Allergy Investigation/treatment Options And Costs
Dogsfevr replied to Mango's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
The wandering jew needs to go asap. What do you feed?? Have you discussed the issues with the breeder?/ Does the dog go for wlaks & what sort of area?? -
Scrape the harness & just get him use to the collar. When we are training our babies(who never have collars) on we head outside & train there as its a fun place & they can venture on there own & follow. We dont do it inside.

Transporting Dogs On Interstate Trucks
Dogsfevr replied to pikespooches's topic in General Dog Discussion
If that sounds the way it reads why would anyone allow a dog to travel that way help or not?? -
We dont use rice ,we use pumpkin . We cook pumpkin & chicken. As already mentioned his system would be gutted so i wouldnt panic at present if he hasnt passed anything but certainly keep an eye on it
-
Also appreciate not every body nows those details except those posted. It isnt the end of the world & im grateful for anything posted . generally once someone has Cat they will post proper names but again thats only if there confident in the correct name .

I dont own theme but have seen them at the shows over the years & are friends with people that do breed & show. The most important thing is not to under estimate the breed ,they need owners who are dedicated to The BRT needs & nature. There is alot of grooming needed. basically the BRT is like a Bouvier

Years ago I had an old shepherd who's arthritis always played up in summer I put it down to him laying on the concrete more to keep cool and he seemed to be more active as well so this probably agrivated his joints even more. Also remember the air con if there inside

What Do You Wish You Knew Before You Got Your Dog?
Dogsfevr replied to GeorgieB's topic in General Dog Discussion
I dont have any,i am happy to say the people we dealt with where very up front & honest & our owne reserach meant no surprises . Although the one thing we stress to our puppy owners ** Your buying a dog not a baby human** & treat it with the respect it deserves -
att Norton & Linda Beer wouldnt happen to be part of that bunch?
-
To be honest I'd rather them not take the puppy at the end of the time if they really didn't want it... Agree

Dogsfevr replied to raffikki's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I use Bowen & have one the top in there field treating my dogs monthly. Bowen has many fly by nights so getting a good one is an art Mine is in WA but often there is a long wait associated with her -

Help Me Read These Ingredient Listings
Dogsfevr replied to nadz's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Nadz talk to your breeder about diet. Not all breeds thrive on certain brands no matter how good the ingredients sound. many breeders guarantee there pups if feed the diet recommended unless there has been a discussion why the change. What diet does your breeder feed?? -
We do pre arrange aswell. We will work in with people even if last minute & the reason is beyond there control & in the pups best interest but if the reason isnt something we consider reasonable then yes we will ask for something. The only time we wont ask is if the dog hasnt been picked & we are running 2 of the same sex on & it works well for us. basically we work case by case
-
I believe you will find that if the pet shop is PIAA registered breeders can sell through them. Not sure of the exact facts but pretty sure there is an avenue & then they negotiate papers after wards
-
I dont actively say anything now. A good move, the lest said the better .If that is there opinion i wouldnt be bending over back wards to change them or even give them more fuel to give there opinion especially as its work.. If they did ask i would be inclined to answer " Im sorry i didnt realize you where interested in the activities my dog does" * leave it at that but in all reality saying nothing allows for peace
-
There are certainly some in Sunbury that allow dogs as friends stay there every year for Melb cup. http://www.vicboxer.com/accommodation.html
-
never had anyone think like that, you get the people who make comment because the dogs are all fru fru looking but never anything tasteless & like everyone else most are very keen to listen /learn & get an idea even if it isnt there thing & that is fine with me because what one person enjoys another will hate . !!So why tell them what you do Im sorry but if your colleagues dont appreciate what you & your dog does then dont tell them. They have there opinion you have yours & just agree to disagree & keep your achievements private or with those that understand.

Lost Phone Lancefield Tuesday 29th December
Dogsfevr replied to Bilbo Baggins's topic in General Dog Discussion
Have you rung it -
ont worry you would be surprised in how many vets have no clue about breeds
-
That's really going to make introductions quite a mouthful Maybe you will need to take a printed fact sheet out with you. Actually I get the same with my 2 dogs all the time. Gracie, a pretty representative example of a broken coat Jack Russell Terrier, and Maxi, a long legged smooth coat example of the breed. Seems the only ones people recognise is a short legged smooth coat variety. I dont get bothered i just figure they wont own my breed For years our mini schnauzers are scotties. The irish setters are stupid & the list goes on but such is life.
