  2. Hope it's not scared of sheepies like Brookie
  3. Edited for duh English!!! I was thinking about dropping the hand signal because I actually don't need it but if I ever advance to the signals exercise I though I'd use hand signals or do most people use verbal signals.
  4. valleyCBR are you still going to the Rally seminar? I'm going - I sent my form off yesterday. By the way it was freezing at Eden Hill last night, no one came for agility, just us tough obedience people toughing it out . RubyStar I might be coming to watch obedience at the Royal so maybe I can sit with you .
  5. If you enteryou generally get two passes can work out cheaper ?? So I should enter a dog, then scratch them, just to get a cheaper entry ticket? That's a good way If the pass system is the same as last year the passes can only be used for the day your have entered,so if you do scratch you could only attend that day irrespective Yep that's fine, I only want to go to watch the obedience, I'm not interested in the rest of the show. ie. overpriced rides and showbags! Sounds like a good plan RubyStar
  6. Hey just a quick question - what hand signal do you use for stay/wait? I'm asking because last night Sophie went to drop on my wait signal and when I thought about it I thought they are kind of similar. I'm definitely keeping my drop signal(worked hard on training drops ) which is the common right hand signal most people do and my wait was my right hand 'closing the gate' like I was first taught but maybe I'll do something with my left hand .
  7. The Royal is a real tough environment so make sure this isn't your first trial Its also a very l o n g day but its great fun. Scoota's favourite event is the Royal - he gets to share fairy floss and lollies with all the kids Definitely won't do it as a first trial and I doubt we'll be ready for it this year but I'd love to come watch. Are you serious no car.
  8. huski - Callicoma sell the white plastic dumbbells
  9. theres Nothing quite like a Stafford cry/talk is there ? When i was taking my oldest Stafford to obedience and looking at trialling her in CCD (before the blindness ) she talked the whole way through our training session . we'd be all lined up listening for our instructions and Bebe would be talking away , SFE forget it mum, this is a chance to tell the instructors exactly what ive been thinking sealed with a big kiss and a famous stafford headbutt !
  10. Is she dog aggressive or does she want to play with everyone?
  11. Who's going to the royal show this year? I'd love to do the obedience with Sophie if we're ready.
