  1. Ridiculous as this might sound, we have 4 c crates trolleys (the oldest being 13 years) and now today we got number 5 (a four berth...very exciting). We have all different sizes and they are brilliant. Yes, they are heavier than other styles, but I love our ones, very sturdy and the have lasted horrendous weather and days when I've kicked the tyres (lol). I have looked at the others, but I like best how easy they are to put water bowls in (attaching to the sides) and the fact that I bought the first one so long ago and it is still in great condition has been the biggest factor in me continuing to buy from them. Nadia
  2. Exhibitors please note that due to a injury we have just been notified that Miss Pauline Suhr (NSW) will be unable to judge at Caboolture KC on Saturday and Sunday. We are very grateful to Mr Andrew Burt (Vic) who will now be judging Gundogs (Group 3) on the Saturday and also doing Grand Champion and Puppy Sweepstakes. We are yet to finalise a judge for Sunday for Group 2; but will let you know as soon as this occurs. Thanks must also go to Joyce Wheeler at Sunshine Coast KC who has helped us with getting Mr Burt. I will keep you posted on our judge for Sunday. Nadia Radcliffe Show Secretary Caboolture KC
  3. Just really wanted to remind exhibitors of two things for the Caboolture Show this weekend: 1. Please don't set up on the main arena in any form until the rings are put up on Saturday morning. Thanks for that. We want to make sure that as many people as possible get a close to the ring spot, so we will be fairly carefully laying out the rings to maximize ringside positions. Camping for Fridya night is in the camping area next to the main arena at the northern end of the showgrounds. 2. On Sunday ALL exhibitors will need to use Gate 3. There will be no other gate available for anyone to use as the Caboolture markets are on. Gate 3 is located on Beerburrum Rd. My advice is that if you are showing both days, then use Gate 3 on Saturday too, so you know exactly where you need to come in on the Sunday. All gates will be open on Saturday, and there will be other gates open prior to 5.15am on Sunday, but after that time only Gate 3 is opened. If you are camping overnight, obviously the gate situation only applies to if you are leaving prior to midday. We have an enormous entry with over 2,000 entered for the two days, so big thanks again for your support.... Any enquiries at all, feel free to contact me. Nadia Radcliffe
  4. Sure will be able to buy a catalogue, but I am thinking that by the looks of things, the Labs won't be on until close to lunch-time..maybe after it, can't be any more accurate than that. Group 3 has a great entry for both days. Nadia
  5. Just confirmed with Mark the caretaker at the Caboolture Showgrounds the following details: entry and exit each day will be ONLY available through Gate 3 which is on Beerburrum Road ;) all camping for Friday night is to take place in the Showgrounds camping area which is located next to the main arena at the northern end of the arena between the stables. There is a large camping area there camping on the Saturday night is available ringside on the main oval, or in the camping area :D please note that exhibitors are not to set up on the main oval until the rings have been set up. To ensure that we have the maximum access and parking, we will need exhibitors to wait until this is finished. We are anticipating setting up at 6am on Saturday morning. Obviously if you are there and would like to assist this would be welcomed. :D the canteen and toilet and showers are located at the Gamgee room (the two storey building next to the main arena on the beerburrum side of the grounds. More details during the week. Please feel free to pass on this information/cross post as desired. Thanks, Nadia Radcliffe Show Secretary
  6. Just wanted to send on behalf of the Caboolture Kennel Club, a huge thank-you to all of the exhibitors who entered our shows on the 20th and 21st of November. We have over 920 entered for Saturday's championship show; and over 800 for Sunday's show! (Plus huge sweepstakes entries on both days, and a great figure for our Open Show also.) These are magnificent numbers for our club, and we are grateful to those of you who have supported us by entering your dogs. More details still to come, so please keep reading the thread, and also tell all of your friends that the show is being held at the Caboolture Showgrounds Main Oval, not at Elimbah. Thanks again...a very busy week ahead here. Nadia Radcliffe Show Secretary Caboolture KC
  7. Wow is there THAT many sweepie entries?? Hmmm I cant even remember if I entered sweepies On the Saturday we have close to 100 sweepies, across the 4 different sweepstakes, with the most in Baby Puppy! I think each judge has pretty close to 50 each actually (2 sweepies a piece) so I would envisage that we won't be starting breeds for around an hour...we are thrilled with the response to the sweepies, and as it is Cash and Sash, there will be some very happy exhibitors with their winnings. Sunday has slightly less, but still probably close to an hour for each judge. Nadia Radcliffe Show Secretary
  8. Glad you are coming anyway, Auto. I have received several phone calls tonight regarding entries for Caboolture. Please, if you have any more entries you only options now are to seek out Jason Attridge around the Group 2 ring on Friday 5th November (tomorrow night) at Durack; or Saturday 6th November, at Durack also in the evening. Jason has Jack Russell Terriers, and if you don't know him, someone in the Group 2 area will point you in the right direction. Many thanks, Nadia Show Secretary
  9. THANKS AUTO for helping our numbers of entries by encouraging your friend to enter!!! She contacted me yesterday! Yes, yes, yes, I am still taking entries! (Actually had 8 phone calls in a row yesterday, literally had call waiting going, from people who still wanted to enter!) Just a reminder, that you need to get them in by Saturday at the latest! Many thanks, DOLers...we are really looking forward to the show!!! Nadia Radcliffe Show Secretary
  10. Great to hear you are coming! The Labradors?? Hmmmmm...well, I will have a better idea once the cataloguing is done, but given the show starts at 8 am with sweepies, I would think breed rings wouldn't be on until 9 am, so maybe after morning tea, say 11am....but stay tuned, I will give you a better idea in a week's time. Please keep those entries rolling in DOLers....you still have until Saturday 6th November to give them to Jason Attridge at the Terrier ring at Durack. Nadia
  11. Hi List, Just a reminder that I am still taking entries for Caboolture KC Shows on the 20th & 21st of November. Entries can be posted to me (as long as they arrive no later than Friday 5th November). Entries can also be given to Jason Attridge at the Terrier ring at the two Beaudesert KC Shows on Friday night, the 5th November and 6th November (Saturday night). If you can't find Jason, you are welcome to give entries to Debbie Creagh (CKC Secretary) at the Gundog ring on the Friday night; or to Julie Ruddle (CKC Treasurer) at the Non- Sporting ring, also on the Friday night. Any entries not given directly to Jason, will need to be handed in to Debbie or Julie on the Friday, as we will need to have them to process. Many thanks for all the support from the DOLers. We still have a small entry in Group 7, so if you are a Group 7 person, please, please get in some entries for our show. Yours, Nadia Radcliffe
  12. Hi Ishy, Well if you have any time over the Caboolture weekend of the 20th & 21st November we ARE definitely still taking entries, and would love Caboolture to be your first show. I'm not sure where you are located, by the sounds of things you were wanting to go to show-training at Durack was it, tonight?? Caboolture KC holds the only other show training (that I am aware of, happy to be corrected) and we are located at Elimbah (just next to Caboolture), but we are on Wednesday nights at 7pm. If you are interested then let me know and I can fill you in on the details. I'm sure you will get in the show ring soon, don't give up hope!! As I said, even if you just want to start with an Open Show, Caboolture has one at 1pm on Saturday 20th November and you would be finished by 3.30pm at the latest. Good luck with your showing!!!!!!!!!!! Nadia Radcliffe Caboolture KC Show Secretary
  13. Hi List, Just wanted to let everyone know that entries for Caboolture KC Shows on the 20th & 21st November can be given to JASON ATTRIDGE (with JRTs at the Terrier ring) this weekend at the Maryborough KC double header. There is still plenty of time to enter, and we have great judges coming from Interstate and OS (and 2 Qld ones on Sunday), all judging in their specialist ring/s. So please if you haven't done so already, get in some entries and support our KC, and the judges. Remember, after our three shows, there are only 3 more shows for the whole rest of the year!!!!! Many thanks, and feel free to post entries still to me if you aren't doing Maryborough. We won't be closing for another week. Nadia Radcliffe Show Secretary Caboolture KC
  14. Caboolture KC is being held at the Caboolture Show-grounds and they are right near the train station....don't know if there is one near Camp Hill though... Entries are still open, which is great for all people who want to still enter. THanks, Nadia
  15. Thanks to those Boxer people who have read the post and are sending in their entries! We would still like to see a lot more Boxers out there for Lionel, so please keep sending those entries in. Nadia Radcliffe Show Secretary
  16. Wanted to let all BOXER exhibitors and Group 6 people in QLD and Nrthn NSW (ooh and beyond) know that the CABOOLTURE KC SHOWS on the 20th & 21st November have a BOXER Specialist judging - Mr Lionel Bleakley from Victoria. The Boxer club has kindly donated a gorgeous sash for BOB Boxer, and as we have so many quality Boxers locally we would love to give Lionel a great entry of our local Boxers for him to judge and make him earn his money! So if you are a Boxer person, or a Group 6 exhibitor then please get your entries in for our Caboolture KC Show. I will still be taking entries for at least another week, so you still have time to enter. Many thanks, Nadia Radcliffe
  17. I am still taking entries for Caboolture KC. Many of you have heard of Clyde Rogers (NZ) being quite ill, well he is now fighting fit and looking forward to coming out to be on our judging panel. John Sullivan (Vic) has also been sick of late, but I will keep you all notified if any changes occur. John is at this stage still judging for us. Many thanks to those of you who have entered! We obviously would like to make past the 750 numbers to give double DOL points...so please get your entries in and come and enjoy what should be a lovely weekend of showing. Any queries can be PMed to me. Nadia Radcliffe Show Secretary
  18. Just a reminder that I am definitely still taking entries for Caboolture KC on the 20 & 21st November. A few details: Venue - Caboolture Showgrounds, Main Arena - plenty of camping, toilets & showers Judging Panel we have two international judges doing our General Specials each day for the Champ Shows & our GS Judge for the Open Show is not doing any groups, just General Specials. Our panel are all judging in their specialist groups for Day 1 and many are also doing this for Day 2. Prizes - This is a cash and sash show...the more entries the more prize money for our exhibitors Junior Handlers - YES, both days we have Junior Handlers & judges who really specialize in judging our juniors - prizes for handlers are also in cash Sweepies - both days we have sweepies - 4 different ones to try and cater for lots of you - Baby Puppy, Puppy, Junior and Grand Champion on both days. PLEASE come along and enjoy what should be a fabulous 2 days of showing & you can turn it into a 3 day event with Sunshine Coast on the Friday!! PM me for any additional details.... Many thanks - our hard working KC team look forward to seeing you at our shows! Nadia Radcliffe Show Secretary
  19. VERY HAPPY to receive more entries for the championship show......I will be at Durack at the Terrier ring tomorrow if you are going. Also we would love entries for the Open Show....I am asking all exhibitors who haven't entered the open show but are doing the champ to think about putting in just one extra entry as our Trainee Judges would be very, very appreciative of your effort and the chance to examine more dogs. Too often people comment on new champ show judges' lack of experience, but then don't give them the entries as Open Show judges. Sometimes I know it isn't convenient to do the Open Show, but if you can, please support our Qld Trainees!! Entries will be open for at least another week! Thanks
  20. HI ALL DOLers, Just wanted to tell you that YES YES YES entries are STILL OPEN for Caboolture Kennel Club!!!. Entries by post have at least another week, maybe a little more, so please if you haven't got yours in, or you weren't sure about entering, get filling out those forms. I will be accepting entries this weekend at the Durack shows, so feel free to come and see me at the Terrier ring. We have spoken to the groundsman and the grounds are going to be great, and there are plenty of toilets and showers for camping, so that is a bonus. Remember we have a great panel of judges with all judges on Saturday and most on Sunday judging in their specialist group! Any enquiries just let me know. Thanks Nadia Radcliffe Show Secretary
  21. Hi All, Just wanted to let everyone know that now there IS CAMPING at the Caboolture Showgrounds for the double header shows on the 20 & 21st November. Many people have asked if they can camp on the Friday night after the Sunshine Coast Show and the answer is YES! Camping on the Friday night is to be at the northern end of the main arena, with camping for the Saturday night wherever you have set up for the shows on the main oval. If you have sent camping payment with your entries you will have it refunded on the day as all payments will go to the showgrounds directly, with I expect Mark, the caretaker looking after that. There are of-course full shower and toilet facilities at the showgrounds also. Hope this clarifies things for people. At this stage entry will be via Beerburrum Rd on Saturday through I think gate 2; with Sunday entry only through gate 3 as the markets will be on, but I will provide you with more details on that, so stay posted. Many of you will receive a refund also as it is one catalogue for the two champs and open show. We have not received many entries for the open show, so I would ask all of you to please really consider entering the open show as our trainee judges do need the numbers, and many of them have not judged in the group they have been given before. The open show is cash and sash too, so the more entries the more prize money. Please keep the entries rolling in as we are looking forward to a great 2 days of showing! :D Many thanks, Nadia Radcliffe Show Secretary
  22. Just wanted to also add to the info that we have Junior Handlers each day, and that we always have cash prizes for this. On both days and in each age group for Junior Handlers' prize money is: 1st - $15.00 2nd - $10.00 3rd - $5.00 With sashes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd also. Remember we have moved to the main arena at the Caboolture Show-grounds, entry via Beerburrum Rd. Please tell everyone of the change of venue and to get the entries in. We are all hoping for big numbers!!!! If anyone has any questions feel free to either PM me Nadia Radcliffe Show Secretary Caboolture Kennel Club
  23. Entries are still being taken for the show, so make sure you enter. We have a great judging panel with overseas, interstate and local judges. Most groups have group specialist judges on both days. Please remember the change of venue to Caboolture showgrounds and please pass onto anyone that you know who has entered or is going to enter. Jason Attridge A/President Caboolture Kennel Club
  24. The grounds were top dressed prior to the last show for a function they were having and as for the rain, who knows. The grounds should be in very good condition. Jason Attridge A/Presdient Caboolture KC
  25. Unfortunately there has been a hiccup with the website and it is NOT up and running yet. The Caboolture Kennel Club do apologise to anyone for this inconvenience and we hope to have it rectified soon. Thanks for that. Does anyone know where we can camp for the caboolture show? PM me if you like I really wanted to do the Sunshine coast one on the friday and the two at Caboolture on sat and sun, but it's two hours from my place. Bit far to be driving back and forwards. As stated above you are allowed too If " YOU CHOOSE" to "STAY OVERNIGHT "with your equipment on the grounds for the next show, you are more than welcome, there are toilets and showers available. This was a club decision after advice from the Caboolture Council. Jason Attridge A/ President Caboolture Kennel Club
