I had Toby offically mearsured at the first trial we were competeing in, I had unoffically mearsured him first but I asked the trial secratery if I could still enter and she said enter and just get him measured at the trial. I didnt get mhy height card till a few months later but I was still able to compete without it.

Can a non VCA member steward at a trial? I was always told that they couldnt but im not to sure.

What about pig trotters that you get from the supermarket? I've been giving these to Toby, I cant give him bones because he gets very aggersive.

I would really like to get back into trialing hopefully next year ( only need one more pass in novice ) but the one thing that has really held us back is the healing, Toby is really board and uninterested and quckily loses focus and starts lagging, I made the mistake by going to classes where they did the same old boreing thing. What I would really like is for Toby to be glued to my side and focusing on me and above else enjoying it. How can I get this? Is it possiable or am I asking to much of him?

Just go for the experience, treat it as a training session, talk to the judge and some trailers. If you can go to a few trials it will hopefully make you and Beson feel more relaxed about trial situations. Best of luck and remember to have fun

1. Golden Retriever 2. Puppy 3. Postive then later clicker 4.First trained to retrieve. My problem was Toby just didnt want to pick the dumbell up in the middle, he was retrieveing and everything but would not pick it up in the middle, so we got some help from a very nice Doler and also starting using the clicker and all of a sudden he was picking up the dumbell in the middel.

About 10 mins east of Bairnsdale Oops sorry for some reason I thought it was in ACT Bairnsdale is about 40 mins away from Sale.

I dont know where Nicholson is but it takes I think around 6 hours from here to ACT. Cant really say what time it would finish. Yes 4 times over the weekend but you dont have to do all of them if you dont want to.
