Pumpkin is great but hopefully the stress wont affect her ability to concieve

Crate train or bring inside & go speak to your neighbours to see if the dog is barking during the day

I have 2 for the setters.I brought mine years ago from the old dog shop at Melb showgrounds but they dont exist anymore. I think the UK would be your best source. The acvie people have them which do front halves only. I would bother about fading & using it .The coats whilst good arent great for over use on long coats. They will matt the coat

Vaccinate,or Not To Vaccinate Yearly.
Dogsfevr replied to nicestman77's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I will also point out that kennels have to abide by Govt law in the animal husbandry act. So for changes it has to be done from govt level -
"It may in everyone's best interests if this puppy is rehomed. (runs off to don flame suit)" Dont run i think that is the best solution & too & personally i would be doing it whilst the family are away/ It isnt about the training or the pup being a pup is about a family where all members couldnt deal with the golden & certainly arent willing to deal with a GSD pup. Kids who are scared arent going to come around or even be involved in the crucial aspects of what this pup needs.A wife who isnt interested again will not play any part in the crucial needs of a dog. A dog is for the whole family & i can see things getting worse not better

Yes its a killer & is created by a poor diet or build up off an unhealthy food source. Some breeds are also pre disposed to it. Most dogs fall prey to this after BBQ when everyone gives them the scrasp or lets them like the drip tray. With the right diet is is very easy to manage

One thing dont leave the food done too long ,many people do & createt grazers & they are your worst nightmare

"we didnt hear her again until 330am when she cried hysterically for 1-2 hours. we ignored her and she put herself back to sleep" Make sure though you dont mistake her cries to toilet out of her bed.Not every pup will use those pads
-
I Agree crate next to bed. Tough luv with alot of common sense. Make sure all is done on your terms not the pups. Having said that in 24 years of dogs never had howling pups. I would be inclined to not allow to much sleep at present prior to your bed time. Often the pup is placed into a dark room,no noise,no other bodies & panic sets in,We prefer to allow more privelages whilst settling & then work towards the desired slepping pattern & its always worked this way

cnr warton & Ranfords roads Southern River. Prices are very competitive & snazzy colours. If you have a dead stocking just chop each end & you have a snood. There very easy to make aswell.

Dogsfevr replied to Norskgra's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I think of all the option hot towel is the best.I have over the years tried those dry shampoos with no luck at all.Powders just build up & then you need to wash it out anyway -

If i run out of time they dont go to a show. For me its bath is the only option -
Are you sure its a problem?? & not something you arent truly sure off. Different breeds certainly have different growing faces & over supplementing can be just as dangerous. If your breeder is a good one then they would now there lines as to the way they grow. Just be careful

Interesting Info Learnt On Titre Testing
Dogsfevr replied to ~Anne~'s topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
"and then they have the issue of Boarding kennels" Pardon??? When clients dogs come down with canine cough they head to the vet.The first thing vets & clients do is blame the kennels so why shouldnt kennel owners do all to protect themselves as legally as possible. Vets have no issues written up reports for clients if there dogs come down with something & then asking kennels/clubs for compo. Many kennnels owners WOULD like to change BUT if the whole chain doesnt kennels arent going to risk themselves BECAUSE a clients vet has told them . If you want to place blame then start with the vets not those stuck in the middle of a sueing society -
I have a dog that was spasming & was very sore.I also added magnesium tablets during this time which releived the problem greatly

Good chiro or Bowen.HD could be a consideration -
Actually you will find the greater majority of people refer to them as King charles cavailier why i have no idea why except that many refer to the original roots of the " king charles spaniel"
-
What did the breeder feed, have you talked too them, did the pup not eat from day 1 or more recently. What is your feeding routine?? Is the pup badly underweight. Cavies can be notorious fussy eaters BUT you dont pander to them
-
All mine still hoover there food .With her its her poos.We know straight away & watch from there. Normally we just give a mild feed or there own as it isnt potent anyway.
-
My old american cocker has had colitis for all her life. She gets attacks every so often but lives a very normal life. If its a mild attack we dont change anything. If a stronger attack she goes on tribacterial. We also feed her apples & have found this to work a treat for her. We also give her Flora max tablets during her attacks to help to help her gut which again a great (chemist) I have owned other dogs who have had one off cases .some boarders have had attacks especially around major storms etc etc

Lump On Top Of Neck A Week After Vaccination
Dogsfevr replied to DogsLover's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
"Yes this is a Vaccine reaction, and it should be reported ........" I wouldnt consider this a reaction but a case of either the dog moving or the injection point being poor. massage & keep an eye on it as occasionally they need draining. I have had 1 dog get this who is a needle phobic & moved which is why he ended up with the lump -
Im not sure how old your kids are but maybe make up a chart with jobs they can do. ie making it sit, feed the dog, brush the dog ,joining you for activities, playing nicely, teaching to catch. When they have successfully completed a task you can buy a stamp(smiley face etc) & stamp a job done. maybe make it more fun for them to be involved & more responsible.Maybe if you can get the kids to achieve your hubby may feel the desire to be a better role model on there success.

The main key is exercise should combine body conditioning & mental stimulation. When there running wild there not learning respect, manners or etiquette. There learning that being wild is the accept behaviour preferred. Going on individual walks is all about "education & respect".Its a time where your in control. barkbusters are useless & cost money with rarely a good result. Basically get her to do jobs for reward, get her to use her brain. The key is you dont have to go overboard just doing simple things that keep the brain active really achieves so much.
