I dont actively say anything now. A good move, the lest said the better .If that is there opinion i wouldnt be bending over back wards to change them or even give them more fuel to give there opinion especially as its work.. If they did ask i would be inclined to answer " Im sorry i didnt realize you where interested in the activities my dog does" * leave it at that but in all reality saying nothing allows for peace

There are certainly some in Sunbury that allow dogs as friends stay there every year for Melb cup. http://www.vicboxer.com/accommodation.html

never had anyone think like that, you get the people who make comment because the dogs are all fru fru looking but never anything tasteless & like everyone else most are very keen to listen /learn & get an idea even if it isnt there thing & that is fine with me because what one person enjoys another will hate . !!So why tell them what you do Im sorry but if your colleagues dont appreciate what you & your dog does then dont tell them. They have there opinion you have yours & just agree to disagree & keep your achievements private or with those that understand.

Lost Phone Lancefield Tuesday 29th December
Dogsfevr replied to Bilbo Baggins's topic in General Dog Discussion
Have you rung it -
ont worry you would be surprised in how many vets have no clue about breeds
-
That's really going to make introductions quite a mouthful Maybe you will need to take a printed fact sheet out with you. Actually I get the same with my 2 dogs all the time. Gracie, a pretty representative example of a broken coat Jack Russell Terrier, and Maxi, a long legged smooth coat example of the breed. Seems the only ones people recognise is a short legged smooth coat variety. I dont get bothered i just figure they wont own my breed For years our mini schnauzers are scotties. The irish setters are stupid & the list goes on but such is life.

Whilst Germany may have there methods they are also have many breed specific bans or breeds that face hefty insurance requirements or can only live in set regions. According to this law, certain breeds as well as cross breeds among them or with other dogs must not be introduced or imported into Germany. This applies to the breeds * pitbull terrier * American Staffordshire terrier * Staffordshire bull terrier * bull terrier The prohibition of introduction or importation into Germany also affects other breeds suspected of being dangerous according to the laws of the German Land where the dog is permanently kept. Such breeds are listed by the single German Laender and may therefore differ from Land to Land. In statutory orders of the single German Laender, the following breeds are regularly considered dangerous: * alano * American bulldog * bullmastiff * cane corso * dogo Argentino * dogue de Bordeaux * fila Brasiliero * mastiff * mastin Espanol * mastino Napoletano * pittbull bandog * perro de presa Canario * perro de presa Mallorcin * Rhodesian ridgeback * Tosa Inu. Obviously some of these breeds are also banned in Oz but most arent. Rottis also face stringent testing before being allowed to be a pet otherwise facing strict law requirements

Anyone Used Alpha Keri Oil In Dogs Bath?
Dogsfevr replied to 4 Paws's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I have used it on the long coats between baths . I did for years use avon skin so soft BUT the dogs musnt have access to the sun during the peak time as it will burn the coat. Avon has a perfumed smell so i wouldnt use it on a dog with issues. It takes alot of scrubbing to wash it out of the coat . -
Scrape the Hills.yucky stuff

SP sucks, using the laptop for the first time & its different. If the dog free stacks then use that to your advantage. My dogs are all taught to self stack & i just complete the picture. Let the dog walk into a free stack & then use the collor. Some dogs dont like to be touched
-
I would seek help of someone in the noe for stacking BUT my firt port of call would be a doggy chiro or bowen person to ensure his back or the likes arent out which makes him incapable of being stacked as its uncomfy

Has he always been picky? Have you changed his diet at all? how long do you leave the food for?? What snacks/treats does he get??
-
how old? What breed? You should shift this to the show forum How do you lift the front?Do lift from under the belly or place individually? Is the dog correctly structered?

There are a few breeds I've seen in the show ring here that one could say the same about. But then I suppose it's all in the details, I had my gorgeous, wonderful, perfectly pedigreed boy call a "kelpie--crossy-thingo" by someone who should have known better. Its fact that is exactly what they look like when you see them in real life. If you truly had no idea they where a breed they simply look like a combo of many things . There very popular & we saw them at Crufts. The photos dont do them justice because when they walk they look different again.

Only 2 will be shown, him in SA, and his sister in WA. It will be nice to see how she grows although im sure she will be a dog sport queen
-
we board 2 jack russell crosses that could be easily mistaken for them but there not.thats why i say they look like mutts . One of the International Junior Handler finalists at Crufts got this breed as there swap dog & it was a good little hardy thing. The look on the handlers face(a friend) was priceless because like many people he had never seen one & there not reconized in there country. Funnily enough he won the event

babies can not win BOB.Dogs from 6 months an over can win BOB. Babies are only eligible to compete for baby of breed/group/show

2 Females With Male Dog In The One House
Dogsfevr replied to Holeshot staffies's topic in General Dog Discussion
Depends on the reason for getting a third,if it doesnt work out what will be the plan?/ -
This wont stop him .Training him to be a good offleash dog requires time/training & exposure to more interesting things to ensure the dog does focus on your commands. Dogs just dont go & bite unless there is an issue in upbringing or a previous incident. Many dogs hate kiongs, they smell, there heavy & very boring. Not one of my dogs will touch them. he is a baby .the more you over expect the more you will think there is an issue.dont make things completed when there not. yes he's a kelpie cross but that doesnt mean he will be a nutter with high drive latter one.We board alot of kelpie crosses & many a couch potatoe's

many coated breeds use a slicker brush the main difference is the one you buy.As Ellz said Doggyman is a good one. personally i have never really found the mason/pearson to really do anything different for the price tag & yes they make them pap size. There are plenty of options around & a good combo comb will be the firt on the list . Quality of brushes can make adifference but they way there used is the biggest factor

Dogsfevr replied to Fudo's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Eagle pack hollistic is well known to give loose stools.I had to put my young dog on this product for another reason & had to tolerate the loose stools until i could swap to my preferred brand. i also found it didnt maintain a good weight even with other products feed
