  1. How awful, Kanae. Thanks for the update. I hope lessons are learnt from this. It is just so awful to contemplate what poor Elsa endured.
  2. Its been completely still all day here. I just went outside because there I could see the trees moving in a breeze. There is smoke haze everywhere and it smells really strong. I'm not sure where its coming from. We're in Mornington. There aren't any significant fires near us so it could be from any of the hundreds anywhere in the state, i guess. I'm a bit of a worry wort because we were caught in the Ash Wednesday fires many years ago. The smell of smoke gives me the heeby jeebies. Tomorrow is going to be bloody scary. Stay safe everyone.
  3. I saw this story on FB this morning. The fear that poor foal must have felt because it was frozen to the ground is incomprehensible. In the video, the person who donated the sling mentioned the red dog. At that point I might have needed a tissue.
  4. Thats disappointing Not meant to be just now. I'm sure your patience and positivity will pay off for you soon :)
  5. She's gorgeous, kc. What stunning colouring.
  6. Thanks heaps T. It's been a while but I'm just getting back to this now. I've made all the changes you suggested...I didn't even know those options were there So, here's a test...
  7. Oh no. How terribly sad. Such an inspirational guy. Poor Maisie too
  8. What a lot of hooha. And the SIDs risk with that cot bumper Yes. Why are they still used? The video could be used to demonstrate what not to do. A stressed dog and a cot bumper - a disaster waiting to happen
  9. Several years ago, Lort Smith Animal Hospital helped me out in a big way. My dog needed an operation and I just couldn't afford it at the time. From memory, I only paid what I could afford. They were so caring and professional with Jackson. I can't tell you how much their service was appreciated. In the years since, I have been able to donate some money to them along the way so they can continue to offer services to assist animals who otherwise would not be able to receive the vet care they need. Such a deserving organisation
  10. No, the albums are public. The photos can be seen here but they seem to be displaying differently to other peoples photos. Usually on here if the photo is small (thumbnail), you can view a bigger version by clicking on it. If I click on mine, I get taken to the PB site. EG
  11. Thanks Raksha :) I have a PB account and have tried what you said but it still doesn't seem to be working. If you click on a photo I've uploaded, instead of enlarging it, it takes you to the PB site. Maybe that doesn't happen when other people click on it? Oh, and
  12. Yes, I know I've been around for a while but I'll be darned if I can remember how to upload photos from Photobucket OR find one of the dozens of threads which explains how to do it. Can someone please help? I've uploaded some photos but when you click on them, instead of enlarging them, it takes you to the Photobucket site.
  13. A conspicuos abcense, SamMan. Maybe Tris is onto something...
  14. You could try Jana's Creations. She may have something already made. She has a website but its a bit old. Her Facebook page is the best way to find her. Just look up Janas Creations on FB. Have fun! ETA Jana is a DOLer
  15. That's not a magpie, it's a puppy in disguise, surely. Very entertaining, thanks. I loved his somersaults on the clothes line
  16. Souff, this is DOL statement of the year for me. It is something that everyone of us, not just airlock, should be mindful of at all times! And, from memory, pretty much the only statement from Souff this year. DOL needs more Souff posts :)
  17. Oh I hadn't thought of that. (The bolded bits were bolded by me, not HW)
  18. Do they need to be in a run? If they would be OK with a 4ft gate, I may be able to help. ETA I'm a bit slow
  19. How sad that a person can be in such a state of mind that they can't see or acknowledge something so awful Those poor dogs must have been in agony.
  20. Big hugs to you, Jelly. I really don't know what else to say
  21. Oh poor Sherry That has to be incredibly uncomfortable. Hats off to all those who are helping these poor dogs. As an aside, once and obese dog loses weight to a healthy level, can it be expected to live a "normal" life or are there ongoing health implications?
