Dog Peeing In Bed
madredeperros replied to madredeperros's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
He just realized something today that he is also going to change. When Dali brings the ball back his say "Good Girl" which almost sounds like he's saying "Good Earl" who is the other dog. So now he says "Good Dali" so that she knows he means her. Might be nothing but at least she has stopped peeing in his bed for now -
Dog Peeing In Bed

I think it's very true since only Dal's & ACD's are born white. I'm not sure what would have brought that on otherwise but it could have been something else I suppose. From what I've read too, it was because of the Dal's that ACD's went from merles to the ticking colour & then the Kelpie blood added the tan points. It's all interesting -

Dog Peeing In Bed

Thank you all for your input & no I'm not being sarcastic. It was appreciated. She has checked out clear for any urine infections & for the past three days has not pee'd inappropriately. Bill followed everyone's advice including mine & she is back to her normal self. He now takes her out once a day on her own & also works on his leadership status just to make sure. Earl is back to the #3 spot in the household now that his foot has healed too. Again thank you all, I love DOL -
Dog Peeing In Bed
madredeperros replied to madredeperros's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Thank you She only seems to do it when Earl is getting attention or to be more specific, when his foot is getting attention :D Which is why this makes me think it's a jealousy issue but I think you're right about the anxiety. She could be getting anxious when she sees Earl getting more "attention" than her which makes her get jealous. I am just waiting to hear how the vet appointment went but I don't know when he'll be home or if he's remembered to charge his cell phone. Which is his only phone of course -
Dog Peeing In Bed

I should also add that I've seen it in my own dogs once in awhile if they think they're being ignored & for me, I've made sure that they don't think the pack order has changed amongst them & things settle down to normal. It especially happens when I have a litter & they think I'm spending too much time with the momma to be & then the momma after whelping. Of course they don't dare pee near me, just by the puppy room door Thank you so far for all the advice so far though! I'm going to pass everything along to him -

She was 8 months & would have been done earlier at 7 months but she came into heat the week of the scheduled surgery. Typical -

Oh sorry I should have added more Too many words to put down Bill is the boss, no if's, and's or butt's. They will respond to him when he just looks at them a certain way. He is still the boss. She just started this when Earl was injured so I'm thinking it's attention getting. I have also suggested taking her to the vet to rule out a urine infection but it's strange that it came on after Earl was injured. Also he will only allow them on the bed at night to cuddle with. Otherwise their place is the floor cushions & at a command, they will both go to their crates. If he is checking Earl's paw to see how it's coming along, Dali will jump onto the couch & pee. I will let him know to take her out more often as well as some more training, just the two of them And don't get me started on males who "accidentally" raise their legs in the house -
Another Brag For A 'suthenskys' Kelpie
madredeperros replied to kelpiesrule's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Ooooooo those Suthensky's Kelpies :shakehead: Congratulations Next year, just you wait!!!! -
I thought it would be better to post in here than in General. My puppy owner is having a problem with his 3 yr old de-sexed ACD bitch Dalilu (pronounced Dolly-Lou) who is peeing in his bed, on the couch or anywhere next to him. He also owns her cousin Earl out of a different litter of mine & Earl is also de-sexed & is coming up for 2. These two are the most well-behaved ACD's I have seen (other than my own ) & he adores them but will also discipline them when necessary. They are also exercised 5 times a day Spoilt but not rotten Earl injured his foot about a month ago when Bill, who is 6'4'', stepped on him & of course Bill treated Earl differently for a little while & around the same time, Dali started to pee beside Bill. I have told Bill that I think Dali is just jealous & wants to re-assert her dominance as second in command because she feels slighted that Earl was recieving more attention. Bill doesn't really think he gave Earl more attention but it's a given when one of our pets is hurt to spoil them a little more right? I suggested to him to start taking Dali outside by herself once a day, she & Bill, for some one on one time. Just the two of them. I always do that for my own dogs anyway so that they ALL get a chance once a day to be with just me. This way she will feel like she's the favoured one again especially as she was the only dog for a year before Earl joined the 2 of them. Is there anything else I can tell him to do?

Happy Birthday Cody, tell Loo to make sure she shares her bone with you! What a sweet boy he looks like he was & such a young boy to leave. My thoughts are with you D.C. & a hug for next weekend too

Thank you, thank you & thank you. My heart hurts but I really appreciate all of you! I have updated my thread in Breeders but I will put a short bit in here. I miss Loo so much but I had already decided to keep a daughter of hers out of this litter so now I know I will have a piece of her to continue on. It gives me peace. I think her puppies at the Rainbow Bridge must have needed her more than me so I am happy she is with them. These 3 have accepted the bottle really well & they are now sleeping with full little bellies Luckily by Friday they will be 3 weeks old so they are old enough to start weaning. Also (almost making me cry) big daddy Buulii their sire, whose very name means "whirlwind" tippy toed into their kiddie pool this morning & curled his big body around his 3 tiny babes. I know they will do fine now. Thank you all again, Bonita (CDM)

I had the most horrible thing happen tonight & Loo I'm so sorry I just couldn't run fast enough across the ice. If only you hadn't spotted the stupid cat. You came to me damaged from a show kennel & you were doing so well with your socialization & your fur was back to being a beautiful blue & tan with the white actually white. You were my wiggle butt & I am going to miss those brown eyes of your gazing into mine as you twisted your head to look like an owl. I will miss you wiggling so much you would fall over. I will miss your kangaroo hops as you raced around outside as fast as you could. I will miss watching you try so hard to get Didjiridu to play with you. I will miss seeing you playing with Buulii. Most of all I will miss seeing you play with your puppies when they are old enough to run around the living room. Oh Loo why did you have to chase your buddy tonight. You could have played tomorrow when I could see you in the light. Oh Loo...... RIP my sweet girl. I wish I was there to help you....:D Look for Sisal, Cade & Boomer..they will guide you.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I will tell my big girl Sisal, her brother Cade & Boomer to look out for them & show them around. Please accept this big hug from a fellow ACD lover  Bear & Bonnie

I am so sorry for your loss Kja. I lost my big girl 2 1/2 years ago & I too want her back so much it hurts. I long to feel the texture of her fur, that tongue licking my elbow & those gorgeous eyes looking into mine even though I am surrounded by 5 other much loved dogs & puppies once or twice a year. I catch myself placing my hand on my heart just to feel the tattoo of her (my avatar) & not a day goes by that I think of her at least a hundred times a day. You are definitely not alone & I have found this site to be full of wonderful people just wanting to help. If you ever need an ear or in this case a pair of eyes to share your pain, I am here for you even though we don't know each other. The pain will never quite go away but you have to be strong for your new pup & other resident dog. There are threads pinned in this forum for other grief counselling links if you need them & it does help to talk to someone to let it all out. You might not feel like laughing but we can't help it when we start to remember the funny or sweet things they did. Remember we are all here for you & I'm only a computer screen away if you need to talk!

This one was given to me the day my heart dog Sisal passed on too young. Way too young. THE BROKEN CHAIN We little knew that morning, that God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, In death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone; for part of us went with you, the day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide; and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same; but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again. Author unknown.

I am so sorry for you loss CC He was such a beautiful boy. I have asked my big girl Sisal & her brother Cade to watch for him at the bridge & show him around. Old members or new, we are all there for you! Someone gave me this plaque when I lost my big girl & even though I'm not religious, I still take comfort in it: THE BROKEN CHAIN We little knew that morning, that God was going to call your name. RIP CHOPPA, say hi to Sisal & Cade for me
