dogs can only travel using a company One would presume you now all about there dogs.lines, health testing & what there lines produce regularly & you have told them what you are hoping to achieve by selecting there kennel & above all what you are after & why you think there dogs best suit . Importing is a risk just like buying locally ,no guarantee it will turn out so it becomes an more expensive deal. Our first import we where sent a total lemon way to big so couldn't be shown . I guess the main thing to ask yourself is can i only buy what i want from NZ or can i get it in Australia & if i can buy Australia what does this kennel have to offer that is better . Importing is a risk & can be an expensive one ,if you don't trust the person at the other end then think twice if you do trust them & its only a pup then the risks apply if you breed it yourself to run on

A good groomer will use blades sizes according to the coat that part shouldn't be rocket science to a decent groomer & in all honestly unless matted a groomer should be explaining these options to you not the other way around . I would suggest the groomers who think its weird are the fly by nights that groom the one method fits all Grooming part many groomers do especially in winter we often its just feet, bum & face no big deal . Many elderly dogs thin out so when you groom you blend into what you have & it isn't any more hard work ,you may simply tip the ends if required but a good groomer grooms to whats infront of them

Welsh are more laid back , Both breeds will need grooming & of course trained to be groomed ,depending on where you want to walk the coats will collect stuff . Of the 3 Spaniels mentioned the Field i think is easier to be around & yes i see all 3 most weekends & show Springers ,Springers are also great dogs but its comes down to how big you want . If you like something different maybe look at the Swedish Valhunds -

What Price Would You Deem Reasonable For
Dogsfevr replied to OSoSwift's topic in General Dog Discussion
We use to do it cheaper then came the reality that that one day still requires the same work ,bed changed & cleaning, even if there for the day they still get human time like all the others. We don't do it during school holidays though . Any day care dogs are allocated a kennel to ensure there safety & also to cover the weather mwe don't take day care dogs & leave them outside in the runs only ,we treat the day care dogs like the boarders with the same comfort & care for he day -
Diet plays a massive part

Dog Health Problems/conditions Research
Dogsfevr replied to winniethepoodle's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
The other issue is some of those issues are owner created so ticking a box won't give you a true answer as to why its occured .Understanding health isn't as simple as tick -
I would also take into account that training to also not be dependent on you is just as important. Your dog will be with you 24/7 & reliant on you for all activities ,some dogs will them happily accept you have left for a few hrs others will have a total melt down . Be careful what you wish for in a "velcro" dog ,this can come with giant pitfalls in a living style such as yours & then require even more effort to retrain & be an enjoyable pet The Cavie i owned certainly didn't sleep all day they are a sporting spaniel & shouldn't be lazy, they are bright & like to use the brain ,they can snore up a storm & shed coat like crazy

Making A Hole In A Bottle Teat - Help Needed
Dogsfevr replied to BittyMooPeeb's topic in Breeders Community
Never had any issues ,we use Premmie bottles & nipples but never had issues with any & nevere had to put a hole in -
Is it doable without a fence yard yes BUT it will be a life time commitment to fill its needs every single day of the year no matter what . The dog will become a big priority due to not having a yard to go into so you will need to decide on toilet training & happiness to sit around until your ready to take it out ,the varying weather conditions through the year that will still means dog must get out & about no matter what . I read your situation & think Cat would be better

I wouldn't be allowing my dogs to eat horse manure especially if i didn't now the horses & when they where wormed last . There have been cases of dogs becoming very ill due to eating horse poo from horses wormed due to the high levels of ivermetican .

So the breeder didn't test the litter themselves?? All swabs we have had done must be done by a vet & chip details listed & signed & the same has applied in other breeds friends own who have had them tested We still do the yearly eye checks though
-
I now of vet practices that said they have put down dogs per owners request & then it be found out the staff have then gone behind the owners back & rehomed & yes some of these dogs had issues the vet staff felt wasn't true in there view & in one case ended badly for the person who took on the dog & the clinic taken to task for lieing to the person about there dog being PTS & for asking for it to be done for all the right reasons .How was this found out microchip number as when the issue occured it was still registered to the owner who wanted the dog PTS ,the owner had a bill paying for that service If a vet doesn't wish to do it then they should refuse BUT never ever lie to & then rehome just because they think they now better , I will add we never leave any dog to be PTS without being there have also known vet nurses to try and save pups that have long term health issues & rehome ,have had vet nurses give lectures about PTS a pup that in there view deserves a chance yet had a terminal heart condition that would survive if lucky to 9 months & struggle . I will add we had a vet nurse give us the "we are cruel owners lecture " for PTS an 8 week old pup that was diagnosed with a terminal heart condition we always stay if anything we own needs to be PTS because the stories of vet staff not following through is more common than people think

It isn't about whether your dog is friendly its about the fact the dog park isn't about your dog & what you expect from it. Every person has the right to use it & not have to worry about other peoples dogs. I think the issue here is you have set idea's of what you think should happen in the park which i don't agree with & a reason why i don't use these places. I have no issues with this guy using the park he has every right too ,the issue is from your post is this Surely when you enter a fenced in off-lead park like this you would expect some robust play ? This is so not true but the problem is most people see it as a free for all playground for there dogs to go crazy for 30 mins run up to dogs & the owners always yell "its friendly: whilst there to far away to have control or even now what the other dog is like plus as mentioned the fact that some of these dogs wipe out the other owners whilst they play & create havoc Dave -o this dog isn't under control if it was it wouldn't run over to other dogs to try & play BUT many owners allow this & it becomes an intimidating confrontation with the owner to far away to have control ie place lead on straightaway . I would never be so naive to think your dog couldn't react ,dogs are just like humans & not all get along you are lucky & have a friendly young dog BUT that doesn't mean things can't happen in a flash or a moment

Great live stream & you can rewatch it

Yes i wash my Setters in Coconut oil every so often but Not the before a show unless on the monday as it can take some time to get out. Leave for 30 mins ,coat will loo like a candle stick & wash out luke warm water you can leave some in with no issues, Makes the coat soft & shiny which may not be what you want though. Has she been in season yet ??

Is It Safe To Keep A Gsd (big Dog) In With Little Ones?
Dogsfevr replied to a topic in General Dog Discussion
We have big & small but it all about common sense & training & that doesn't just mean the big dog ,the little dogs also need to now the rules . Most of our big/small are left together BUT some when out we separate because its the right thing to do This was my GSD , As for them attacking any dog big or small can problem is when people want to own dogs that aren't trained to live together ,most little dogs are the annoying ones but get away with it because "there small" size doesn't matter if your little dogs don't interact with big dogs often then it can be a massive life changing experience for them & one they will either accept or hate My big dogs are taught to lay down for any small dog BUT i also appreciate there near 40 kg & no matter how gentle they are 40kg v 10 kg is a massive difference & one wrong move & yes things can go wrong so as such we are set up for all sizes to enjoy life & have there own space but we are on an acre . -
Firstly you should discuss this with the breeder of your pup after all they now there puppies best & many guarantee there pups on the diet they suggest because it works Changing the diet straight away is not fair on the pup unless the diet is so bad & i would presume you selected the breeder because you like how there dogs look through all the ages & there health etc etc. Changing to quickly can results in the pup having upset tummies & the stress during this crucial stage of settling into a new home & with a new dog to adjust to can already unsettle there tummies . Your breeder should have given you or will do a diet sheet that the pup is use to ,stick with that until the pup has settled if you want to change add a bit slowly

How Do You Deal With Growling?
Dogsfevr replied to Pretty Miss Emma's topic in General Dog Discussion
I don't think its that simple many people have no clue what an educational telling off is & there dogs being narky. Many have no idea how to read the scenario of a dog growling to it escalating & some dogs that are rewarded for growling the first time get away with it again & again because people say "its okay". Dogs being dogs isn't that simple either ,some breeds that attitude would end badly & often does because people say "there dogs let them sort it out " Many adult dogs have never been exposed to young dogs & managing that intro is more than just turfing them out & saying they will sort it out ,that is plan irresponsible & can end in teaching the young dog bad habits . We have dogs here that are great educators & the pups get to interact with BUT these dogs are what i consider soothing, calming & encourage an interaction that is equal pair. I have other dogs that whilst fully accepting of new pups need there time out there growling wouldn't be educational . This isn't a simple topic & not one that should make any person frustrated each dog should be assessed & all aspects considered regarding all the dogs interest .Breeds can play a massive part & i would hate someone to tell people just let them sort it out without understanding some breeds .
