Mine only wear collars when out too so I'm not actually sure why I am so concerned over them being so wide Wish they came with matching leads, though! So how did you come up with the name Yoshimi? From the Flaming Lips album Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots I've been singing it to myself all day, her name is Yoshimi, she's a black belt in karate

Thanks

Hey could I get directions to where the dog pickup is at the airport, for Quantas. Yoshimi comes on the 1st of November .

:D I have to try and be good but can't promise . RS I have those limited slip collars for my dogs, I quite like them but there's a big difference between the medium and large, I got Banjo the large first but it looked too puffy as it was doubled up about half way, so now he has the medium which looks good but it's let out almost all the way, your girls might fit the medium, Banjo probably has a bigger head . Do they wear well as regular collars, or only when there is a lead attached? My girls have dainty necks so I usually buy the size under recommended for a Lab. I hate thick collars which is all they really do in large breed sizes! Like a thicker collar is going to make walking a large breed easier. Helloooo, training! I don't know if you would like them then RS cause they're pretty wide, mine don't wear collars at home just when they're out and yeah they're fine without the lead attached.

+1!! Oh lordy I am so jealous, I am yearning puppies again!! After Sunday and being completely frustrated with my girls, I was thinking puppy no way, but puppy cluckiness is back Tiggy, how are you going to cope with puppy's daytime meals and semi-confinement from your other dogs while you are at work? This is the thing I can't figure out if I get another pup. It was fine with Ruby, I was living at home then and had Mum and Dad working different hours meaning she was home by herself only a couple of hours during the day so I had someone to feed her while she was little. Now I live alone, and have 2 full grown Labs, I would have to contain puppy somewhere and have Dad come feed it during the day! It's all too hard I'm going to make her a yard that includes the laundry which I'll leave the door open for her. I can get my Dad to feed her in the morning then I finish work at 12.30 or 1.30 so feeding won't be a problem. I'm just a bit excited hence the reason I'm posting this at 2.44 in the morning .

She has a name 'Yoshimi'
-
Yep Warley baby, how lucky am I . Have you seen her sire Tonka? He's in Queensland, he trials in UD.
-
This is my new agility/obedience star in the making . She hasn't got a name yet . She's got a name - introducing 'Yoshimi' .
-
No more I promise . I'd be happy with two but it hasn't worked out that way. Last week I was looking at one of the boys and Ptolomy told me to go for it so I blame her .
-
I'm hoping she'll be a little agility star, she might even scrape into the 300 height. The Joden dogs are really athletic, and Magicmine does obedience and agility with all her dogs and Dad Tonka is in UD and he's only 4. I'd like to do the puppy agility classes at ACWA with her. Banjo will still be my baby boy .

He looked lovely

Last photos for now I promise . She should be here on the 1st of November .

With her brother Pea. He's the smallest boy in the litter so you can see how small she is. Love this one Have to think of a name now. At the moment she's called Squirty .

This is my new girl. She's MAGICMINE A POT OF BLACK CCD CDX x CH JODEN WICKED WAYS. Dream litter for me, I had to have one. If anyone asks I have two dogs .

And that is the problem with a lot of dogs. They think I'm not breaking my stay if I lie down, I'm still staying! My next dog I think I will teach maintaining a position, not maintaining a stay. Much like ness is doing with Kenzie, if she says sit, it means sit there until released. Not sure how I'll go with that though, hard to break old habits using stay commands I have done a bit with Ruby already, and she is getting the idea. I like that method to but yep it's hard to break the habit of saying stay .

LOL remember the rules are the dog stops performing as soon as you enter a trial. You still have time, stay calm and patient and don't rush training. The leg lift is minor point deductions. The trial is on the 12th of November to, not this month, so might fix it before then. Can't promise I'll stay calm .

Tiggy try not to do a down stay straight after a sit stay work them at separate times for a while. Its still an issue with Soggy so last night as soon as we started training we did a down stay and sit stays were the last thing on the nights agenda. I have issues with Soggy getting up as I return to her in a down stay I only did the sit stay today and when we go to training I'll pick one to do as a group stay so he doesn't start to anticipate after the sit comes the drop. I mentioned ages ago that he can be very vocal in his stays, he actually wasn't too bad today, had a bit of a whine but then when I made it easier for him he was quiet.

I wouldn't do the stays if we weren't on a pass.
