictions on where we can go with our dog including complete bans in some CBD areas. Would any Adelaide members have any good info for me on where you can and can't go with dogs. My little French bulldog is not into running around in dog parks but loves being out and about with me.
