That's because obedience is better .

I thought I read somewhere that the canine grounds were free to use for members but now I can't find where I read it. So my question is can you train there without joining whatever clubs are run from there. Thanks .

I've noticed in rally the dog drops from a sit and the left about turn has to be with the dog going around the handler. I'm wondering if this is going to be a problem with obedience trialing dogs.

Ruby looked great RubyStar . She did some beautiful heel work.

Great work TerraNik . It actually bought a tear to my eye at the end when you picked him, knowing how happy you were just to be there. Jedi looked so cute in his coat to .

Mine were cheaper with the freight than buying from here.

We still have four months until the Rally-O seminar in Perth, I can't wait! I found this DVD on Dogwise and was wondering if anyone has watched it. http://www.dogwise.com/ItemDetails.cfm?ID=DTO245

Obedience Instructors Going Too Far!
Tiggy replied to Miss Squish's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Totally agree. How dare someone do that to any dog . Leave this club :D . I've been to a few clubs and no dog has been treated harshly let alone abused. -
Just get Deb(bedazzled) to refer you and you'll get an email conformation. You'll have to open a yahoo email account.
-
RubyStar you should join WA Click, that's where bedazzled posts details about the show'n'go's.

I will be going just have to wait for Banjo's foot to get better. I want to give agility another go with him so that should be a laugh .
-
If you fill in the form on their website they'll email you and send you out a membership pack. I got an email straight away and the lady was very helpful.

How about Eden Hill, I'm going to be going there . Monday they have agility classes and Thursday after obedience they set up equipment and do their own thing.

Sending Daisy a big hug .

Could have a point there huski.

I am a member of Eden Hill and it is excellent for Agility, obedience has some good instructors [who are obedience judges], but we don't really consider ourselves an obedience club. We prefer to concentrate on agility. The agility side of it is probably one of the best clubs for agility instruction. The club has 4 agility judges who are instructors and some of the best handlers in the state train with Eden Hill on a Monday. But they also run good beginners classes. It is a club that gives heaps back to its members during the year and also at the end of year awards night. Hope this helps:) I might have to give agility another crack .

It would be interesting to know if the experienced trialers use a stay command - bedazzled ptolomony help .
-
I like to have a stay command. I have the verbal, my hand signal and me stepping off on my right foot. I totally agree with what Staranais said "I figure my dog's on my team, why not give her all the information I can?". I want to help my dog in the ring as much as I can .

Dog Not Wanting To Work In Class Some Days
Tiggy replied to Mas1981's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
I've been in the same situation of the dog and myself getting bored in class which is way too long at 1 hour. I haven't trained at a club for two years, only now that we're nearly ready for CCD am I looking at going back mainly for distraction training. I've asked my clubs if it's okay for me to do my own thing and they were fine with it and I'll just do bits and pieces in class then swap dogs, play, take a break etc.
