  1. I live too far from the Canine Grounds. Thanks anyway.
  2. That websites old. The email doesn't work . I can ring the number on Dogswest. I suppose I could just go down one Friday. I'm not sure if it's on over school holidays though. :D
  3. Thanks huski . I'll have a read. I felt a bit silly asking what it was.
  4. I know a few people go to Agility at Ashfield. I want to start with Banjo and was wondering if you knew who was best to contact about when I can start. Is it off over school holidays? Thanks.
  5. I hear people on this forum talk about drive training. What is it and what training is involved?
  6. Well said 'Just Midol' . I feed the same but I'm still clinging to their Greenpet supplement :D .
  7. I feed a raw diet. It's not strictly barf or prey model. I feed raw meaty bones, meat, offal, fish, eggs, the Greenpet Essentials supplement and fish oil. It's been a few years since I first started feeding barf then last year changed to prey model and now it's a bit of a combination of the two and I'm really happy with how my dogs look.
  8. I feed my dogs about 3% raw to. Sophie could eat as much as she wants and never get fat .
  9. Sophie got a large swelling to. I rang the Vet and she said it's from being too active so I made sure to keep her quiet until she got her stiches out and she was fine.
  10. I use the Aristopet ear cleaner. It says on the bottle to use before or after swimming to dry the ears. It's really good.
  11. The Platypus arrived yesterday but I hid it until today so I could show people at work before the dogs got a hold of it :D . The dogs love it . Banjo was going so berserk he tired himself out. Banjo Sophie
  12. In WA we have a Camel and Sweet Pototo diet for elimination diets. It's sold at Better Pets and Gardens. I think it's WA only though.
  13. If you're feeding dry food as the main diet I'd definitely stick with two meals a day.
  14. I'll try some yoghurt . I use to feed it. Can't remember if it helped with farts .
  15. I do feed dried liver treats but they fart when they have them or not. It doesn't really bother me because they're thriving on the diet in every other way and when I have tried them on kibble they had big soft poos so I'm confident in sticking with the raw diet.
  16. I feed a premade BARF mix, raw meaty bones, meat, offal, sardines, eggs etc. I feed bones most days but haven't noticed them farting less on the days they don't have bones and the bones are good for keeping their poos firm.
  17. I'll get a platypus please .
  18. Does anyone elses dogs fart alot on a raw diet or is it just Staffords ? I've fed them both a raw diet since they were pups and they look great and have firm poos but do some real stinky farts . Sophie can clear a room with hers. Banjo's are loud but not as smelly. My other dog Buster(Lab X Rotty) never farts and he's on the same diet.
  19. The human grade mince at Coles is preservative free. It's made twice a day, the AM mince is marked down in the afternoon and the PM mince marked down the next morning.
  20. I'm a raw feeder but just to clarify there's a Supercoat Sensitive(sold at Coles) and a Supercoat Special care range which use to be sold at Coles but now only at Better Pets and Gardens etc. The Special Care range doesn't look like normal kibble the Sensitive does.
  21. Have you been feeding offal? Too much gives them runny black poos.
  22. I think it does make a difference. I wish I'd held off desexing Banjo until he was 12-18 months because he did lose that edge. He's still gorgeous though.
  23. Fish oil is better than the grain based oils.
