Looking at the coat aspect it has key words that stand out . The faults Coat - Sparse, smooth, fine, soft & the word woolley all define in correct texture. BUT i guess it also comes down to whether the coat is blown & then how a judge understands this. When blown a perfectly correct coat can start to look long & wavy ,we have shown the occasional blown coat when needing those last points . I would imagine the Fauve coat to be similar to a Wire Haired Viszla style . The coat should be protective & workman like without being underdone or over done I have to ask it has a variation in the colour have you found the coat texture can vary

I wouldn't get to deaf dogs even if i had the time . Watching our oldies here whether they be blind or going deaf we see how much they place trust in the younger dogs to lead them & be there eyes or ears. I see no issues in getting another dog now but would certainly pick a breed that will be a match in the sense of sensible & easy going with the hope both will work well as a pair. Having said that i do think allowing 12 months to really work hard on hand cues & routine would be very wise & see what works well with your boy whether it be the use of vibrations, hand cues

Advice On Adopting Greyhound Or Whippet?
Dogsfevr replied to Lugeanjaam's topic in General Dog Discussion
Either would suit but as a past Greyhound owner(13) be aware that many parents have some crazy idea that Greys will chase down there children or are nasty Keep this in mind with the job you do -
I fondly remember the setter shows last year at Bulla ,Gordies we ran in mud, irish it was layers of water, the dallies had chanels & lakes . The dogs showed well & it was great fun .killed a $100 pair of shoes

Except for the small lapdog aspect what other activities do they want to do with the dog. Go walking, not alot of walking, As far as grooming they are happy to pay for a groomers or importantly do regular brushing & i say this because we get many folks who start with a long coat fluffy who ends up so matted it becomes a short coat fluffy & ideally not always the best selection

8/9 weeks here only longer if where running to on or the reason was one that we are happy with We have had some people who thought 12 weeks meant less training for them in our last litter If they want it to stay till 12 weeks for no real good reason then we would charge them to look after because you do have to maintain/grooming/socializing/vaccs / training all things that the new owners should be doing at that age

To be able to show the pup must be on main register Co ownership means the breeders name remains on the papers Co ownership can mean different things so its important to understand any of the aspects . I have owned 15 showdogs in co ownership & never ever had an issue

I wouldn't base any decision on this factor at all.The fact there isn't a page doesn't mean anything at all. All the Shiba's i have seen at the shows have been very well behaved, a popular breed for junior handlers to borrow . Yes they are a spitz breed so will have the spitz characteristics but that doesn't equate to issues you need to understand tthe breed . People we now breed them here & also do obedience . We have boarded quite a few with no issues at all ,very laid back & adaptable

we get lefy many messages but people speak so fast or say so much you can't understand it either. There have been so big show circuits as well so they may well be on the road or returning .

We board alot of Staffys & yes great screamers but above all very clean dogs who dislike soiling in the "space" As much as you don't want to get up it isn't an option ,puppies mean work & there is no easy option for long term enjoyment. We as a breeder start toilet training pups from 5 weeks, when they ask to go out of there pen we take them outside or to the area set up,they learn very quickly that toileting in the bed/pen is not allowed . Your pups whining may well be a follow on from what has been established by the breeder . You need to decide what the long term toilet plan is now & start the rules from day one,i presume toileting in the crate isn't the plan for the next 12 yrs?? So you need to set the rules now otherwise you will be retraining again in a few months time & it will become harder & harder when there older & been taught to toilet in a way that is underisred latter on. The biggest toilet training failuers are confusion from day 1 . Also if your partner plans to take pup to work be prepared for pup to play up when left .Many people take there pups to work & then when suddenly left all hell breaks lose & no matter what a determined Staffy can be a seek & destroy missile, Also be aware Staffy's are well known for breaking out of there crates that is why the airlines have set crate rules for them so i would be careful in leaving your little one unsupervised in a crate or make sure your crate is escape proof

I come from a state where the smallest amount of drizzles equates to showing undercover which i hate . In all the shows showing the drenched mud slosh slime have been the most enjoyable, the most community spirit amongst exhibitors & just good old fashioned fun & yes i show coated breeds that take me 4/5 hrs to prepare.

Dogs NSW have no say in the matter .

Easy semen test & as a breeder this is the first thing i would ask for . Also would have to consider if the dog has been on medications at the time of mating that can lower the sperm count. Has the dog actually tied with any of the matings ??

We have used Tucker Time roll for over 20 yrs now wonderful product but we only use the garlic one. As for mince we use the Mutton mince from better pets or city farmers wonderful stuff,Tucker time has a new chicken mince out that is also very good edit to add Time

I think your expecting to much in such a short time frame & as such your frustration is confusing the pup, they read body language very well & if they don't trust the owner why go to them. No point chasing either it just becomes a game or worse a fear . I suggest just taking a step back not being so structured & allow pup to do things on his on . At present its what you want not allowing pup to believe its something to enjoy. All our dogs are crate trained but we don't do any of this bribery & the likes in 25 yrs dogs are placed in & all works fine, the more you bribe the more they expect .Ours fight to get in first because sitting in it means so much to them
