There is nothing wrong with excelepet & we have via clients found it to work better than many products. Excelept doesnt equate to crap so dont get caught thinking because it costs more it works better. i would also be asking the breeder if the products you have brought are known to have sensitivity issues with the breed You dont need to buy worming tablets from vets that charge a fortune again the excelepet range are fine plus some other brands available at stockfeeds or the likes & remember they are made by drontal & the like whom you are buying the expensive stuff from. Personally on a 14 yr old dog that is doing fine on the current product i wouldnt be changing unless the dog is infested with fleas??I also wouldnt be worrying about heartworm testing at that age. Many people treat there dogs for heartworm but it takes acertain type of mosquito to transmit it & not all areas are predisposed to it. Dogs can react to these products & they should be used with care. We have showdogs & dont use any flea preventive. I do realise many live in tick areas & dont have a choice but here we dont use a product if we dont have a problem,we dont use any chemical unless truly required. We do heartworm monthly

i would be contacting the vet if they are the one who has done the hand over & paperwork.?? If you did the handover & paperwork & then i would be worried We have had 14 cremated with no issues but the people we use in WA are super,we always get them to collect from us & never had an issue .

I think you need to seek help on understanding dogs ,you are going to create bigger issues than there is

yes he is shedding but if he's an outside dog & exposed to the sun alot it will bleach the coat colour

You can use scissors or a comb.Instead of brushing like normal use the end tip to loosen the knot.You cant brush it out in once piece BUT you can work the knot so you are left with the major part which is easy to remove. The action is simple down ward motion with the tip.Find the knot & use ytour fingers to pull/tease apart what you can & then splice with the comb

As a full time groomer mats are no issue & a good groomer will be able to access the knots as to whether they can be brushed out or beyond help. Groomers see the very best to matted messes. In the photos it looks like he has a very fine sparse coat so clipping him would require a 5 or 7 blade which will be additional to what you buy & approx $70 plus

All our bitches are scanned so we can ensure are schedule is worked around the pups.We run a business & onve we now the bitch is in whelp we ensure one of us can run the fort only & ensure our business needs are worked around the pups.

You need to inform the breeder now not what a few more weeks & the spring them with the info,remember the dog world reads forums it is easy to figure out things . If the x rays show up issues when desexed are you going to amputate then or look at different paths?? When will you make the decision on what to do. Personally i would be x raying now & then looking at what the issue is. She could simply need to visit a dog Chiro

I dont believe the breeders encouraged biting & think maybe you have mistaken a form of play & turned into something worse. She is a pup & they use there mouths to experience life,to feel,touch,taste,texture.you cant stop them from doing what is normal but you can train to what is acceptable. The reality is you didnt untrain your pup,most likely you are a quite person which the dog doesnt react to & your brother is more out there & pup has reacted accordingly . Your pup will always need training & at this age you never expect perfection but you dont want to break your pups spirit & take away its personailty,Chis can often be very unsure around strangers & it sounds like you have a happy go lucky pup that enjoys life so far

Have you phoned the breeder about the mites & the probs you had ?? What do you mean by this?? You also have a part to play ,if reading correctly you havent phoned the breeder about any issues yet aired them on a forum?? The breeder hasnt been given a chance to work with you yet your talking about liability . But your getting her desexed at which time the X rays are being done?? Wouldnt one get x rays first & then consider desexing if you where planning to show??

There is no quarantine from aust to the US at present .The dogs/cats need to have passed there blood tests & current vaccs for the US (rabies i still believe) I cant remember what the waiting period is between tests & being able to fly out.(i think 30 days plus age & residency can play a part in what is needed/accepted As for costs depends on the size of the dogs but budget for a few thousand . You will have costs for crates/vet/vaccs/aquis paperwork & transport costs. Call a number of companies & some certainly cost more than others.

So where is he allowed to sleep.does he have abed that is his in the same area??Its fine to ignore but he doesnt get it & needs to be redirected to either his bed or what you consider a happy alternative. Remember you may be frustrated but the pup has no clue what you expect & the more frustrated you get the more confused the pup will be.

Never had a C section in 25 yrs . Only had 1 bitch who had problems to conceive but did so once we realized her cycle was very different. Most of the people we do now who have issues go totally over board

Humping is out here it is unacceptable behaviour which can lead to issues down the track if you dont start to discourage it & not because of the children. Remember what seems funny now isnt when it goes wrong. Also it isnt good for the dog back.Our studs dogs go to chiro.bowen when used at stud to ensure there back isnt put out,it is also a reason why many breeders do AI to minimise the risk of damage. Given that ollie has poppy eyes the eye cleaning can be more to due to other things & again something to discourage

Std schnauzers are extremely smart & most owners of this breed go wrong by under estimating what the breed needs. It needs the whole family to be consistent ,they will learn very quickly the pecking order & will win the battle very quickly over those who dont maintain a fair but firm expectation. The breed thrives on doing a job,they love to please & craze learning.The rare extreme thinkers & will have already thought before you have if you dont have a basic plan for acheiving certain things.They grow quickly & depending on the lines some males will happily take on the battle of challenging early. If this is you first time as a dog owner i would highly suggest seeking a good training school & attending sooner than latter. When people are debating between the minis which we breed & the stds we emphasis to them that there very different & the stds are true working dogs & obedience if a novice owner for the first 12 months is a must to enjoy your std . I have handled the bred for some 15 years. They area wonderful breed BUT not trained correctly can also be your worst nightmare

Consider moving his crate to the family area so he can sit inside for quite time whilst all activities are going on. As already said it is a novelty & he will learn very quickly but they more there exposed the better they are . Not sure what your childrens sleeping routine is but if possible i would make the most of this time to have him side whilst its calm/quiet

What type of nail clippers do they use?? Honestly his reaction is typical of many dogs we groom because there not done often. The right technique & the right nail clippers & you can easily get it done. Have you tried using a file???

Yep beef & GSD can be a bad mix & well known to give them the squirts,infact for many breeds beef is just no good. Any large breed can take time to mature although i would consdier then to be full growm by 1 BUT filling out/developing up to 3 especially there heads. If your dog is healthy then i wouldnt play with the diet unless he is lacking some weight. Some GSD & lines do develop different & look different & it can be like comparing apple to oranges instead of treating each dog as an individual. What did your boys parents look like?? What diet did the breeder suggest ?? Have you ask the breeder there thoughts??

A dog we breed at 11 had a tumour removed from the spleen.it was massive.They where great owners but slow to see the symptons.We groomed the dogs still & kept saying something isnt right . The dog lived another 3 healthy years

smell his feet.Very few vets when treating dogs with ear infections also treat the feet,dog scratches ear & transfers infection to feet & back again. Some dogs also get smelly feet

Dont make a time,your vets are well aware of the situation & if you feel the time has come they will be very accommodating. Some will come to your home at this time. I would suggest deciding what you want to happen . Will you bury or cremate? Which company would you use if that is the path you choice?? Arrange in advance that its a waiting game but you have chosen there services(if this is your option). Its a horrible time waiting & having a girl with bone cancer years ago you truly dont now how long but you do now when its time & as hard as it is you now the right decision is being made . Its horrible news but take every day you have & enjoy it

Where you selling it as pet or showdog?? If it was pet home why wasnt she going spayed in the first place??
