  1. Found a great new spot to walk the dogs this morning . I think it's called Sandy Beach, it's in Bassendean, it has lots of walking tracks. This woman had two dogs, one followed us for ages we started thinking maybe it wasn't hers so we stopped and when she caught up we asked if it was hers and she says yes sorry I'm daydreaming this morning, so we keep walking and the dog still follows us and she never calls it back we crossed a road, this dog jumped into someones backyard with their dogs, then followed us some more then I don't know where it went. Weird maybe she wanted to lose it, she made no effort to call it back and walked off in a different direction to us .
  2. My cool coat is about 4 inches too long, I ordered the size i did because the one size smaller coat that Mason has is too small, the coat fits him everywhere but its a tad long - will be taking it with tomorrow for the heeling clinic in case it gets hot. Are you attending Tiggy? Banjo's only little he's getting a 20" . I'm not going to the heeling clinic, hope you guys have fun .
  3. Ouch I hate mozzies. There's this spot I walk the dogs in Woodbridge along the river and when it's mozzie season omg I get eaten alive, it's horrible. I've been on clean run again, I'm getting Banjo a cool coat since all the cool dogs have one but I'm tempted to get the In Focus book and that Dial Up The Distance DVD to.
  4. Can I ask how everyone teaches the stand. I'm re-training Banjo as the first method didn't stick. I'm using a bench outside to teach the kick back stand, first getting him to sit at the edge and then helping him up into a stand but I get how this works from a sit but what about heeling into a stand? I'm also using word association, getting that verbal stand cue in when I get him to stand at curbs before crossing the road etc but if I was training and said stand he'd sit.
  5. :p I'm exactly the same. My list for this week was building multiple hand touches, tugging while I have food on me and starting over training the stand because I fluffed it.
  6. State Bred Dog Third- Burberry Kennels (BURBERRY COURT MARSHALL) aka Hoover - Banjo went to obedience with him as a pup and now I work with his owner, it's a small world .
  7. He got Best of Breed and was really relaxed, he was lying on the floor most the day and being patted by whoever walked past
  8. Carlisle and I bet it was for a Doler too - or at least a person who reads DOL if they aren't a member ;) Hurries off to D Store! It wasn't my package then , mine is Guildford post office.
  9. I can't hear that as I don't have sound at work ..... but I do have a babble ball on the way over from Clean Run .... is that where you got yours Tiggy? I was at the post office picking up a bix box from Clean Run the other day andthere was another big box from Clean Run there too, I almost pointed to it and said 'that one too', then I wondered if it belonged to another doler in my area It wasn't for me anyway Clean Run must be flat out right now with such a good exchange rate. Yep I got it from clean run ;) . Which post office do you go to? I bet the other package was for a doler :D .

  16. Thanks, amypie Website is great! Looks like so much fun! I am getting a Dobermann I am getting a little frustrated though, seems like just about everything is on a weeknight! And like I said before I can only go places at night every second week on weekdays. I am looking for a good place to do obedience and can only find one place that seems to do weekends, but it's over an hour from here. Could anyone point me in the right direction? I am in the southern suburbs. Someone told me that they thought there was a place in Gosnells that had classes on Sundays but I can't seem to find anything. emery, congrats Was there decent security at the Royal Show for dogs this year? Just curious after what happened to the poor lil Chi. I'm pretty sure Gosnells is at Lumen Christi on Sundays
