I went along today and thought Moses was the star of the dock diving! I don't blame him, if there's a ramp there why not use it! Ha. You were all fantastic, definately going to give it a go with my girl. She's been in training for years, but only recently did i find out it was actually a dog sport!

I'm currently training my dog in scent detection, for my assessment for the same course (NDTF). When i finish with my little girl, to other people it probably doesn't look like i'm giving much reward at all. But just my getting down at her level and giving her a bit of a scruff made her start prancing around like she'd made the find of the century! but while still training, i give alot of reward and reinforcement. on the other hand, when "sin-binning", for example when she jumps up on me and scratches, i give a firm "argh!" and just turn and walk back inside. I don't put her away, as such, simply because i don't have anywhere to put her away at the moment! but just me not giving her attention, seems to do the trick. She only shows that particular behaviour when shes REALLY REALLY amped up, and competing with the other dogs for attention.

Hi all, I just recently got back from my 2nd block session in melbourne and i'm absolutely loving the course! I have heard of people having lots of trouble with admin type stuff, i think due to a change over in staff. Still no excuse for moving the date and not telling you!!! OMG! Personally i've been treated really really well. Assessment results all on time, prompt replies and very helpful when i had to change to another course line. Its unfortunate its not been like this for everyone. HOpe it improves! Apart from the admin side, how is everyone finding the course?

Hi Everyone! I was just curious to know what experience etc some of the professional trainers on here have, what courses/certificates/training they've done, and also what peoples thoughts are about the NDTF course? I'm starting this course in the new year after doing a fair bit of research on all the courses that are on offer. I am so excited Any advice? Cheers, Lozi
