There is no quarantine from aust to the US at present .The dogs/cats need to have passed there blood tests & current vaccs for the US (rabies i still believe) I cant remember what the waiting period is between tests & being able to fly out.(i think 30 days plus age & residency can play a part in what is needed/accepted As for costs depends on the size of the dogs but budget for a few thousand . You will have costs for crates/vet/vaccs/aquis paperwork & transport costs. Call a number of companies & some certainly cost more than others.

So where is he allowed to sleep.does he have abed that is his in the same area??Its fine to ignore but he doesnt get it & needs to be redirected to either his bed or what you consider a happy alternative. Remember you may be frustrated but the pup has no clue what you expect & the more frustrated you get the more confused the pup will be.

Why do you want to clip a cavie??They dont need clipping

Never had a C section in 25 yrs . Only had 1 bitch who had problems to conceive but did so once we realized her cycle was very different. Most of the people we do now who have issues go totally over board

Humping is out here it is unacceptable behaviour which can lead to issues down the track if you dont start to discourage it & not because of the children. Remember what seems funny now isnt when it goes wrong. Also it isnt good for the dog back. Our studs dogs go to chiro.bowen when used at stud to ensure there back isnt put out,it is also a reason why many breeders do AI to minimise the risk of damage. Given that ollie has poppy eyes the eye cleaning can be more to due to other things & again something to discourage

Std schnauzers are extremely smart & most owners of this breed go wrong by under estimating what the breed needs. It needs the whole family to be consistent ,they will learn very quickly the pecking order & will win the battle very quickly over those who dont maintain a fair but firm expectation. The breed thrives on doing a job, they love to please & craze learning. The rare extreme thinkers & will have already thought before you have if you dont have a basic plan for acheiving certain things. They grow quickly & depending on the lines some males will happily take on the battle of challenging early. If this is you first time as a dog owner i would highly suggest seeking a good training school & attending sooner than latter. When people are debating between the minis which we breed & the stds we emphasis to them that there very different & the stds are true working dogs & obedience if a novice owner for the first 12 months is a must to enjoy your std . I have handled the bred for some 15 years. They area wonderful breed BUT not trained correctly can also be your worst nightmare

Consider moving his crate to the family area so he can sit inside for quite time whilst all activities are going on. As already said it is a novelty & he will learn very quickly but they more there exposed the better they are . Not sure what your childrens sleeping routine is but if possible i would make the most of this time to have him side whilst its calm/quiet

What type of nail clippers do they use?? Honestly his reaction is typical of many dogs we groom because there not done often. The right technique & the right nail clippers & you can easily get it done. Have you tried using a file???

Yep beef & GSD can be a bad mix & well known to give them the squirts, infact for many breeds beef is just no good. Any large breed can take time to mature although i would consdier then to be full growm by 1 BUT filling out/developing up to 3 especially there heads. If your dog is healthy then i wouldnt play with the diet unless he is lacking some weight. Some GSD & lines do develop different & look different & it can be like comparing apple to oranges instead of treating each dog as an individual. What did your boys parents look like?? What diet did the breeder suggest ?? Have you ask the breeder there thoughts??

Ruby's Cruciate Surgery Takes Another Turn
Dogsfevr replied to Dog_Horse_Girl's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
A dog we breed at 11 had a tumour removed from the spleen.it was massive. They where great owners but slow to see the symptons. We groomed the dogs still & kept saying something isnt right . The dog lived another 3 healthy years -
How much time does he spend in his splash pool??How wet does he get & what areas??
-
smell his feet.Very few vets when treating dogs with ear infections also treat the feet, dog scratches ear & transfers infection to feet & back again. Some dogs also get smelly feet
-
Dont make a time, your vets are well aware of the situation & if you feel the time has come they will be very accommodating. Some will come to your home at this time. I would suggest deciding what you want to happen . Will you bury or cremate? Which company would you use if that is the path you choice?? Arrange in advance that its a waiting game but you have chosen there services(if this is your option). Its a horrible time waiting & having a girl with bone cancer years ago you truly dont now how long but you do now when its time & as hard as it is you now the right decision is being made . Its horrible news but take every day you have & enjoy it

i now many that do the parvo aspect themselves

Where you selling it as pet or showdog?? If it was pet home why wasnt she going spayed in the first place??

Hey! if you're not a PIAA member (the people that host/run it...) its usually around $950 or so for all the days/events... My mum attended one when held in our state ,especially went due to the stripping aspect .What a total waste of money, time & loss of income for the day. It wasnt true hand stripping but carding & even then carding is alot of bolony. They tried to demo on a dog we breed9not owned by us) that hand been clipped for nearly 9 yrs,the dog didnt have the coat nor texture to have this technique used & they didnt seem to care, Having owned stripped breeds for 25 yrs it was a very disappointing display for wannabe groomers or groomers hoping to learn a new skill. You really need to decide what exactly you want to learn & expect to learn because it also covers how to colour dye etc etc

I hope so.my irish/english are multi BIS winners so would be nice for there new mate to join the trend
-
setters currently english & gordon with a mascot visitor my retired irish
-
Considering the young dog im showing exceeded all my expectations for 09 the only options for him in 2010 is BIS but given his age & breed this could be a hard one but already being a grp/ruig winner under 20 months anything is possible

So the ones of yours who dont maintain contact what do you do?/ In all reality the pet photos you get sent dont tell you anything ,especially if its just fido sitting in the arms of the owner. It doesnt tell you if there mouth is good, eyes are clear,hips/elbows etc etc.I tells you there well loved but not what we are looking for. Everyone would like to keep contact but you cant force owners who have paid for a dog to be at your beak & call & insist they keep in touch ,i want our puppy buyers to feel they can contact us at anytime without being pushy & be there when it counts.
-
No we dont ask or expect any of our buyers to send photos or keep in touch,we certainly encourage the fact we are there for help/after sale care & general info & that is in our puppy folder & the greater majority do phone if they have an issue but as for photos generally the only time is with the spay paperwork. We follow up after they have left but in all reality once the pup has left i dont believe we have any right to demand updates nor annoy people unless some form of arrangement was made or there was something in the sale aspect that would mean both parties would be involved for different purpose. Im gathering as the pup is on mains that it was purchased for a reason & something discussed between both parties Having said that i think there is some part of the situation missing here which could make the whole issue different. I personally cant figure why the breeder is supposedly harrassing for no reason on photos, that seems odd & not normal but you not replying also is just as odd yet coming on here to happily vent & ask

Euk stuff is proganda from PETA dont get fooled. There is testing & testing & if you do a serach you will see that topic on here. I dont feed Euk but this comes up every so often
-
Just pray they eat it LOL Chis are notorious weird eaters so be prepared to having to adjust if need be. Also realise they arent big eaters so watch the quantities in that there not over feed . Having said that what diet where they feed before you got them??Changing too quickly can create tummy issues so be careful to adjust slowly for the dogs sake

What say above obviously isnt enough for this pup & he has got into the trained routine of coming in. Unfortunately OH desire not to be more helpful just makes it harder & more confusing for the pup. Our pups will do many pees & sometimes after one pee you need to do something to break there train off thought & then go back to the toilet command. Also for some pups the attention of toileting inside is reward alone. Some will crave the attention of simply being in trouble so maybe look at what attention pup is getting & whether its being over done/under done or maybe to much expectation which is confusing it or the pup simply hasnt fully figured out the toilet routine. Will the pup have access outside or will your training be reliant on him alerting you to outside?

What issues does she have. Athritis, heart any med issues that make it harder??? All our oldies take longer in the morning to rise, they are normallly active by mid morning because there active till late.Whilst we work from home where up the back & generally arent in the house fully till midday by which time our oldies new that & would be ready for there time till night. Your girl could need some meds our is simply in a routine of your daily schedule
