Supreme Champion Qualifications

I would assume something like a gundog spaniels show or gundog retrievers show where only part of breeds in the group are able to be shown. -

So to answer your question a Breed Specialty counts as one of the 10 BIG/Specialty BIS. Also a Group Specialty eg: Toy dog Club, Working Dog Club counts as a BIG. -

Except at shows like this where they are usually held on the GSD grounds and 2 groups inside either 1 & 7 or 1 & 2 because we have no lights on the main grounds yet.

Going to be interesting for those of us showing group 5 dogs under Megan on Saturday at Bendigo and have also entered at Cobram on Sunday not expecting the same judge!

I've often wondered how a name could be rejected as already taken, I thought the prefix would make it unique? It does, there are many dogs with the same registered name but different prefix. Sometimes a name is rejected as the prefix owner has already had a dog registered with a very similar name, but a name would not be rejected because someone else has used the name already with another prefix.

Coming in late here as I was not following the thread while at the show. Shaun handled the Sibe for the group as Clare had the Akita. Clare took her in for BIS. -
Yes, I think it is two breeds per day, from the 29th to Oct 2nd. Each breed has 4 x 30mins Q&A session with the public. On Monday October 1st, the Tibetan Mastiff and Anatolian Shepherd are featured. Adding to this. This year the RAS approached ALL breed clubs if they were interested in having a breed stand on the day they are exhibiting with space for 5 breeds each day. This is what the WSS Association are doing. On Saturday for example the Rottie club, Great Dane club and Finnish Lapphund club has breed stands. Tomorrow the White Swiss Shepherds and Cavaliers will have stands, others breeds may have taken up the offer as well. What lilli is talking about is an extra Rare breed showcase after the conformation judging has completed.
