  1. Obedience - her sessions are very short - she would be out of the car for less than 5 minutes at any one time - but she would have 3 or 4 of these if I had taken her to K9. I also don't tend to get her out and stand around talking while she is on a lead - she comes out we do something and then she goes away and then I go and talk. When i get her out I expect her to give me 100% attention and in return she gets 100% of mine Agility wise - the beginners go for an hour - but I am usually only doing things with her for 30 minutes at most and only a couple of minutes on each bit of equipment. Yeah at home and at the park across the rd I tend to keep his sessions short say like 10 or 15 minutes max, and I will sort of do one exercise, then throw his ball for awhile, then maybe do another etc etc. I find that he has a very short concentration span. I struggle with my attention span . Training at home I'll do maybe 5 minutes, at club training I take breaks and put the dogs away if I need to.
  2. Hey myzchev is there going to be cake tomorrow night
  3. I totally agree . I feed raw in the morning and Nutro in the evening.
  4. How much are the sardines? My doggies would love them. That's pretty cheap, must get some next time I'm there.
  5. Has anyone tried these collars? They look pretty spiffy . http://www.dublindog.com/Dublin-Dog-Store/
  6. I have heard the same thing about the Swan Animal Haven before but I did meet one of the ladies from there when I was at the Vet and she was lovely. I can hear the dogs at the Haven barking from my house .
  7. Hey Mas1981 let me know if you find a Vet that does the titre test - hopefully locally.
  8. I think we worked out that he needs around 700g a day, maybe I will make is 600g and then go from there, I suppose labs can pick up weight very fast... and does that 2% include the potato or is that just the meat? When I was feeding a meat/veg BARF mix I included the veg in the weight.
  9. Start with his weight x 2% but adjust as need be. My big dog is about 37kg but only needs about 500 grams a day or he'll get fat. He was 44kg at one stage but has been lean for years now and he's nearly 10.
  10. Do you have a rough idea what time the seminar will finish on the Saturday? It starts at 9am.
  11. Hey ness I was bad, very bad - I ordered my trial leash but couldn't help myself I got two of the 6 foot ones as well .
  12. Closing date for the Rally-O seminar is this Friday if you haven't already registered
  13. That's what I do to bedazzled :D but you said it better than me :D , when I said I stop on my left foot I meant close with my left leg like you said.
  14. I was wondering do most of you try to come to a stop on your left leg for a halt/drop/stand. I always do for the halt(sit) but sometimes I muck it up for the others but it doesn't seem to bother the dogs.
  15. Not too many sleeps to go before then! I got my confirmation in the mail today yay! :D
  16. Kenzie had her puppy fuzz Thanks for the videos
  17. Ptolomy with the hula hoop do you shape the sit in the hoop or put a target down in the hoop or ask the dog to sit in the hoop or all of the above .
  18. Buy yourself a hula hoop and teach him to sit in it. You can work your way back to send him from a distance - this is the start of UD work and dog in the box. Have you taught him to hold a dumbbell yet - thats something else you can have fun with. I'm getting a hula hoop, good idea Ptolomy
  19. I started duration work with Soggy Bear tonight. I spent longer walking to the oval than I did actually training LOL. I like doing big circles to and spiraling in and out of circles, it's fun and good when you can't be bothered with turns . I didn't know it was called duration work. Forgot to ask do you circle both ways or only to the left(dog on your inside).
  20. So the dog still hasn't been taken to the Vet
