  1. I have to hammer them in with a mallet .
  2. I'll look for the metal retic spikes the next time I'm at Bunnings.
  3. I went to Bunnings and got some pvc coated metal gaden stakes which were good as they have a spike and some pipe to put over them. Only cost me $22 and gives me something to start with at least.
  4. At agility training they teach the channel method for weave poles but are happy for you to use whatever method you want to. I'm going to try the 2 x 2 weaves to :p . Just have to fork out for the dvd :D .
  5. I'm the same - have thought about maybe getting a different breed one day - but no I won't, nothing compares to my beloved Stafford.
  6. Banjo did the bendy tunnel for the first time last night to . Once he did it he wanted to keep doing it the show off .
  7. We had another great night at agility training . My handling is slowly getting better, although my Instructor laughed at me when I stopped because I thought Banjo was going too fast  , she said there's no such thing as too fast .
  8. Once they're measured is it for life? I remember when I had horses you had to have it done every year unless I think they had the same measurement three times in a row but mine always measured different every time .
  9. Why aren't you going to the ADAA trial this week .
  10. I need to buy or make weave poles for training at home. I think 6 will be fine to begin with. I was thinking of getting tomato stakes, sticking them in the ground then putting the pvc pipe over the top, not sure if this will work . Alternatively I found these on ebay which I just need to buy the pvc pipe for - http://cgi.ebay.com.au/6-STAKES-WEAVE-POLE...=item563190c0d9. I have seen plastic garden stakes at Bunnings before so will check them out but I have no faith in my equipment making skills .
  11. There's an ADAA trial in WA this week which got me doing some research. I'm wondering who does it and what they think of the differences between ADAA and ANKC. Banjo would be a midi dog which would be fine for the 400 height in combined but the 550 in international would be too heigh for him. It also says midi dogs can compete in mini but not sure how that works. It's very confusing . Banjo is actually over breed standard height so the smaller Staffords would be in mini.
  12. I connect the hose to the laundry tap like you use to do. Sorry not much help with what you can do with the new taps .
  13. Are any WA Dolers doing the upcoming ADAA trial? I need to read more about the ADAA but what are the main differences between that and the regular ANKC agility? Thanks .
  14. I've always meant to but still haven't . I do plan out what I'm going to do before I train.
  15. I chose break as my release word as I use okay all the time and I use go on or go for going ahead of me. The only thing I had to change was my wait to a stay as wait and break sound very similar and I definitely don't want them two confused .
  16. There was a Rottweiler with suspected parvo when I was at the vet on Wednesday . That was Midland area to.
  17. Just an update on Banjo's agility training . I took him to the park yesterday and worked on start line stays, leaving him in a 'stay' and making sure he was only releasing on my verbal 'break' cue. I give him 10/10 . I was releasing him to his Dman tug(plug ) and boy was he racing to get it.
  18. I'm guessing this is just a fun class? Look at the little chunker go .
  19. Has payment due date passed for that already? No it closes in June the 18th I think.
  20. Kenzie said she doesn't want to share with her big sister .
  21. I only just noticed today that the Rally-O seminar is at the GSDA grounds not canine. Lucky I noticed now and didn't rock up at the wrong place .
  22. Are you doing ET with my Bretty .
