Ourbreedcan be prone to them ,our vet has always done he surgery and home that day ,I wouldn't dream of leaving my dog overnight for this simple procedure but it's your choice

Your dog will love grooming without given the options. But the sooner you set the rules the safer the process is & the quicker you learn to be able to do all tasks on the table. As a groomer we groom alot of dogs that are groomed on the floor at first & take time & patience to retrain into table manners especially young pups that start to play on the rules as they get older . I would consider grooming the face a day after a wash if it goes back being tighter that way you are grooming to what it will look like not blown out & trimmed on a coat that isn't the ultimate finish . Many breeds will be washed,blown out & spritzed to air dry to allow the natural look to return & trimmed to that finish as the final look can be very different . I have groomed for a long time & its wa y easier to set the boundaries young whilst there small & manageable,your dog won't be big but the power & will come with age so its far easier to do things when little. Remember the table doesn't have to be just about grooming. All mine are taught from puppies the table is cuddle time,touch time,health check time & just the fun aspect of wanting to get in on it.

Labs are shown in good numbers at all shows in Perth. All shows between now and April are night shows ,so don't start before 6 pm. Dont give your pup options ,you need to set the rules of grooming now ,pup goes on the table and that is where all brushing and grooming is done . The floor is neutral territory . Allowing pup to move away is rewarding that behaviour not conditioning to staying still and being safe plus your making the job way harder and longer. It should take no more than 2 hrs to groom and bath .. With a round face it's all about scissoring although it looks like a different coat texture in those photos which will happen with a crossbreed coat . But in photo one more of the top has been left on with a visor look ,photo two the visor is trimmed off making a flat head and yes a longer beard but that is where the change of coat will need to be adapted to what will work ,. All our showdogs are groomed with a mirror for help ,looking in the mirror to see the lines is a must and using a table being more at face level is a must

Give cranberry tablets . Our old vet always made the comment vets didn't put the dogs on meds long enough for UTI & that as they just started to clear the course had finished & would often not be fully knocked off . Yes some meds suit certain areas better

Okay first off the pen wont have a negative impact on her & the breeder will have used a pen to contain the puppies so your pup will be very use to being confined in some way . The difference now is pup is on its own ,has no idea who you are & what is expected off it . Puppies will follow you around so just go with the flow ,ignore & go about things . Keep in mind when pup comes home it becomes reliant on the humans to do everything so its important to teach independence as soon as possible. Does pup get to play outside & explore on its own ?? Does pup have access to a doggy door or open door or will it rely on you to let it out for toilet,play & time out to explore the outside world ? You say at night it will be upstairs with you so what do you expect of this at this time ??Keeping in mind whilst upstairs in that way its being taught to be with you & again requires you to take it out . Many dogs don't like kongs,chews etc etc & Spitz breeds are very unique & the Jap Spitz is a thriving companion animal that loves its humans hence teaching it to amuse itself & be able access things on its own is important . I would suggest just take a step back ,its very early days .Some will act like pork chops but unless your dog came from a pet shop or puppy farm it will be used to puppy pens & set areas ,just stick with what needs to happen ,Let puppy follow you around but don't make a big deal,let it find its feet but have toys around ,change them each day if possible so theres variety ,start your lead training now as many breeders do put puppies on the lead before they go . During the day is the radio or TV on or is it just silence. All our pups are use to TV on when in the pen for noise training .Put a snuggly teddy in the it can cuddle up to like a fellow puppy

This isn't a breed thing just a simple fact that not all dogs cope with autistic children . You need to manage this better and accept they most likely won't be friends or trusted together . We have homed pups with autistic children but selection of the pup was very important . I agree crate train but the crate needs to be in a safe area where she is safe from child ,she is giving you good warning signs to do something

I would suggest sticking to the important stuff for research and leaving the diet questions to the breeder and keep in mind many breeders will feed different things. What's best is what suits your dog . Learning about the breed,training,health issues ,bloat and the cons of owning the breed should be a priority. You can confuse yourself bigtime by trying to learn to much about things that your breeder will assist you with or aren't relivant to the breed. The internet can be full of wrong info Talk to breeders ,listen carefully and discuss the pros n cons and why you think this is a breed you should own

They should head down to a dog show where they can meet the Dallies being shown.one of the breeders you have listed hasn't as far as im aware breed a litter but has dogs from other breeders over east . Don't be afraid to look at breeders east or even talk with them,there are some great ones who would be very upfront & honest about there suitability & some goods ones have kids There not for everyone ,they shed something terrible & can be a velcro type of dog .

Yep as far as im aware paperwork can only be lodged after the dog has landed & given the christmas period is very close i would say you have buckleys in getting the paperwork through but i suggest you contact your state body for the actual process you need to do anyway

I totally get what the person is saying ,as a breeder you can sell a well socialised happy puppy but what the owner does with will mould it into the final package . Yes some temps can be genetic and always important to factor

Any dog can do damage ,I don't see it as an issue .Many large breeds are very lazy and a lot depends on the owners . If your going to judge breeds then I think you need to just say no to dogs because bigger does not mean more damage

As long as your prepared to have the dogs separate whilst your at work until safe to leave together then its workable.

I would be asking for the deposit back as they have changed there mind on the deal,given you only posted on the 3 Nov about getting a pup they wouldn't have had your deposit for long . Seriously don't feel guilty for the puppy,you are buying a long term investment & this is not a good start . Sadly people feel guilty about the pup & buy & then they breed another litter & do the same thing . Given there desire to get rid of them asap ,i gather there will be no support regarding puppies issues or long term help about your chosen pup.

Personally i would ditch this person,they are not a breeder just a person who had a litter & doesn't care. What happens is not your problem ,they have obviously decided the pups have hit the age that they require work & just want to offload them

Personally i would not give anything unless its a dire case,just go about her normal day,don't change anything unless you plan to stick with . Also consider your own perceived emotion whilst she is sad don't over think it .She sounds like she is coping very well

If your plan is to have your dog toilet outside as an adult then set it up for success now ,you will have to dedicate a lot of time to the pup at this crucial age so you need to p,an for that. I would not over use the crate ,it's not what there designed for. A puppy pen will be more use but again not for over use You need to set your puppies routine now for success,Cavoodles can be very needy so teaching it independence is very important. If you over use the pen your teaching your puppy to be very human reliant and needy,you say the doggy door isn't an option so you will need to train your pup to a method that you want now for the long term,if outside then pup needs to learn to head to the door to be let out,if you want it to use an indoor loo then start early BUT it's far easier to train your puppy to the future than always be retraining especially as your toddler will become more demanding and the pup as well . The right balance for your pup is very important for it to enjoy your toddler,hopefully the person your getting it from will carefully select the right pup for you or ideally get to meet the pup before it comes home to see how it mixes with your youngster

I believe its not a hot topic because people see the word "puppy farms" going & support it. Very few joe public understand its more than just that & that pet owners should consider themselves are target . We all agree changes should be made in areas but this is so arse about without any thought . Lets face it the vets have one of the highest suicide rates as a profession. One can only imagine the mental health status of such people if they are forced to put down healthy much loved pets . This also affects owners who may be forced to PTS pets .

I think people need to also keep in mind in the plan is massive changes to how an obedience club can be run & how they have to apply . Breed rescues,many of the clubs who do wonderful work in the rescue aspect will have to turn away dogs as it will put them over there limit especially entire animals.It will affect rescues who have whelping bitches etc etc Many rescues use dog breeders kennels to help there cause & they will no longer be able to help . Its not just about breeding dogs . Those who feed raw it seems will also have laws regarding no offal etc etc .Its more than just breeding & thats what people should realize & the importance of every animal owner supporting because otherwise who knows what is next.

It's a Isi you take owning a dog,some insurance have limitations on breeds and then it comes down to making sure your yard is dog proof,easy to not have your dog hit by a car,safe yard and a leash .

I am going to be the opposite and say over feeding is very easy to do & not all pups eat equal . We measure our litters food based on there condition & what there getting from mum. Its very easy for some pups to be pigs & over eat & some end up being pushed out . We will place into groups based on needs . Over feeding will results in lots of poos which isn't ideal & you can very easily raise fat puppies which isn't good . At that age we would feed 4 times a day & meals changed based on growth changes * body condition .Your present quantities are not enough . We at that age feed dry,meal,fish etc etc Maybe have a chat with the breeder of your bitch or the stud dog owner on there methods .
