  1. I feed the Greenpet Essentials Supplement. http://www.greenpet.com.au/pet-shop/cart.p...;category_id=74
  2. I think they've gone up to about $20 a roll in WA. Way too expensive for me!
  3. My 2 year old Stafford was showing symptoms of Pancreatitis and her blood test showed up a slight abnormality. I fed her the Tuckertime chicken and rice flavour and nothing else for two weeks and she did really well on it. I'm now in the process of slowly getting her back onto a raw diet. I've had to reduce the fat and bone in her diet and she can't have her food changed daily eg chicken one day, beef the next. She still has the odd sick day but it doing much better. I'm going to try her on the Vets All Natural Complete Mix mixed with lean meat and any bones she can handle such as kangaroo tails. It's frustrating because she's looking very lean for a Stafford but it's hard to get the weight back on. Goodluck with your doggy.
  4. I know most people use Juicers but I prefer using a Food Processor. I got a pretty good one for just over $100. I put liver and heart through it to.
  5. Hooray I got a reply :D ! I've decided to feed them the Vets All Natural again instead of dry food. I'll mix it with fresh human grade mince and a bit of liver. Sophie(the one with Pancreatitis) can't stomach the Kangaroo BARF patties and the BARF patties have ground bone which is high in fat. I'm slowly introducing new foods to see what she can and cannot eat. She can't have different foods every day. I need to feed one thing and stick to it then slowly introduce something else. She's still going off her food but not throwing up anymore. She's very lean for a Staffy but I can't feed her fatty foods because they make her sick.
  6. Do you think the Vets All Natural Complete Mix would be better than feeding a dry food seeing as it is a raw food. I've fed it before and I'm thinking about going back to feeding it again instead of Eagle Pack Holistic. The dogs do well on both but I'd rather feed a raw diet but I can't feed BARF patties anymore as Sophie got Pancreaitis on them.
  7. That's so funny. First photo two dogs, by the last photo four dogs.
  8. I really admire all you people who take your dogs training and compete in obedience/agility etc. I have spurts of motivation but then I lose interest. I'm wishing I'd stuck with going to obedience training. Haven't been since February . I'm thinking about trying Agility but will I stick with it . Do you sometimes lose motivation to? Or am I just lazy. ;)
  9. I've been to dog shows and the male Staffords in particular are definitely over that weight range. Banjo is a small male and weighs 21kg. He's from a registered breeder.
  10. The breed standard weight range for a Staffordshire Bull Terrier bitch is 11-15.4kg and for a dog 12.7-17kg. I have a small bitch who weighs 18kg and a 1 year old still growing dog who is 21kg. Both are in fit condition. Do you think the breed has gotten bigger and the weight range is outdated? I just find it interesting. Is it the same with other breeds?
  11. What are tubular leads? They look like normal nylon leads in the picture.
  12. I'm hoping to get some tips on how to modify a raw diet for a dog with Pancreatitis. She needs a low fat bland diet. She's being fed Tuckertime at the moment but I'd like to get her back onto a raw diet.
  13. This is my favourite. http://www.airdogs.com.au/agility/product....=255&page=1
  14. They didn't have the rabbit when I got mine.
  15. I get mine form Betters Pets and Gardens and the price hasn't gone up. $19.95 each or $72 for a box of four.
  16. I feel so embarrassed . 'Chocolate' you're one smart cookie. I never thought of popping them out of the plastic while frozen. I just tried it and it works! Problem solved!
  17. I took photos The box The plastic packaging
  18. I'm excited about the new Rabbit patties to but I'm really hating the new packets and they stink the bin out.
  19. What happened! They're not patties anymore, they come in little plastic pockets you have to cut open and squeeze out which is really messy.
  20. I get the 3/4 inch nylon leads not the polycoated. I get the normal stainless steel snaps on both ends. I don't find them heavy.
  21. I use the nylon Blocky Dogs leads. They're double thickness, so very strong and the snaps are top quality.
  22. I find the Black Dog leads too soft to get a good grip on as they fold in on themself and twist. I love my nylon leads from Blocky Dogs in the USA. I get the 3/4 inch 3 way adjustable lead with stainless steel snaps. Here's the link. http://www.blockydogs.com/leashes.htm
  23. Good topic! I have a Staffy who has always been lean but her weight fluctuates between skinny and lean, I can tell when she's lost weight because her collar gets loose. I'm going to try her on fattier cuts of meat/bones.
  24. If he's a lean active dog I'd try him on 500g a day.
  25. I'd try a super premium food like the Eagle Pack Holistic which has a single protein range which is good for dogs with allergies. The flavours are Anchovy, Duck and Lamb.
