  1. No, there isn't. I have posted about her on an Australian Lagotto Yahoo group but no responses. I'm in Vic. Not much help
  2. sharynriding, do you know if the lady was able to find a home for her Lagotto?
  3. Well, there you go. I would have thought the were just an around the house kinda dog. How wrong I was! Looks like there were several breeds represented.
  4. Nice photos, thanks for that. I spy a Lagotto What breed are the two long haired white (or cream) dogs with dark ears? Very cute.
  5. As Tansy said, a housesitter may be an option for you. We have had a couple of different sitters come and stay at our home when we go away. Each time we have been very comfortable with the people we have chosen. One family has been back twice for 2 weeks each Jan. They love to have a home as a base, no accommodation costs and dogs to dote on. We will ask them again this Jan. We would only choose someone who would be around a lot of the time and is happy to spend quality time with the dogs. Not that one of them gives two hoots anyway. Cranky old bugger. The dogs get very well looked after and our home isn't left empty for a long period of time. And the big bonus is that it is free for everyone. Can't beat that!
  6. There is no way that gorgeous, angelic, peaceful, cooperative puppy chewed through anything. You must be mistaken
  7. How horrible. Poor little one. They are just so quick sometimes. And determined. Thinking of your family and the pup's family. What a sad time for all.
  8. Those pics send shivers down my spine. Be strong. DOL is with you
  9. Ahhhhhh yes, the flavour saver! Every dog wants one! At least ours is brown
  10. Love your dogs Monah. Great action shots. I just love the looks on their faces.
  11. Just had a look at that site. WOW! And, WOW again. Love it!
  12. In a box. Any box. Loves them. Hanging on the back of the couch is his favourite spot. He has some ripper positions! The kids have nicknamed him "make yourself comfortable"
  13. That's really sad. Treasure your memories with Sam. Horses are so very special. Thoughts with you. And also with you, RosieFT.
  14. We have found some wonderful people on Happy House Sitters. We have had a family stay at our house the last two January's when we've gone away. Works perfectly for all of us. Also, we have found another couple on there who don't live all that far away. They are just happy to have a change of scenery for a couple of days here and there. The dogs have been spoilt rotten and our hose very well looked after. There are usually quite a lot of people on there who will suit your requirements. I think there may be a fee for registration but you don't need to pay the people to come and sit. They do it for a sort of mini holiday.
  15. I have found this to be the main sticking point. The vet essentially agrees that yearly vaccinations are not necessary but can't advocate for it because the manufacturer says the vaccination is required yearly. Hopefully this can be overcome but I don't see that the manufacturers would have any incentive to change their guidelines.
  16. My old boy does it when it's cold and wet because he's just old and lazy. Every time he does it I have a little grumble to myself and clean it up. It's no fun if someone's foot discovers it first :D . Maybe you could try a move to sunny queensland Sorry, not much help, am I. Hopefully someone has a better plan.
  17. Have a look at this post There was another one but I can't find it atm. It is hard to do a search for it because the search engine doesn't like short words like K9. Or maybe I just need a search engine lesson!
  18. Has this been here before? Anyway, it is a gorgeous video and well worth a look. ETA would help if I put the link in!!!
  19. Good luck with her eyes. It sounds like it may be something that will clear soon. Apart from her gooey eyes, how is she doing? Any pics?
  20. I was going to say Wagsalot too. I got mine from her. Great service. If she hasn't got any atm, you could try Paw Behaviour.
  21. Jed, you always have such a way with words...and emoticons too. So nice to see you back and smurfing along. You and your family are in our thoughts. Onward and upward
  22. What great team work. Very serious stuff
  23. No shedding of hair from our Lagotto. Just the occasional little brown ball around the place. Certainly makes a welcome change to the wirehaired JRT x. Bloody hair everywhere. EVERYWHERE!
