  1. I don't really trust the soft crates with strong breeds. I might get two smaller crates to put them in.
  2. Nope, just had way too much to do :D You? Nope I didn't go either ;) .
  3. I'm really liking the Hyundai Sante Fe .
  4. I'm wondering what people use at training/trials to contain their dogs. I tried out the large crate today to see if the two dogs would fit in together just for short periods when out and no they didn't fit . I do have a giant crate they fit in together but it weighs a tonne. I was thinking about getting a pen maybe. I'm hoping to get a new car soon, probably a station wagon so then I'll have the back of that to use but at the moment I have a sedan and don't like to leave the dogs alone in case they wreck the car . Todays crate test .
  5. At the moment I have a Ford sedan and want to trade it in for a station wagon or ute with a canopy. I do like the idea of a ute but then I think with the station wagon the dogs can be in the airconditioning so I'm not sure what to get. Just wondering what most people have as there 'doggy mobiles' .
  6. Just wanted to add it's not only an old dog thing, Sophie is 4. I should be able to have her off the medication over winter but come summer when she drinks more she needs the medication.
  7. I've just started Sophie on the tablets for incontinence and it only took three days for them to work.
  8. Did you go to the show 'n' go RubyStar?
  9. I'm not . Banjo hasn't had a good run lately. He had a throat infection, then a grass seed inbetween his toes he had cut out on Monday. Today is the first time I've done any training with him this week and Sophie is going to need a refresher course .
  10. My favourite is this one . http://www.airdogs.com.au/agility/product....=255&page=1 Although I haven't used it for ages, I'm just buying clothes with deep pockets , should make the transition to having the food off me easier.
  11. I might have to add this book to my growing collection .
  12. I didn't want to start my own thread so thought I'd post this here and it is a bit of a brag anyway . I took the dogs to the park and did the 'Hansel and Gretel' game with Banjo which he's going great at and then I decided to give Sophie a go and she was a star. I just had to say 'ready to work' and she was super excited, I've never done the 'Hansel and Gretel' game with her and it's been years since she's done 'competition heeling' and she was so good at it . The two dogs are so different, Banjo is laid back and a plodder and Sophie is pretty high strung and so fast. I did want to trial her but she did her cruciate before she was even 12 months old (she's 4 now) and I kinda ruled it out but I've been thinking she races around on her off lead runs without pulling up sore so why not give her a go and I'm glad I did, it'll be good to train two such different dogs. I think it'll do wonders for her confidence, she's already strutting around and I love that.
  13. I'm loving this cool weather . Did anyone go watch DWD at Midland lastnight?
  14. Simple answer - Yes! So glad I found DOL and so are my dogs I'm sure .
  15. Oh my god Cider's finish was soooo cute!
  16. The Joint Guard does work . Sophie is lame without it.
  17. Yeah but the combined products like Interceptor are a combined heartwormer/intestinal wormer.
  18. Sophie had to be in a crate for eight weeks but I only work ten minutes from home so I came home on my lunch break to let her out to the toilet and have a lay in the sun.
