  1. Fingers crossed all goes well with Lincoln's surgery. I guess I won't be seeing you at dog training for a while.
  2. Mmmmm maybe on Thursday I should ramp up the "party" and bring all 5 down!!!! BTW Tiggystaff, it is kizzy's 5th birthday on Saturday so I am bringing cake on Monday to celebrate with. Make sure you get a piece!!!! Thanks myzchev
  3. I have a smallish yard and yes would love to have more land but the dogs cope fine and they spend most of the day sleeping anyway and only seem to use the yard if we go outside .
  4. Congrats amypie and Kyzer I have the same thing with Banjo if my Dad comes so I think I'll ban him from my first trial at least
  5. I love this clip. Winnie is so cute .
  6. What is a "fold back drop from stand" ? I'm teaching my puppy to drop from a stand- she is a labrador so she just flops to the ground with no trouble at all! Her front feet go down first and then her bum, its very cute! I made the mistake of teaching my other dog to drop from sit and she never seemed to get it 100% For obedience trials the dog must fold back into a drop rather than come forward into a drop if you get what I mean
  7. Great work and Paris is beautiful

  11. In Midland somewhere? I'm going to have to come along, to socialise! Eden Hill
  12. Sophie did her cruciate as a pup and is now going on 5. She's on a 4 week course of cartrophen at the moment, only needs it at the start of winter and only since last winter, and she has Joint Guard all year. I wouldn't think they could do agility with the dog, I do obedience with Sophie but not agility and definitely no ball chasing where they run and twist after the ball.
  13. Ivy would fit right in where I train, It's a Groenendael party there .
  14. 5&1/2 week old Rottweiler pup at the Vet the other day . The owners left in a huff when the Vet said it was too young to vaccinate .
  15. If you think maybe you would like to trial you're better off teaching her to drop correctly from the start which is the fold back drop from the stand. I also taught a casual lie down. Also make sure you aren't saying drop as a cue before she understands the command.
  16. If you're going to trial in obedience don't have her sit first, have her drop from a stand .
  17. Looks like she wanted to get inside the bed
  18. Glad you and Brookie are okay . It's always scary when a loose dog comes running at you and three loose dogs . I'd report it to the Ranger if I was you. By the way I drove past your shop on Tuesday and saw your car out the front but was to chicken to come in and say Hi .
  19. Had a great time at obedience training tonight . Both dogs were heeling like little dynamos . I got some great pointers to. One of the Instructors asked for a 270 degree turn and we were all like say what . She said just getting you ready for Rally :D . Doggies are asleep on the lounge now and I'm off to bed to :D .
  20. Had a great training session with both dogs . Sophie's heel work was so enthusiastic and she's getting some great rear end awareness on them turns . It was funny I've never released the dogs from a stay by throwing a toy behind them before, so one at a time I did a short drop stay then threw the toy behind them and said get it and they both looked at me like is this a trap .
  21. I feel like doing some obedience training today - maybe I'm over my slump . I'm even taking the dogs to obedience training tomorrow night which I haven't done since starting agility training with Banjo. I was thinking if Rally is going to be ANKC recognized next year maybe we'll make our debut in that .
