  4. We were thinking of seeing it on the weekend with my sister and her boyfriend but I don't think I can handle watching if it has a sad ending. Could you please pm me and let me know about the ending.
  5. What size are they please? I want to make sure that I cut my computer generated ones to the correct size
  6. What size are the official show entry forms for South Australia? Thanks
  7. Have just cancelled my Puppy Peaks membership and got a full refund. I enjoyed the free webinars but wasnt getting enough value from the paid content. Will use my refunded money to by some more Michael Ellis DVDs as his training methods suit us better.
  8. Yes we are going Logged in at 3pm and got seats in the second row!
  9. We might enter the last trial too. Was going to wait until next season but might give it a go this year depending on how we go it the next couple of weeks.
  10. Snap Ness I am glad I am working today or else I would be stewarding at today's trial and getting very wet and cold
  11. Hi Kobi's Daisy We are in Adelaide too. We have just started learning tracking this year. The SA Tracking Dog Club have training on Saturday mornings somewhere in the northern suburbs and at Blackwood in the southern suburbs during the week (Thursday mornings I think but don't quote me on that). Email the club and they can let you know details of where they meet for training and can also put you in contact with a tracking trainer near your area that you can organise to meet with. Website Email eta ignore me about which days, Ness is probably right
  12. What do you think of Puppy Peaks so far? I am not yet totally wowed but will give it another week or two.
  13. The reason for recommending a behaviourist was because in your first post you had made no mention that you had consulted any professionals. A good dog behaviourist will be able to discuss what type of head collar is best for that dog.
  14. Just out of interest how is your dog getting on now ? do you still need the prong collar ? We now use a martingale.
  15. Yep Kynan stunk at that exact age too when he was teething. He smelt sweet again at 6 months once his last baby tooth had come out.
  16. Mark Singer will recommend the best collar to use for that individual dog and will show you how to use it correctly and safely as will Steve Courtney from K9 Pro. Steve is based in Sydney but does do some consults via correspondance with phone and email. eta dont be put off by the e-collars that are currently being advertised on K9pros homepage. Steve is a very kind and humane trainer and was even whispering in my boys ear and gently touching him in specific places to help calm him around other dogs
  17. Did the vet recommend a head collar? Is the dog lunging suddenly when it is reacting?
  18. Hi Kaffy, Here is a link to the ANKC Obedience Trial Rules. We dont compete in obedience so hopefully someone else with obedience experience can help you out with some more tips.
  19. Hi charley, I would recommend contacting Mark Singer for a consult. He is a very well respected Dog Behaviour Specialist in Adelaide and will be able to properly assess the dog and recommend an appropriate tool to use in addition to a behaviour modification program. If the dog is lunging when reacting a head restraint can do serious damage to the dogs neck.
  20. Bought myself an early birthday present and signed up for Puppy Peaks If I am not completely wowed after 3 weeks I will take up Susan's money back guarantee.
  21. Just finished watching the video. Looks like they had major problems in the earlier session trying to do it live so it was prerecorded for the second session. I didn't really learn anything new and it just seemed like one big advertisement for Puppy Peaks. Is anyone going to sign up for Puppy Peaks? It is $199 canadian.
  22. Has anyone else signed up for the free 90min Susan Garrett Webinar that will be on tomorrow? I am looking forward to it Link eta It is being held Thu 2.30pm and 8.30pm New York Time which means that the 8.30pm one is on Fri at 10am SA time or 10.30am eastern states.
  23. Kynan's breeder uses and recommends the Aldgate Veterinary Clinic Link. I went there once for a middle of the night emergency with Kynan when he was a baby puppy and Dr Nadia was great
  24. Wow, well done! Congratulations!
