  2. Thanks for the replys, I just got the book and have just started reading it. I think this is what my boy might need.
  3. Has anyone done the Ruff Love program? What did you think of it and did it work?
  4. Where did you get your copies? Dogwise for the book, I saw the DVD on an Australian site Game On Dogs I think it was. Thanks
  5. I know this has been done before but I havent been able to find what im looking for. Im hoping to get CJ ready for CCD next year and im training her on my own so need a bit more help with our training. I've seen Ivan Balabanov's dvds posted around the place but is there anyone else I should check out?
  6. Just curious as to what others feed there dogs Toby gets for brekfast and dinner half cup of dry food ( Super Coat Lite and Mature ) as well as some kangaroo mince and grated carrot. 2 nights a week instead of dry and mince he will get a kangaroo tail and a lamb rib rack.
  7. I thought I would post this here as im guessing its diet related but latley i've noticed on our walks Toby will try to eat other dogs poos, he wont eat his own so does that mean he's trying to get somthing that he's missing from his diet from other dogs poos?
  8. Luke I saw one of your runs, Barkly looked so cute.
  9. I also had the other trailers telling me dont move, I was still in my teens and very new to trialing and I found that whole situation really daunting especailly having other trialers glearing at me if I dared move
  10. This is my horror story about the stays. This was a few years ago when I was competeing in novice with my boy. During the sit stays a german shepherd that was next to Toby got up and stood over him but the judge did nothing so I guess Toby had had enough and barked at the shepherd. He then left the ring but the judge told me to stay where I was Thankfully I heard some freinds who were outside the ring call him. I had to wait till the stays were finished till I could go and get him
  11. I see lots of dogs I just dont normally see alot of the uncomon purebreds I like I did today. This was the first time i've ever seen an Irish Terrier :D This was a differnt Toller but I know who your talking about.
  12. As I was driving out of my street I saw someone walking a Toller, as I was driving around Lake Guthridge I saw a Weimaraner, when I was walking around the lake with my boy I saw a couple having launch with there Border Terrier, as I was leaveing the lake I saw an Irish Terrier, then I was driving past a petrol station a Chinese Crested ;)
  13. We should start writng to channel 10 about this idoit
  14. 3 or 4 years ago it was $1200. Dont know what it would be know. A retired adult would go for the price of desexing.
  15. While I was working there 3 puppies from a litter of 5 were sent overseas to become service and assintent dogs. They all passed with flying colours. We cant tell people what dog they should and shouldnt get but educate them about good breeders and what makes them good breeders.
  16. Like i've said eailer I used to work for the founders, my job was to help look after the dogs and puppies. I can tell you that everyone of those dogs had beautifull temperements. They were so easy to handle for anything that you needed to do with them. This is my take on wheather or not they will get reconised. I used to follow the breeders that I knew were doing the right thing but stopped because I was disapointed with how things were going. The truth is that there are so many arguments over who is doing it right or not that none of the breeders really support each other. One of the founders has stopped breeding them all together and now there are only 2 breeders who I would recommend otherwise you would have to look overseas. Unless they can get there act together there isnt really much of a chance getting them reconginsed as a breed.
  17. Hehe, the Wheatens they used could be causing their problems! Lots of breeds have type issues, go to a dog show and look at the GSDs, and that is just (presumably) the ones bred with conformation in mind. There was one Wheaten used that was throwing puppies with undershot jaws. She was only bred from once and then returned to her breeder. How do you know? I used to work for one of the founders.

  19. As the title says does anyone know where I can get a crate cover? Thanks
  20. Aidan you have been pretty spot on there. The founders have tried to change the name and set up many organstions to help set up a standard and protect the dogs but there was always someone who wanted to do things there way and so back to square one. I dont know about the others but the founders used 4 different breeds for different purposes at different times to help create a breed type.
  21. I started with CJ and was so impressed at how fast she would pick up on what to do, really should get back into it with her Didnt do it with Toby as he goes in his crate with no problems.
