What To Do When Council Or Police
Dogsfevr replied to RottnBullies's topic in General Dog Discussion
Some councils don't have DD laws. One of our puppy owners is currently going through the court system as there council doesn't have laws regarding dangerous dogs. There 10 year old dog was mauled to death onlead -
Our vet doesn't do it unless he feels there is a risk, a certain chain of vets here push it big time no matter what the surgery or even X rays . It seems more normal in chain owned vets

Ford Territory Owners - What Are Your Cars Like?
Dogsfevr replied to lappiemum's topic in General Dog Discussion
I would go Kluger way more space for pacing things & more people room . I drive a friends territory in Melb & tow a trailer & all is fine but for the price they really lack usable space -
As far as im aware yes . The vet can perform a clotting test prior to to assist with the surgery No way would i consider implanting the male especially if a show dog ,it makes the testicle smaller & the sperm count can be affected .

everyones opinion can be a great teaching tool . Whether you agree or not it always makes you think which is a good thing.

As far as im aware no .

Talk to the breeder, they will give you a diet chart & will explain what they feed & why & the reason it works. If you ask everyone for advice you will end up very confused for what is a very simple process. Ask the breeder for a copy of there diet sheet now so you can get the right stuff in & if you have any questions you can be ready for questions prior too or on collection

why does picking matter??? If your happy with your dog taking 3 days to eat 1 meal it doesn't matter but that isn't normal . Dry still goes off, maggots still appear in dry ,ants etc etc. If my dog was taking so long to eat said product then to be honest i would be wondering why . Does it simply not enjoy the product ?? Is there a better diet plan that would suit the dog??

What Do You Take To The Kennels For Your Dogs?
Dogsfevr replied to rastus_froggy's topic in General Dog Discussion

We have a small dual which is excellent.we brought a second hand 6 berth which is single but by choice we would buy dual . The price & condition of the second hand one was too good to knock back. We only travel 5 mins to our show grounds so easy to get away with but if doing distance travel dual all the way & great when you get a flat

What Do You Take To The Kennels For Your Dogs?
Dogsfevr replied to rastus_froggy's topic in General Dog Discussion
We accept sensible bedding (no bean bag/foam filled as when the dogs decide to chew them it goes everywhere . We accept toys but 2/3 are best We do accept treats providing they can be stored easily without fuss or great space. We do accept dog crates in the sleeping area as our kennels are so big they will fit We pretty much will accept most things within reason We won't accept toys that can be dangerous ,sticks.rocks etc etc -
Was the mother of this litter the bitch you asked about having stomach pains & being depressed whilst in heat ??

What Prizes Would You / Wouldnt You Like To Win At A Show?

I suggest you never more to Perth then

Everything you write about Bob says happy to be a loner. I think if getting the dog solely as a playmate is your main reason then i wouldn't bother ,your dog has given all the signals of "not" interested in a full time friend happy to have play dates Getting them an extra mate doesn't make them spoilt BUT getting a mate must be for all the right reasons so Bob can enjoy the lifestyle he is use to & be happy with plus the puppy also will have expectations that must be meet A young pup will be much more annoying than the Foster & more time consuming .

Go Jethro

We have our refund policy clearly stated in our paper work . I think irrespective of what people think about the owners one has to be thankful they did the right thing & returned the dog to the breeder ,many don't & this dog could have ended up anywhere.

What Makes A Show/s Popular With You?
Dogsfevr replied to poodlefan's topic in General Dog Discussion
e perfect venue/judges etc etc would be great BUT it rarely happens so by choice this how i deal with Sh*t judges & venue don't bother Sh*t venue good judges -go All other options doable Most Perth people have never experienced the optional venues east & many wouldn't survive most here have a hissy fit if there s a chance of rain & we don't show under cover. I enjoy heading east & showing in all sorts of weird set ups & have had a blast . I have shown is torrential rain, had mud from head to feet, shoes ruined, cold ,dogs look awful, staying up right was an art form & enjoyed every minute Good company makes the day & i have brilliant friends east where we can make a bad set up the best place out -
We run boarding kennels & we get dogs in by the truck load on meds for quite frankly appalling reasons. Labs because there to over the top The classic which was in the paper by one of the head AVA vets whose own dog was on meds as it was so birdy ,that tends to happen when you buy a working line gundog & it sits in the backyard so its doped to be calm We can tell when clients ring which vets they are seeing (not specialists) due to those that hand them out like loillies & as a point of interest most are in the wealthy area

Fish Based Kibble... No Chicken Or Beef?
Dogsfevr replied to Sharna3's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I feed pro plan salmon not due to issues but because it is brilliant for my coated breeds . We have found no difference in the factory change & trust me if there was i would be rightly pi**ed You can buy vet only Eukanunba Fish & potato from the vets in a 12 kg bag which we have also used & found excellent for issue dogs they also do a roo formula -
I will get the full Adelaide package posted to me ,if you want mine when it arrives you can have it. I went last year & loved the show BUT my dogs had big issues showing on the carpet & it was too slippery for them
