The lead is 4ft, if you look closely about 2/3rds of it is hanging down in front of my legs, don't know what I was doing there .

Have you done retrieving with your dogs Ptolomy?

I like Banjo's focus in this photo . This was SFE.

I've done all that and they're fine. I think the problem was having them both there they were looking for each other. I'll be joining two clubs this week which will be good practice for having one in the crate while I train the other then swapping. Banjo is much more panicky about wanting to find Sophie. I'm actually feeling good about it though because now I know what I need to work on .

RubyStar when I was getting my scone I overheard a lady saying how beautiful Millie was working .

Teaching the kick band stand is good because you can have the dog sit-stand-then sit again so it helps teach the difference between the sit and stand.

We went to the practice trial today. I saw you there RubyStar and bedazzled . So we need a whole lot of distraction training. The dogs especially Banjo were so distracted it felt like it was our first day at training . So I'm joining a couple of clubs this week. One brag was both dogs did the SFE with very limited training .

I get pretty nervous when I'm in the ring . You'll be amazed at how red my face goes from just being nervous. The more i trial the less nervous i have become and i think the reason for that is having confidence in Diesel Knowing that no matter how nervous or not nervous i am he will still do what i ask from him and when it does go pear shaped at least i get a good laugh from it . Don't put too much pressure on yourself have fun with it ! Maybe we could arrange a little cheer leading squad for you :D :love: Thanks for the cheer squad .

No it wasn't a private lesson it was afternoon tea and I couldn't help myself - a beagle was on my wish list before I discovered duck dogs. I still can't imagine you with a Beagle .

Just wanted to post that I'm no longer going to put a time frame on when we'll be ready to trial because when I do I start to get nervous and stop having fun, so I'm just going to keep training and when we're ready we're ready! Today I was feeling like maybe I didn't want to trial in obedience but I've already changed my mind again because I do love it.

So huski how did you bribe Ptolomy for the private lesson . I haven't had one and I'm in WA although I'd probably end up .

I'm taking Banjo to agility training again since everyone else is having such a fun time with it . I don't know if he'll ever be up to trial standard but it'll be fun and it'll train me for my next dog.

I think agility is the only dog sport she doesn't do .

So I think I'm well and truely an obedience nut . I bought the dogs kangaroo roasts today to cook up for training treats. I don't cook for myself but have some strange pleasure when it's for the dogs :D . It's so funny when I remember back to the old days when I first started at a club with some dried food, it's gourmet dining now .

Wow that's awesome that they are encouraging More obedience dogs . I was looking on their website the other night to see what activities they were mainly involved with but just looked like showing . Do they do any other types of activities lure coursing etc ??? OH and I are moving to WA soon so might see you out there Tiggy !!!! The club is pretty much just for the showies and breeders at the moment but they're trying to get more people involved that do obedience, agility etc. Alison Leggo from the committee has been so supportive of me and has offered to take photos when we trial as long as it doesn't make me too nervous . Looking forward to meeting you when you move to WA :D .
