Spidey doesn't squeek anymore and he had a brief adventure outside when Sophie snuck him out .

Spidey is safe on the book shelf at the moment .

I can get them to send me a K9 News I think. I'll get my membership soughted this week. I'm nervous all ready but I need a kick up the butt to get out there .

Will there be CCD at the Western Classic? Is there a program out yet? I see they have early bird entries but I have to join Dogs West first. I'm thinking of biting the bullet and competing .

Once a fortnight I go to Woolworths to stock up on turkey wings/necks, lamb hearts and today even some kanga sausages for training treats, it's so embarrassing going to the checkout with this basket full of meat, I hope they don't think it's for me , all I had for us humans was a loaf of bread.

It's only $5 from the Natural Pet Store if it's under 500grams but Pookinuk is only $5.

My goal is to get into the trial ring for the first time and get Banjo's CCD title. I hope I won't let my nerves get the better of me like they did when I showed horses . I hope to be half as good as my dog, thanks Banjo for putting up with me :D . I want to have FUN!

I'm getting the VEBO crates.

I've decided to crate train my two so they can sleep in crates at night instead of wander around and nudge me in the face . Sophie had to spend eight weeks in a crate when recovering from an injury and she did like the crate but I want to properly crate train them both this time. I'm looking at getting Susan Garrett's 'Crate Games' but if anyone has any tips or internet links I'd appreciate it .

Banjo has a kinked tail so I'll have to check his next time we train :rolleyes: .

Why don't you walk one on each side. That's what I do and I rotate them so they're both good to walk on both sides. It sounds like you have them pulling ahead of you on a long lead if they can zig zag. I like my dogs to walk at my side, not pull ahead of me. I have a 'go on' command which means they can go to the end of their lead without pulling but 99% of the time they're at my side.

There's ones on their runs too and above each hook for their collars and leads! We had someone here to mind them in Jan when we went to NZ and he didn't know where everyone belonged! Not sure what size crate, do you want me to measure it? I was just wondering if it was a 36" but it looks bigger to me. I'm about to buy my two crates. Don't know how they'll like it after having free run of the house at night.

I agree with everything you said about being bored with the paddock bashing etc. I'm not training at a club for the same reason. What level class will you be Instructing?

Totally agree . I walk three dogs at once with no pulling so it works!

I was really upset when I read about this yesterday . That poor puppy should have been taken to the vet WEEKS ago .
