  1. We are looking after a freinds dog for them for a few days. He's a young staffy x who likes to chew things so we made him some toys for him. I saw that he was chewing something that he shouldnt be so I started going to out to get it off him, well the housemate beat me to it and I still cant believe this but he gave a fare smack to this dogs head What right does he have hitting a dog let alone one that isnt even yours but no im wrong you have to hit dogs to teach them The dog wasnt even chewing anything when the housemate hit him but the poor dog ran off from him dont blame him. I now feel like I have to protect this poor dog from my stupid housemates
  2. I just had a look in the breeders section and some of comments would put alot of people off from going through a breeder. I have never gotten a puppy from a breeder and now I worry that when the time comes ill be rejected becasue I said something wrong.
  3. Think I am with you there whitka - next 2 for me - but not for a while yet I just to have to convince the bf. He says where going to be a one dog household, think im going to have to change that ;)

  6. Just a randome question but which was the first breed to be registered by the ankc? I tried looking on the website and unless I was looking in the wrong area I couldnt find anything.
  7. Just thought I would share this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LPd2J3HFJxM&feature=feedlik
  8. Yeah I do get what your saying, if I was going to pay that much for a pure breed I would be going to a good breeder.
  9. I could be wrong but isnt that a normal price for a frenchie from a breeder?
  10. Sounds like a beardie could be a good match for my friends Boxer She lives on a property just outside of town so the barking wouldnt be to much of an issue but the dog would be inside alot, it would also get alot of free running. Grooming doesnt seem to be to much of an issue, she's always wanted a longer haired dog. I'll pass this on to her.
  11. One of my freinds has become very keen on Bearded Collies so I told her I would help her with researching the breed. Things she would like to know are what is there temperement like, what are they like with other dogs and animals, how trainable are they, what are there exercise needs like, how much grooming do they need, what are they like in the house and do they shed much? Thanks
  12. They all such stunning dogs That really is an awesome picture.
  13. It is a good feeling as I would love to try agility with him one day Its funny we also have a golden retreiver and a border collie and Noah has more toy drive then both of them
  14. For months we have been saying that our little fluff ball Noah is untrainable, well today I decided to grab the clicker and some cat food ( he loves cat food ) and see what happens. It was actaully a good little traning session he just to seemed to get it. There is hope for him yet I've already orederd a training book so I cant wait for it get here.
  15. So as not to hijack another thread I thought I would start a new one. I would love to hear from owners or anyone who has experince with this breed. What there temperament is like ect. Thanks
  16. I was there on Saturday drooling over the group 6 dogs, some stunning dogs
  17. I bought a bag last week from a local place and they had a few bags there.
  18. I didnt know that, we only named her that because we had watched Babe that morning we got her
  19. RS no Fly is a Border Collie, decided we would go over to the dark side She's supposed to be my brother's dog but I might have to steal her she is so goregous. Vickie is your girl a Border Collie? I have been trying to keep everything as normal as possible for Toby, he doesnt like dogs or puppies jumping all ove him and he has told her off a couple of times. Noah my little fluffy is in love with her.
  20. As the title says I think my old boy is a bit off by the new puppy. Toby seems less tolerant of the puppy then he has been with our other dogs. He also seems to be acting out more then normal, he's just become so naughty lately. What can I do to keep him happy with the new puppy. Toby is nearly 8 years, Noah is 6 months and Fly ( the new puppy ) 9 weeks if this helps.
  21. Is there anywhere in East Gippsland that sells it or can it get delivered down here?
