I might be there again this month with the Rotten's in tow; I'm not sure yet if there's somewhere I'm meant to be Plus Fire's in season and I don't want to leave her at home alone :D If I do happen to make it I'll bring Bliss, Flint and maybe Min and the old boy Orca (if it's not too cold and wet).
-
Instead of "Where's Wally?" it should be "Where's Shaun?"
-
Well the Rotten ones and I had a great day today Flint crashed in his crate as soon as I put him in the van but his 10 minute power nap on the way home must have recharged his batteries; he was ready to play again as soon as he got in the door Bliss was exhausted and wouldn't get out of her crate but once she got inside she got up onto the couch and went to sleep Fire hid behind the couch and didn't come out until it was dinner time I expect to find them exactly where I left them when I get home from work this morning

I'm looking forward to meet you and the rottie tribe tomorrow You may want to take that back once you've met Miss Bliss (AKA Feral Cheryl) There's quite a few newbies since the last time I came; I'm looking forward to meeting you all (Just a word of warning though ...... don't throw any toys for Bliss unless you want her to pester you all day; once you do she'll spend the entire day throwing them at you and won't leave you alone ;) at least her children are normal (sort of )) Bliss will be happy to have her swimming partner there as well Sounds interesting LC; can't wait to see it Must go ;) now; see you all tomorrow

Rare Or Disqualifed Colours In Breeds.
Rottisliebe replied to poodlefan's topic in General Dog Discussion
He could be, a breeder in town has breed some rottis that have wirey beards, they look very odd, maybe he come from down here There was a German import back in the late 80's who had a "beard" for want of a better word and was well known for producing this in his offspring. I knew the dog (he was at the kennel I worked at) and a daughter of his and she was the same; thick heavy coat and beard. Their coat was not a long coat; more of a very thick coarse coat; it wasn't as long as this dog but it was still longer than it was meant to be. A long coat will usually be soft and the length of a Berner's (which is thought to be a throw back to the origins of the breed). -
Well the Rott'n ones and I are going to miss out again this month we're off showing this weekend Have fun everyone and hopefully we'll make the next one
-
The Rott'n one's and I won't be able to come to this one ;) Golden Wattle KC show is on that day so we'll be making the trek up there instead. Hopefully will make the next one instead although that's not looking too promising either as Bacchus Marsh is on that day Still have to decide if I go to that one or not ETA: Fire got her HT title on Sunday (makes her number 3 from that litter )
-
:D There used to be a lady at our obedience club many years ago with a GSD and we put an L & R on the top of her shoe's to give her a helping hand with her directions I'm loving those t shirts Now, just have to teach the dogs to read
-
Well done! Were you the only Rottweiler there? No, there were 5 Rottie's there on Sunday and 4 on Saturday We're really getting a great following in Herding with Rottie's in Vic now (thanks to Dyz for leading the way ;) ) Congrat's Trina, you and Jett did a brilliant job I might as well add my own brag as well seeing as I'm here :D My young girl Fire also passed her Instinct Certificate & got her HT title on Sunday, making her the 3rd one from her litter with a herding title, and it's even better being their breeder

Not fair, I missed all of the fun again Looks like everyone had a great day as usual, you were so lucky the weather held out There's some fantastic photos in this lot and so many fluffies this time around Your new baby is so gorgeous Evolving, hopefully I'll meet her at training soon Fire & Flint will have another lappie to play with LC, it's good to see Charlotte has bounced back so well after her surgery Don't worry Lappimum, Bliss will be back to put Bear back in his place one day Let him enjoy his position in the pack for now Although he doesn't annoy her anymore so she will probably just ignore him anyway

Is Min ok? Min's doing really well now LM. The poor girl was down to 33kg when I picked her up from the vet on Tuesday night, that's about 5kgs lighter than usual :D As soon as I picked her up I could see the difference in her and she looked so much better and now she's finally starting to get her appetite back LC, pyometra is basically a bad infection in the uterus. It normally affects bitches who haven't been desexed and haven't been bred from and can start while the bitch is in season and the cervix is open which allows the infection in Treatment can be as simple as a course of antibiotics through to removing the entire repro system, which is what Min had done. When I picked her up I weighed her again and she had basically lost 2kg overnight, she was so full of blood and puss Flint was coughing but it only lasted a day or 2 and now Fire has started, which I expected so hopefully hers won't last that long either Off to have a quick peek at the photos before I leave work (time to go home for some sleep )
-
I won't be there this month Min had surgery on Monday after a bad bout of pyometra, Bliss is still out of action with her sore leg and to top it all off it looks like Flint is coming down with kennel cough which puts Fire and Diesel out of action as well I was originally meant to be trialling Min at Geelong so I might head down to watch Grumpette trialling Dee instead Hope you all have a great day (which I know you will ) and hopefully I'll see you all next month

Werribee Obedience Dog Club
Rottisliebe replied to Eliteview Aussies's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
If you let me know your name and breed of dogs I can make sure I get your entry if you like. And trialling is always a bit of a laugh. I know some days if I don't laugh I will cry! I have 2 Rottie bitches in open (both trials). Both of my girls always have a great time when they work, especially my older girl Bliss, she's 7 going on 2, quite a lot of "enthusiam" She's just back from maternity leave after an 18 month break and still as nuts as ever :D -

I just sent a couple of entries in the other day for both of my girls Should be good for a laugh again -
No problem. If you contact the tracking club of Vic, either Andrea Sciberras or maybe Lynn Klecka, someone should be able to steer you in the direction of someone in your area though.

Just wanted to let you all know what a great idea I think this thread is. With the number of posts in our general forum the updates on your unwell dogs can get a little lost as some posts may get passed over in a bid to play catch up. I have also used Slippery Elm Bark powder for any puppies or older dogs that have had the runs, as long as the dosage isn't too high it works a treat.

The Tracking Club of Victoria are holding a tracking workshop weekend from the 18th to the 20th of April 2008 in Shepparton. It cost's $160 for the weekend which includes meals for Friday and Saturday and accomodation. There was an ad in the last issue of VicDog.
