Champion Class- Should We Have A Seperate Class?

I wouldn't dream of putting an 8/9 week old cocker in a PP20
-
Personally i would hire a crate & then buy a crate in Perth that will best suit it as an adult. I would think as an adult & comfort wise i would go PP50 size as an adult but it depends if you want to have a solid crate or fold up ?? Fold up will give you options to take it with you easier ,solid is more harder to accommodate.. I saw the PP50 the other day & there a good new size just wish they would invent a crate the was the next size up from the sky 500 but under the giant size

This is key to learning about your dogs coat & this will come with trial & error. I practice on practice days never show days . Hot towel all over can work a treat . Certain sprays can worl well over just make the coat heavy crap looking. I bath my long coats the night before ( i start late as i like them to run all day & generally finish midnight ish) in the morning the coats are tied up or the pee band is put on then sprayed blow dried & look a million bucks, alos lucky i live 5 mins away & we have the yard set up for wet/damp am so it doesn't affect the coat if the weather is good

Grooming Salons In Melbourne - Recommendations?
Dogsfevr replied to a topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Might help if you say what breed, some salons can be better at breed specific or certain features. Good salons can vary from good basics to good breed specific -
[ Most breeds don't have breed clubs & not every state has breed clubs .Breeds clubs will only hand out names of people who are members ,not every breeder joins there breed club so doing your homework is still important. When it comes to being a breeder your dammed if you & dammed if you don't.Where often expected to have the magic hat to pull out puppies, sexes, colour & when each person wants there,s. If you have too many litters your a puppy farm,we don't have enough litters its the breeders fault for not meeting the demand. i know that you, jodie, weren't actually saying that we buyers didn't have busy lives either, but i just want to illustrate that some of us buyers may have time for a puppy but that for a breeder to expect us to go above and beyond, to make it almost a part-time job to prove we are worthy of a pup is pretty elitest IMHO. If i sell a puppy i expect the owners to make time & yes you do have to prove your worthy & i would expect any great breeder to do this. Why would a breeder sell a pup to an unsuitable home?? & then get bagged for selling to whomever with no thought??

Some of the wosrt encouragers of BYB/DD are vets. In our breed we have a massive number of vets breeding for the pet market ,one was very proud to inform all it paid for the kids private school. Last week alone we had 3 vets wanting a breeding bitch . Not one asked about health testing, lines or the likes just wanted a bitch

Contact the Bullmastiff Club & see if they made special arrangements to have the breed judged close to the national date >>

Personalised Number Plates - Doggy Related
Dogsfevr replied to SwaY's topic in General Dog Discussion
WA has stacks of personalized doggy number plates compared to Victoria. We have our breed & kennel name & i will be applying for my choice for our other float latter on -
For the better ,anyone unsure could have lost a valuable animal with the first score
-
Yes & yes & the score change was enormous .

I would be surprised if the breeder will pay any cost for penn hip when there is no reason for it,The dog isn't showing any signs of lameness or medical reason to have it done. As i said before you need to return this pup & move on.
-
The first thing to remember is even the breeds suggested as maybe suitable people can still react to. Breeds that may be suitable are Schnauzers Bedlingtons Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers Kerry Blue Terriers Lowchen Portuguese Water Dog Bichon Frise Lagotto Poodles There are a few more that i am sure people will add. All the breeds considered suitable need regular brushing & clipping

In WA Cattle dogs are rarely shown so if the OP goes to shows chances are they won't see any . In our canine journal there are 5 breeders listed Are there any WA who post in that section??You can't expect replies if no WA folk are there after all not every breeder is on DOL Should be no issues in saying the list unless it has a history

That doesn't include airfare. I had small dogs & went to big
-
I fly yearly & large dogs . 50 kg with crate approx $170 give or take each way
-
I suggest you return the pup now It seems you have no faith in the breeder ,This pup needs to have a future & the longer you hang on to it the more attached you will become & the pup shouldn't be stuck in the middle whilst you wait a few more weeks to decide whether to keep or not

This applied to Qantas for years was on the AAE site but when they re did it this year it has vanished I am amazed you where never asked if with qantas/AAE,it didn't apply to Virgin unless it has changed

I have had a dog with it. The vet new we would give the best care at home & as they get so depressed with it he agreed that the dog needed every bit of help it could get & was convinced he would die in his sleep & i could fully understand his belief He lived another 4 yrs but did suffer from health issues as a result. I did 24/7 care,he was made to walk every hour & we did gentle chest pats to ensure the phlegm was shifted. We gave our boy noni juice (bloody gross but it helped) . We made sure when he slept he wasn't flat so he had either a u shape pillow or similar. My boy looked like death warm up but we stuck to making him get up even if assisted

All our stud dogs are taught to be handled & are also taught to mate on a table or the floor Just help him when the time comes he isn't broken or lazy . Our dogs are never left on there own to mate & we are always there to ensure things go safely as do all our friends
