  1. Today both dogs worked beautifully . Our left/right turns are so much better with the new t-turn footwork so thanks for bringing it up you guys. We have a practice trial this Sunday , I'll do the heelwork and recall, no SFE or stays. The SBTCWA has a show the same day and as they're trying to get more people interested in obedience etc we might be getting our photo taken for the newsletter .
  2. Slightly off topic where do you guys park at Eden Hill. I went one Thursday when the obedience once on and it looked like you had to park on the street. I suppose I could set my crate up at the club house though. I'm actually thinking Eden Hill might be good for me for obedience because I mostly want to do my own thing but would like some feedback on all the things I'm probably doing wrong .
  3. I'll definitely come to the Rally-O classes at Eden Hill .
  4. There's a group of Dolers going to the Rally-O seminar . Did you download the registration form off the Southern River website. I can't open it properly . I wonder if someone could email it to me if I could open it .
  5. I don't think we'll get any rally-o clubs until it's ankc recognised. I'm joining Midland again on Tuesday after a two year hiatus and maybe joining Perth to.
  6. Don't say that now I'll want to join ACWA, which I've said so many times , I do really it's just so far .
  7. Yes but unfortunately they often post on the website after I have already had to leave Which is why when in doubt I often choose not to go as I have driven the hour before to find out that training had been cancelled An hour drive..... sounds familiar, it also takes me an hour to get down there which is why I dont go very often... It's about an hour for me to. I've always wanted to go to the the ACWA but it's so far ;) . So it's not raining here yet but I did get a bit rained on earlier when I walked the dogs. Buster must know there's a storm coming because usually he doesn't want to come inside :D but today he came straight in, I have the total opposite problem with the Stafford kids .
  8. Started the Shirley Chong dumbbell training today. The dogs were great , I had a few moments when I'd forget to put the dumbbell behind my back. The dogs like these training sessions where they get a heap of click and treats for not doing much .
  9. What's wrong with you people, macadamias are yum! Macadamia and white chocolate cookies are my favourite.
  10. I have a white Astra wagon but it wasn't me ;) .
  11. I practiced the turns on my own over and over until I got pretty good at it then had a go with the dogs. Left/right turns were great, the about turns what about turns, they need alot of work, just when I thought we were nearly ready to trial but we'll get there.
  12. Yeah I'm interested in knowing what a T turn is aswell ? can anyone explain more ???..................... Where you are making a right turn - so you take a step with your right foot and your left foot makes the top of the T as you turn right...... The same for left turns so step with your left foot and as you step with your right foot you place it so it forms the top of the T as you turn. yeah I know what I want to say - just can't put it in words - sorry...... I understand .
  13. For those who got to the ACWA do you find it better than your normal obedience/agility club?
  14. Hint hint RubyStar . I know Ptolomy and bedazzled train at K9. Love to tag along for that .
