  1. I agree my dogs my choice ;) . RSG and me agree on vaccinating so I have her support bugger the vet :D .
  2. ;) that's funny The vet did ask what I was feeding and I just said raw and a bit of dry, he probably would have had a heart attack if I said well he'll be having a turkey wing(small one) for lunch :D
  3. Bear was such a good boy at the vet and slept on the car ride there and back . The vet was annoying me though :D , I hate getting the third degree about my choice to get the C3 not C5, I didn't bother telling him I won't be bringing him back for a third vac at 16 weeks, plus he recommended the heartworm injection grrrr. On the plus side I'll be able to take the little boy out soon
  4. I've been told Banjo sounds like a turkey for Staffies outside 24/7 obviously they haven't learnt to open doors like mine :D
  5. I wonder how the Toller scream compares to the SBT scream :D . The first night Bear was here he screamed for an hour, I was like oh my god what have I done , but he's a good boy now . His scream is like a yodel/howl and Banjo still does it every day when it's time for walkies .
  6. So did you end up doing the Mock trial thing?? and don't tell me you have taken up drinking like Rubystar
  7. I did some heelwork with Banjo this morning without having food on me and oops I've not done enough of that . I best be working on that before our first trial . He did do a lovely hand target into line up postion .
  8. What a lovely cool morning . I'm taking Bear to the vet this morning for his vac, should be an interesting car ride since he screamed on the drive home from the airport .
  9. It's in US dollars but now's the time to buy from the US with our dollar being so good
  10. I was wondering do you guys put a verbal cue on the hand touch? I don't, I figure the physical cue of holding my hand a certain way for the touch is sufficient and I always thought I might want to use a 'go touch' cue for sending the dog away to touch something or for 2o2o.
  11. Started some shaping with the puppy today . I'm shaping him to touch a flower pot with his nose, he's at the stage where he will reliably look at me then look at the pot, will start to wait for movement towards the pot next. It amazes me how smart dogs are, I couldn't believe how quick he caught on. I tried it with Banjo next, he's already running from a short distance to nose touch the pot, he loved it .
  12. They only have the 6ft ones so I'm safe I find that length too long
  13. Yep I have the same thing with Banjo, to the point where he would run into a jump because he wouldn't take his eyes off me, I stopped taking him to training so I can work on foundation stuff without any equipment and will start back next year .
  14. http://www.dogswest.com/ Does this mean there's been reported parvovirus cases? :D

    New Crate

I have my SBT pup in a 36" crate and he's never gone to the toilet in there.
  16. I'm in the same boat as you with the multiple disciplines so will be interested in the replies :D . In regards to training more than one dog at home I'll either bring one into the house to train or if I'm training outside put the other dogs inside or train out the front .
  17. Congrats emery Rotti bubbas are looking cute :D
  18. I can't believe I've had Baby Bear two weeks already
