A few of my puppy buyers have set up online photo albums (picaso album & photo bucket) & given me the direct link...so in that way they can upload photos into it & I am able to check into it at my leisure & see the latest photos of their puppy.I am also friends on facebook with several of my puppy buyers too. You could possibly set up something like this, or if you feel comfortable having them as a friend on facebook, you could correspond with them that way aswell. In that way it will save you the hassle of emailing them all the time. I agree with others I would not allow them to visit again...as it is obviously upsetting the dog. I do feel for these people as I could only imagine how awful it would be to have to give up a dog ...but they made the descision to do it , & its your dog now, & they have to just learn to let go. I would maybe let them see the dog in about 6 months time in a park or something just to reassure them that the dog is happy & healthy to enable them to move on... then after that I would no longer let them have any more visits.

Stack maybe you should list all the things you want in a dog & a list of things you don't want in a dog & then Dolers can suggest breeds that would suit you. Then in that way you will have a short list of possible breeds & make choosing a little bit easier for you.

My Australian Terriers Are Plump
Baileys mum replied to Mr Tiddles's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Hi Vicky&Vigor, it's so nice to see another Aussie terrier owner on the board Please feel free to visit the Aussie terrier thread in the breed subforums, unfortunately there is only a couple of us in it, so it would lovely to have another Aussie owner to talk to...would love to hear all about your Aussie & see pics too. :D I hope your dogs enjoyed the roo meat Peter. -
Yep the same thing happens to my male Aussie Bailey...his nose goes brown in winter & goes back to black in Summer.

Would You Feed "out Of Date" Meat To Your Dogs?
Baileys mum replied to a topic in General Dog Discussion
Yep giving it raw to them should be fine...I give my dogs meaty bones, & sometimes they will bury them in the garden & then dig them up days later & eat them. They have never got sick by this. -
Thank you so much for all that info Wayne It's still quite a long time off...but if this does go ahead I will definately be in contact with you for assistance in booking flights ect... :D

Thanks Oakway Of course I would be telling her that we would have to wait to see if we get a suitable puppy in the litter... as she is after show/breeding potential puppy & not a pet.

Hi everyone, I'm just after a little advice & reassurance....I am in contact with a lovely lady on facebook from Norway who breeds/exhibits her Aussie terriers. We have had many chats on facebook & looking at her photos she has beautiful dogs that look very well cared for & they all seem to do well in the show ring. She seems to have taken a liking to my dogs & puppies & this morning I received an email from her asking if I would sell her a bitch puppy from my next litter (which won't be till the first half of 2013, if all goes to plan ) I am actually quite flattered that she wants to import one of my puppies, but at the same time for a newbie breeder like myself it is also a little daunting sending a puppy so far away (I was a nervous wreck just sending one of my puppies to Cairns with my last litter, never mind Norway ) So I was just wondering from all the lovely Dol breeders if any of you have sent a puppy so far, & if it all went well? Also what is the mimimum age for a puppy to fly international? & what about quarrantine laws for Norway? Thanks everyone any advice & personal experiences will be appreciated, I don't want to give this lady an answer until I've thought it over properly. Nicole

So are mine & always will be. Like the Borders, I'm sure we will all cope! Yep we've coped for this long, so I'm sure we'll survive What's funny though is I absolutely love Aussie Shepherds, & if I do decide to get a larger breed one day it will probably be one...so then I'll really will be confused with the nick names.

Where's the like button when I need it Austerra ? I totally agree with you.

My breed gets the name "Aussie" for short, which just happens to be what Australian Shepherd owners call their breed too...so it can get a little confusing some times.

They are a little heavier than 5kg's...but I really reakon an Aussie terrier would suit.

Which Online Pet Supply Store Do You Use
Baileys mum replied to moonbaby's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I've always used www.vetnpetdirect.com.au for all my dogs medical supplies. I've always been happy with their service -
The birthday cake toys are great, I bought 8 of them recently for my Jasper's 1st birthday & the rest of his brothers & sisters from my 1st litter. They love them, but I had to eventually take it of Jasper for a while as I got sick of hearing the "happy birthday" tune. Yes I can see how it would become annoying. Maybe it will be one of those toys that comes out for a week a year Yep I've now packed Jasper's away till his next birthday as I didn't want him to wreck it. Some of my puppy owners have also told me they have done the same. Here is Bella...one of my babies from my first litter with her birthday cake toy. :D Here is Rex another one of my Aussie babies with his.

So sorry for your loss RIP Cindy...run free

Do Breeders Like To Hear From Their Sold Puppies?
Baileys mum replied to a topic in General Dog Discussion
Yep I do something similar...I have a special page on my website for my puppy owners photos. :D -
Our dogs on their birthday will get some new toys wrapped up (they get excited unwrapping it :D ) I don't make a cake...but I will buy a sponge cake with cream, & each of our dogs will get a tiny piece, & the OH & I will have the rest with coffee ...of course there is candles & we sing "Happy Birthday" & the dogs share a cooked chicken for dinner.

Do Breeders Like To Hear From Their Sold Puppies?
Baileys mum replied to a topic in General Dog Discussion
I'm another one that loves to keep in contact with my puppy owners ....& i make sure I tell my puppy people this when they pick the puppy up. To me there is nothing as satisfying as getting a lovely update & photos of a happy puppy in it's new home & knowing that a puppy that I bred is giving a family so much joy & love. I love all my babies & miss them & still care about them all...I probably sound crazy, but I even sent every puppy from my 1st litter some birthday presents for their first birthday. I even have several of my puppy owners on my friends list on facebook so I can have regular contact with them...& one of my babies from my 1st litter is coming back for a 3 week holiday in a months time, while his owners go overseas...which I am very excited about. :D So sorry to hear that your breeder doesn't feel the same way....maybe they have just been very busy & hasn't checked her emails for a while. By the way your puppy is beautiful.
