  1. I just found a car I want Toyota Hilux but there would have to be some kind of catch, it seems to cheap. and its in WA
  2. Just saw this thread Thank you so much for posting!! Am about to buy one now.
  3. It was ok, got some good show bags. But I was extremely disappointed not to see a dobe or rotty stand
  4. I met a couple of ck9sas' when they were down here They have defiantly tempted me. I love Malis, but prefer darker coated dogs, so a Dutchie would be great I think I should get a few more years of experience up my sleeve before getting one though.... Although it will be very hard getting anything other than a dobe :D
  5. We're going tomorrow :D I've never been before so should be fun
  6. I am planning on getting a new car in the next few months. My little corolla hatch would be perfect if the seats folded flat, but unfortunately they don't. So I am tossing up between a HiLux or a Navara, and am leaning more towards the Hilux at the moment. As far as I know (which is very little) diesel drink less than petrol, so am hoping to get diesel. Then I can put the boys in crates in the back, and no hair, muddy paws or doggy smell throughout the rest of the car Not that I mind that, but guest don't seem to appreciate it :laughs:
  7. dont mean this to sound mean, or bad. but i got an email back pretty much straight away, the same as MonElites.
  8. Just sent an email off looking forward to finding out more so i can plan
  9. as emmark said, every dog is different. as i found that it is great for my dogs, nice soft, shiny coat, no smelly farts, good poos ect
  10. Thank you for your help leo01 and puggy puggy. ouch, your poor doggys they sound very painful I had a vet look at him yesterday, and she said that it was not split up the middle and by the looks of it hasn't hit a blood vessel(which i gather that's the quick). she said keep an eye on it though and if doesn't seem to be healing in a few days bring him in again.
  11. Thanks for that poodlefan, i'll give it a go. Thank you :-D
  12. Hi DOLers, Sorry probably a stupid question. I noticed yesterday that my new boy has/had a split nail (hind leg) it wasn't bothering him, till today. We were playing and his foot and my foot collided, straight away he held it up, although tried to continue playing halfheartedly. It was bleeding, not too much, but i was wondering if there is much that you can do, or do i just leave it and eventually it will grow out?? Thanks in advance. Regards, Jess
  13. My last few days worth of attempts, i gave up with the painted look and just tried working with the light.
  14. My first, and failed attempt. as i just learned that i do not own a torch or lamp So i think i may try an experiment with candles tomorrow night........
  15. I love seeing this, the dogs almost as big as the girl.
  16. Lablover, that was someone else who said that :p But HR could probably answer anyways.
  17. well i look forward to seeing yous all tomorrow i wish Kaiser could have come, but considering i decided to come last Sunday, and i will be paying for it tomorrow, its my own fault that there are no doggie places left. Anyways i shall see yous all nice and early (for a Saturday) tomorrow morning.
  18. A last minute decision, i've decided that i find the money. and will be going :p So i will see yous all there next weekend
  19. :p You two did so well to day!!!! Now i really think you deserve that drink ;)

  21. There's always the oldies like Koehler or Col Konrad Most. Even if you dont agree with there methods there always worth a read. I quite like Balabanov, i have his book advanced schutzhund which i found a good read, and his DVD obedience without conflict is great!! it is a two dvd pack, one of which is all about drive building and obedience through playing games with your dog! i have found it has really increased the speed and accuracy of my boys OB. Thanks for stating this thread, i am definalty going to keep an eye on it :D i have bought a heap of new books this week, and am still looking for some more.
  22. She gets walked daily. i am the only person living here, so when im not home she is home alone. (by that i mean no people are home, she still has the other dogs.) Yes she can see the street. all our fences are wire. Many bones, lots of toys (although she does not play with them), if she wants to she can dig, she has her little sleeping spot that she likes to dig in. She is also with my dobie boy, and they play constently. but the moment she hears a noise (i.e like i said before, when the neighbours come home) she is off like a rocket, barking and charging threw the fence. ETA- i just sent an email to innotek, so it will be interesting to read their reply.
  23. Thank you for that Kelpie-i, i will go down to bunnings and have a look. Thanks  Thank you very much for your offer hmmm would it be safe?? i am able to borrow some money (off a very kind friend) until i get the money from the government, so, thank you very much though, it might be safer for me to buy a new one. im not to good with electrical stuff. im great at pulling it apart, but not at putting it back together Thank you again Erny, Midol and Kelpie-i it is greatly appreciated.
  24. Thank you for the suggestion, for both of your posts. Thats what i wanted done, i gave my parents the measurements, and what i wanted. they said they'd make it. and when i came home from my partners house they had built the pen. its made out of the rectangle wire 1 or 2 inch squared. and is on gravel, that is quite set into the ground. and is in a totally different spot to where i wanted it (instead of in the middle of the property where the barking wouldnt bother the neighbours, and id hear them first, its right next to my neighbours) i think with this bonus we're getting from the government i'll build another small "night-time" pen.
  25. Thank you for your help I will contact innotek and and the containment system people and see what they have to say. i never thought of that, thank you. She goes under the fence, or straight threw it (kind of charges at it then climbs over). I live in victoria, so i will go have a look now. We got Chevy when she was about 6 - 8 months old, so i dont know what happened to her before we got her. but she is very, i'll use the word, sensitive. She gets set off with every little noise or movement. as she cant see threw to the other side of the fence (there are cypress trees there) she can hear noises but cannot see them. and will react, by barking, then going threw the fence. This happens most nights when the neighbours come home and they make some noise or are talking.
