yep remove the wandering dew or your vet bills will be enormous & the dog will always be in discomfort. Your vet will prescribe little prednil tabs & send you home.(thats for free ) The quicker you get that out of the garden the quicker your dog will stop scratching

This breed is very different to that of a jack Russell & i wouldnt dream of comparing the 2 needs. Companion breed dogs are that for a reason.People select this trait due to wanting a breed to be part of the family . Our breed is breed for companion needs aswell & we wont sell to someone that wants it outside at night because generally it ends up spending so much time outside than inside. As for breed OP has posted topics before

Why are you giving peanut butter?? Sausage what kind?? What treats do you give(schmackos, pigs ears, coloured bones etc etc) Agree that your first phone call should be with the breeder. They now the pup & can discuss any changes you may have made to the diet . Does he scratch at the same spots.all over?? If its just his belly does he rub his belly on the grass??What areas does he lay in & what plants are there. Go investigate your garden & his known areas, make sure your plant smart .

Wash first with green dishwashing detergent. Sunlight soap works well . I personally for hard stains like the animal house whiter but if your stuck bluo works just aswell
-
doe the breeder now the jap spitz will be living outside??

Yes i have used it but be warned it will dry the coat out.The areas i did it on didnt touch the skin. Make sure you have a good shampoo/con to use. Personally though i would be trying other things before heading done this path on a tenties coat. Bi carb & water ,make into a paste

dogs are just like humans .where not natural swiimmers. Just because a breed is a "water retriever" also doesnt mean it can swim. All shapes & sizes,;ack of fitness formany, obesity & the list goes on that makes swimming just as hard for dogs.
-
Yep obedience club controlled & constructive. Socialization is so much more than 2 dogs playing, its about the owners reading situations & being able to deal with. It is important for dogs to learn that another dog doesnt mean play, that play is on your terms & your rules.

Pulling the dead hair out is exactly what your doing with the coat king,Stripping the coat. The coat king if used on the head try backwards On the heads i use a "slick n Easy" stone(most use these on horses) But generally the coat is so dead it falls out, better than thinning it & making it grow back worse each time. Doesnt hurt anymore than normal brushing

Shear Magic Thinning Scissors

I dont use double sided anyway.I only use single sided The double & single work differently so depending on what your wanting you may not get -
what do you do for the top of the head, and ears? Ears are clipped per the breed, head we hand strip with a stone,The only part the thinners would touch there is simply for blending Springer head
-
Will add though there is no need to thin there feathers. The only thinning is blending the throat, bum & feet . yep they exist.Ours get used 5 days a week practically all year & hard work. I have found the Wahl, roseline to be a good budget thinner

Cheap soft crates dont last & if your placing a large breed in then the quality must be there for safety & re sassurance. My large dogs are trained to use there soft crates .I also won one for BIS & when i placed my dog in it & he rolled over he rolled out as the quality was poor. We have replaced the mesh with better quality . I have the ones from the WA canine dog shop. Not cheap but have lasted over 4 years so far

yep we use curash/paw paw basically anything that will give a protection cover & heal. We do chicken & pumpkin here & will aslo give flora max tabs from the chemist to reline the gut with good bactera. We fined the tabs better than the yoghurt as they possess a higher number of good flora

My print this off & show your aunt. She needs to understand that whilst its cute its not helping your pup but reinforcing the behaviour that you reaaly want to not encourage . They often dont see it as an issue as they walk in & then leave but she needs to understand that her actions arent helping the pup at all & it isnt fair on the pup
-
But often this is the key ,small doses is generally enough, most of these classes are an hour. So what you need to do is allow Milo to have fun & i personally would remove him whilst still enjoying & praise. Sit aside & allow him to watch, hear & then if all is great join again.
-
This is very common. The most important thing is to ignore her when re entering, guests come etc etc. Ask all friends to walk straight in & ignore.Dont fuss or over excite Most dog grow out of it if you follow the regime but a small few do it for life & it can become a pain

Shame the OP did not ask these questions before purchasing the pup. I agree with you on that one gareth , I just think you catch more flies with honey and now he is asking if we don't turn him away and he gets some quality information then maybe the pup will get the life it deserves. Unfortunately very few people seem to put in the time or effort to find out about their chosen breed before actually bringing the puppy home! DOL can be a great place to learn and receive many opinions, often quite differing opinions, it is then up to the individual to decide what they are going to use and what they won't. The OP isnt just posting here .The OP has posted in the restricted breeds & other areas.maybe read all those post & you well learn more about the OP

sadly this is a problem with some puppy pre schools. They end up throwing all pups in the deep end & some dogs take longer to adjust than others . I agree with cosmolo talk to the instructor & if they arent willing to make a plan or work with your dog then go elsewhere. Whats is your instructors qualifications??

thinking on a dog run woruld be the better option, athough i would prefer no restrictios at all. Have not thought about an inside dog ever, smell, ripping furiture apart. But it could be a option if the pros outweight the cons Dogs only smell if the owners let them. Furniture issues are training . The pros outweight the cons, what dog wantsto be tie outside or in a run 24/7 without being part of the family. If you want this pittie to be a great dog then you will need to do the training . Otherwise why get a dog if you dont like the smell etc etc??
-
I too owuld hav eremoved both but we remove dew claws off our pups anyway . Do you cut the dew claws, are they long?? I have brought dogs with dew claws wit no issues at all but there well maintained

I agree completely otherwise why are gundogs the most commonly used breed in the assistance/blind field. Although i own the breeds that most uninformed have the most to say.Setters. Most & it has been said by regular DOLERS that setters are stupid but known have ever owned them. Irish excel at obedience, gordons excel in all dog sports.the English i would agree take a bit more time & i think the unfortunate part is some owners may have had adeaf/partially deaf English setter & not realized labelling them stupid. The English i say are stars in the field but less eager to please for long periods. The red/whites are great all rounders. The biggest issue is alot f trainers carry breed snobbery & views .I have been dished it many times they just happened to pick the wrong bunnt to spin there talk. All my setters live with little dogs & interact all the time with any dog ,I have owned gundogs for over 21 yrs from yanks to setters & bever had a hard one to train, its just a case of using the method that works.Being patient & not expecting to much to young. During the growth stages i find the setters are very akward & as such sitting quickly etc etc is just not what there body is ready for & this applies to many large dogs

No ,i part to the skin where i wish to start & then go down in a line.I dont do it in the one spot
-
Okay have re read old post & this is the pitbull pup?? That you where asking about cable tieing to the clothes line or a run?? Have you decided which option you are using??
-
Are you meaning outside dog 24/7 or outside when at work. What breed??
