They do grow like weeds, don't they? She is so clever for turning on the tv. Miss Squish said that she is learning lots of cool tricks. That's great! I look forward to seeing photos. she is a cutie.

Hi. My 14 week old pup is a little over 9 kg, but the only Advantage it says is for puppies is the one for up to 4 kg. The person at the store I got it from said that I could maybe use one and part of another, but I don't know how safe that would be. Is that what other people do or does anyone know if the other sizes are okay for puppies? Couldn't find anything on their website. Thanks.

Can i ask why? Too much at once?

I don't understand why you keep saying that it would be such a shame to desex a girl. Just because you buy from a registered breeder doesn't mean that you have to breed. Many people buy dogs from registered breeders and have them desexed. Why doesn't your fiance want to desex Simba?

Congratulations on your new pup

 Was that for the Pedi Paws?? I saw them at pet stores in the US for only $20. I was tempted to get one, but am glad i didn't if they are so bad. Are the dremels actually made for doing dog nails or is it a hardware tool?

Under 200 kb have fun!!........and breathe!! I must have read wrong. That makes more sense. Thanks!

ahhh I thought posting of photos had to be under 40kb? I'll look at the program. Thanks
-
Sorry if this is a really basic thing...but I am having trouble making my photos under 40 kb without making them very small - much smaller than other people's seem to be. I usually use Microsoft Office Picture Manager and compress them for web pages, but that still only reduces them to 60kb. Compressing for emails is too small. I have tried changing the width size to 350 pixels, but that was still 50kb. Tried using Photoshop Essentials, but that just made it too small. Though I probably wasn't doing it right! any guidance would be appreciated.

That looks like a really nice set up

Nikon D40x and Adobe Photohop Elements 5

Other threads have said that RAW is better if you want to alter photos in Photoshop. do you have to do anything to be able to view the RAW image in Photoshop? I am trying to open them in Photoshop Essentials (which could be the problem?) but it doesn't recognise the format. My camera manual claims I need Nikon software to be able to view RAW images which seems kinda strange if other people are altering them in Photoshop.

Thanks everyone. I thought it was ok, but just wanted to make sure. Good to see that mine isn't the only one with this problem too!

I give my dog plenty of water when i am not home, but he doesn't really drink much and I suspect it's because he is drinking out of a small fish pond instead. I know it is not the cleanest option but just wondered if people thought it could be harmful or if it is ok.

Yes, but if it is too hard to get the treats out then he just gives up. He also demolished it. I have been freezing food in kongs, but it doesn't last very long. Someone posted an idea about freezing stock into a block for dogs to amuse themselves licking it all day. I thought that was a great idea so i've been doing that, also smearing peanut butter or vegemite on the outside and putting some carrot or treats in it. Instead of licking it though he just bites big chunks off it to get to the good stuff or to just make a big enough hole so he can carry it into the yard and put it in the sun to melt

Thanks for the replies. I am only giving them to him to keep him entertained when we are not home as he gets everything he needs from his food. I have tried chicken wings before, but they don't last very long and he doesn't seem to really chew them.

I have recently started giving my dog marrow bones. I usually have to take them away before he has finished with them because he breaks bits off and I am afraid he will choke on them. Someone told me yesterday that their dog breaks parts off, crunches them up and eats them. I just wanted to know if this is normal and am I just overeacting?

Hi. My pup has a cedar dog house which he has been chewing on during the day. Does anyone have any suggestions as to something I could put on it to repel him? I have tried bitter lime, but that didnt really seem to work. I think I read that some people use tabasco as a deterrant, but didnt know if that is safe. I think I would have to paint it on the house and dont really want something that will repel him from going in the house. He has toys and kongs to keep him occupied, but it must not work for very long. Suggestions would be appreciated

Thanks for the replies. I thought I may have been worrying about nothing. I have been giving him some ice blocks and got him some bones today which will hopefully make him happier...or at least less mouthy.

Hi! I've noticed the past couple of days my pup has made noises like he is chewing on something hard, but when i've looked there is definately nothing there or anything stuck to his teeth. Today he was doing it and started pawing at his mouth as well and a molar fell out. I don't know if he is chewing on his teeth or grinding them. he is five months old so i assume he is teething, but I just wanted to know if all this is normal or if I should be concerned.

Thanks for the replies. I do try and distract him because he is usually being a bit boistrous at the same time. Guess I'll just have to be patient.
