  1. My previous dog April took a great dislike to our friend who was an instructor at an obedience club I used to take her to, & his son who was a mate of our oldest son. She would follow the father's every move at the obedience club & heaven forbid if he was doing vetting. When the son came to visit she would again watch him like a hawk & if he went into son's bedroom she would follow him almost nipping at his heels. Neither one did anything to her that I'm aware. None of our present dogs have the same reactions to them.
  2. This would be my pick, not that I've used them but my obedience club recommend them to members.
  3. Congratulations to Shandy. I was wanting to go watch but didn't make it. Was there many entries?
  4. I will send the feedback form in but as I'm not a breeder I want to change the "further comments". Does anyone have any ideas on what can be included?
  5. Probably 25 years ago now we were travelling behind my cousins to their farm. They were towing a trailer with a cow & Curly Coated Retriever in it. We stopped for lunch in a country town when a grandmother & her grandson stopped to have a look at them. Grandmother said to grandson, that's a cow & that's a sheep pointing to the dog.
  6. This one, I haven't used them personally but many members at my obedience club use & recommend them. And they pick up the dog from your home.
  7. Thanks for that Swayd. I only found out from a friend yesterday at the agility.
  8. What a gorgeous puppy nephew you have, & a big boy at that. Just gotta love those border puppies. :)
  9. Thanks smisch, would be nice to see the dandi dinmont win.
  10. I don't know westiemum, my 1st border collie used to get FAD but it looked like circular to oval crusty sores like hot spots I guess. She got them for years each spring summer season until I discovered Advantage & she never got them again.
  11. Any word yet on best in show at the Sydney Royal?
  12. That was hilarious, had me laughing out loud. Reminds me of my kitchen floor one morning when Tilba was young.
  13. My 1st thought from the photo showing the tan edging on his ears was silky terrier. What a journey he's had, no wonder he feels needy. He's a little cutie & I'm sure you will find him a wonderful forever home, he certainly deserves it after all he's been through.
  14. He looks very swish in his new hair cut. April 4th would have been my April's 20th birthday. A good day to have a birthday.
  15. April did it all her life. Made pick-up a pain but, it was just her.
  16. Are you getting another Samoyed? No, going in a very different direction this time. Much smaller and less . . . arctic. I'm getting a Havanese :D Congratulations Bjelkier, I researched Havanese before getting Tilba. Lovely looking little dogs. I would prefer a black too. :)
  17. Exciting times YvonneM. What breed of puppy are you getting?
  18. That's great news, it's such a worry when they go missing.
  19. She's gorgeous, I think I love the tris the best. My border collie's mother's name is Myia too, slightly different spelling but pronounced the same.
  20. I did a Rally-O workshop a few years ago & the instructor said that it was good for older dogs to do after their obedience/agility careers were too much for them. But I certainly call Finn old. There's also dog dancing which involves learning lots of fun new tricks/moves. This video is from Crufts the other night. There are a couple of 11 y/o old dogs competing. It is at a high standard but is such fun learning.
  21. I watched the Crufts Freestyle today, some brilliant routines with lots of new moves.
