Gosh that's a bit of a mess. I hope they work it out ASAP. The random doggie looks quite pleased with its new bed :) -

How Cute Are These?
Tintin Jac replied to tdierikx's topic in Dog Rescue (General Rescue Discussion)
They're looking so happy and healthy. How is mum doing? And how on earth do you drag yourself away from them to do your regular stuff??? -
You're just being silly, aren't you?

Gorgeous pups. That sounds like a great service you offer. Without it, no doubt mum and pups would have had to be separated unnecessarily. And the owners of the mum wil no doubt be very grateful for the opportunity to learn from you. Do you ask them for a contribution? -
Tintin is loose in the house and has access to yard (if he can be bothered!) via the dog door. I'm sure he sleeps most of the time if he's home. He doesn't have access to our bedroom because Lola is locked in there when we go out. Dog help us if she had free run of the house She can be a very naughty pussy cat!

That's great. My OH said he would have chopped the poor things head off Hopefully he now thinks it would be a better idea to give you a call. Do you reckon that poor lady will be freaking out now that she knows so many snakes are living next door? She didn't seem comortable with the whole thing at all. OT Is it true that if you have blue tongue lizards you are unlikely to have snakes (native ones)? OH's family has a farm on MP and we've never seen a snake. But there are quite a few blues and there used to be a huge (like over a meter) gecko type creature.

Yay! If only he could talk. You must all be so relieved. Somehow I think that Alvin's antics are going to become DOL folklore. "remember that cheeky little pug who frightened the bejjezus out of everyone by disappearing...only to pee on the furniture upon his return? "
-
I hope Alvin has crawled out of his hidey hole by now. We just went away for a couple of weeks and had people staying at our house. I got a call from someone saying they had found Tintin wandering the streets. He was safe and well yet I was still beside myself with what ifs. I can only imagine how stressed you must be. These cheeky dogs know how to give their familes and house sitters a mighty good scare! Hoping for some good news this morning.

Very sad. Thinking of you and Gillie.

Wow! What a special friend. That must have made your heart melt. I hope Brennan feels better. Edited because my phone made some interesting words.

We finally had to say goodbye to you on Sunday 2nd October. You packed so much more into your life than anyone could have thought possible. Somehow you survived numerous crazy stunts and managed to allow old age to take you in the end. How the hell you did that, we will never understand. You know that you meant the world to me. Thank you little super dog.

Anyone Know What Kind Of Dog This Is?

Our LR happens to be the cutest dog ever! -
I'm sorry you have lost your beautiful boy. Goats certainly have a way of getting to your heart with their cheeky antics and their love of company. I'm sure you have some wonderful memories of Jake.

I'm hooked. I've only seen the last couple of minutes but it seems really interesting. Thanks

OT... Wow! How did you find her breeder? Our boys are Jackson and Tintin. I named Jackson after a nutty dog I had as a kid who I adored. It wasn't until I had named him that I realised that just about every other JRT is Jackson. D'oh! Tintin is named after the boy in the French cartoon, not the movie with the GSD. We have a vintage Orangina poster with Tintin and Snowy on it. Our son decided our new pup should be called Tintin. We now have quite a collection of Tintin things - dvd's, cartoons etc.

Luke, that sounds really awful. I'm pleased to hear that you are improving. Take care.

Thinking of you. I imagine that being pregnant would add another dimension to this too. The added hormonal goings on and the thought of bringing a life into the world while having to say goodbye to another. What a heart wrenching time for you.

DOL has some truly amazing members OT - westimum, are you able to tell me what has helped Mac? Our very old JRTx is really struggling with dementia. He also has arthritis and other issues for which the medication seems to be helping. He was on Hills BD for the dementia which seemed to be very effective but he went right off it. I tried mixing all sorts of tasty things in with it but he just wouldn't touch it. I've asked the vet if there is any supplement I can add to his food or another food which would be beneficial but they weren't able to help. We are going nuts with his all night adventures - barking at nothing, walking into walls, walking in circles etc. As well as being a PITA, it is also really sad to see him like that.
