Its more like selling roses that just looks like marijuana You are missing the point. These dogs should not be persecuted just based on their looks. It's absurd and there is no reason for it. It is not helping anyone at all

how would they sue them? on what grounds?

That's not the issue. Someone should be able to adopt an Amstaff or x breed from the pound without having to worry about what is going to happen to it. You can get a lab x or Shar Pei x and it can fit the standard the officers are using to determine if a dog is a restricted breed - so it is not just bull breeds. It's all well and good to be saying people shouldn't be breeding these dogs, but unless laws are passed to prevent BYBs that is going to keep happening. Pebbles, unless i have read wrong - i think if it fits the standard - no matter what you have registered it as - it can still be seized

Kurri Kurri does not have a pound anymore. The person who used to do the threads isn't a member of the forum anymore, but is posting them on Facebook.

DO you mean feisty as aggressive or just eager to play?

I thought the lack of examples was strange too and not many testimonials. It is a good deal- 70pages hardcover for $35. But it it also a present so don't want to wait on it and find out it is crap. Thanks, might be safer to just stick with what I know.

Has anyone made photo books through Photobooks R Us. They have a good deal through Cudos at the moment but don't know if they are any good

Male/Female combinations work best and from what I have read any breed with females can have problems. That said, lots of people make it work. I have a friend with three female Airedales and one male and she doesn't have any aggression issues. Airedales seem to have a bad reputation for being dominating and aggressive, but I have not noticed this at all in my experience. I have a male and he doesn't dominate other animals in the house. I think it comes down to the individuals. It may be worthwhile speaking to the breeder about your concerns. She may be able to suggest a suitable pup.

Wow...seriously amazing stuff. Love the nudibranches and the eel with the shrimp. Those crabs are pretty cute too and the urchin and the turtles..and..and... I can't believe you get so close to the sea snakes though

I did read the whole story, very closely. Like I said it is not K9Angels fault that the kitten was shot but Cookie should have had veterinary care since day one. Cookie would have been in a lot of pain and that is what makes me feel sick. If an animal can not use their back legs there is something going on and they should not have been sent away from medical care undiagnosed and certainly with no pain management. If you had read the whole story then you'd know it sounded like malnutrition as there seemed to be improvement and the kitten didn't seem to be in pain. Obviously the vet is the one at fault here for not being more interested. K9 Angel has done a lot of great work and would be feeling bad enough without all these thoughtless posts laying the boot in.

Court Order To Destroy A Dog & Restricted Dog Breed Declaration
Cat replied to Pookie's topic in General Dog Discussion
How horrible I wondered if this would happen. Even some pure traditional style Shar pei can resemble crosses or pitties if you don't know any better. Does your dog have a purple tongue? I think Amanda of Shar pei rescue inc. has had a lot of Shar peixstaffies. I was going to suggest maybe seeing if her vet would certify your dog but I guess that is no use if it has changed as APBT Club says. What a horrible law. Hope you are able to get some help soon. -

me too! sounds like quite a cheeky little pei! -
Surely that's just a throwaway line? I think that's pretty cute from new parents 'Hey why dont you have one so our kids can be besties'. If they were serious, that's a different matter. nope, they were definitely serious..that and "she needs a cousin" to which I reply that she already has four, how many does she need?

Whilst I can't fault your logic, I can assure you that after you actually have them, all selfishness quickly disappears! not for everyone. a couple told me I should have a kid so theirs would have someone to go to school with. sounds pretty selfish to me.

Have you ever tried to shop with a 2-3 yr old?? Its the worst thing ever and if I have to give my son something to eat to shut him up in the supermarket ,I will. I am after all paying for it!! Seriously some people ought to mind there own business. I'm sure all the child haters would prefer my toddler to be happily munching on something than screaming the place down. Sheeze, you just can't win. AND don't ask me to bring food from home as the supermarket workers think you may have stolen it . AND don't ask me to feed my child before or after I shop, they are not machines that are programed to eat when you want them too, as much as I would love that!. I would of course prefer not to have a hungry kid with me at all when I shop ( just to keep you happy) but thats impossible. SORRY !!! Geez no need to blow a gasket. If you had been following the thread you would have noticed that Liz is not a child hater and has some of her own. Perhaps she can explain how she manages it. I think the bigger problem is the people who don't pay for things they eat. When OH worked at Woolies they used to have to throw out a lot of yoghurt because kids used to come along and break the lids on them.

Puppy Farms Under Fire In New Policy
Cat replied to DMA's topic in Dog Rescue (General Rescue Discussion)
This confuses me as well. Are they going to ask every time an animal is surrendered if it came from a pet store and if so it is ok? I don't see how they are going to manage that if they don't have enough room now? eta...obviously not going to work for animals that are picked up and not claimed.
