  1. WA has stacks of personalized doggy number plates compared to Victoria. We have our breed & kennel name & i will be applying for my choice for our other float latter on
  2. For the better ,anyone unsure could have lost a valuable animal with the first score
  3. Yes & yes & the score change was enormous .
  4. I would be surprised if the breeder will pay any cost for penn hip when there is no reason for it,The dog isn't showing any signs of lameness or medical reason to have it done. As i said before you need to return this pup & move on.
  5. The first thing to remember is even the breeds suggested as maybe suitable people can still react to. Breeds that may be suitable are Schnauzers Bedlingtons Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers Kerry Blue Terriers Lowchen Portuguese Water Dog Bichon Frise Lagotto Poodles There are a few more that i am sure people will add. All the breeds considered suitable need regular brushing & clipping
  6. In WA Cattle dogs are rarely shown so if the OP goes to shows chances are they won't see any . In our canine journal there are 5 breeders listed Are there any WA who post in that section??You can't expect replies if no WA folk are there after all not every breeder is on DOL Should be no issues in saying the list unless it has a history
  7. That doesn't include airfare. I had small dogs & went to big
  8. I fly yearly & large dogs . 50 kg with crate approx $170 give or take each way
  9. I suggest you return the pup now It seems you have no faith in the breeder ,This pup needs to have a future & the longer you hang on to it the more attached you will become & the pup shouldn't be stuck in the middle whilst you wait a few more weeks to decide whether to keep or not
  10. This applied to Qantas for years was on the AAE site but when they re did it this year it has vanished I am amazed you where never asked if with qantas/AAE,it didn't apply to Virgin unless it has changed
  11. I have had a dog with it. The vet new we would give the best care at home & as they get so depressed with it he agreed that the dog needed every bit of help it could get & was convinced he would die in his sleep & i could fully understand his belief He lived another 4 yrs but did suffer from health issues as a result. I did 24/7 care,he was made to walk every hour & we did gentle chest pats to ensure the phlegm was shifted. We gave our boy noni juice (bloody gross but it helped) . We made sure when he slept he wasn't flat so he had either a u shape pillow or similar. My boy looked like death warm up but we stuck to making him get up even if assisted
  12. All our stud dogs are taught to be handled & are also taught to mate on a table or the floor Just help him when the time comes he isn't broken or lazy . Our dogs are never left on there own to mate & we are always there to ensure things go safely as do all our friends
  13. To give what this owner wants they would also need to follow all the guidelines you believe are crucial in your guarantee working. When our pups go we encourage the owners to get a vet check within the first 48 hrs with there chosen vet & i would say nearly all our buyers do this We supply a diet sheet that we now works very successful within our breed & we have highlighted if they wish to change it or the diet isn't working to contact us. Obviously some puppy buyers chose not to follow our advice, they believe what the vet sells must be "right" & we have read on DOL many a time people suggesting diets with out understanding the special needs some breed needs without understanding the long term consequences that can result. Our dogs are all health tested & the reports are given in the paperwork,we do everything that we can to ensure a healthy pup is sold BUT we emphasis the importance to the new owners that what they do also plays a major factor in a health guarantee Our buyers are told well before committing to the breed & a pup the health issues that are there ,what efforts we have gone to but in some area no amount of testing can tell you the future. We also hand out or suggest web pages for them to read up prior getting pup etc etc.We make sure our pet owners have educated themselves because that is part of the deal. When people collect our pups we go through each page of our puppy book to ensure they have seen & understood what is in there, normally where possible they get the book beforehand so they can ask questions if need be & they have to sign in the contract that they have read the book & fully understand the info listed. Your wording is very important I agree with Jed be careful
  14. The Fauve is from Sweden or Denmark i believe but carries the Soletrader affix at the end of it name I think its Sarah's first one but i would imagine they have a wealth of experience within that variety as they do travel alot . I am sure if they are planning to breed them they will have some cracker dogs
  15. The BOB fauve is from a very well known show kennel in the UK, stunning on the video , http://crufts.fossedata.co.uk/Breed.asp?Sh...;ScheduleID=118 Soletrader is very well known for the PBGV & infact they also own/bred the reserve in show
  16. Tayla didn't make the cut. The winner was Poland
  17. Just watched the full gundog group some nice dogs some awful ones
  18. In our area we have a special waste company that comes & collects . We use the large sulo bins per normal rubbish but the waste is bagged & placed in the bin & they collect it ,Easy peasy. We don't wash it down the drain here
  19. The agility has just started on live stream from crufts
  20. Care to elaborate ??? So all us dog show folk on here are also the same are we ???
  21. We use Risely street vet who has now moved to there new place in Myaree, Ian is an excellent vet used by many of the dog show folk. Another vet used alot is Deepwood in Gosnells. We still keep in contact with applecross but the vets keep changing alot so its hard to keep a "feel" when you have no idea about the vets on. Ian use to work for Applecross . Another good vet is Midland Vet with Ross Staaden . We are happy to travel & drive past 5 vets within 10/15 mins
