Our Dog Just Attacked Our Other Dog

Unless a wound needs stitching I never bother with the vet for bite wounds on dogs or the doctor for bites on humans. Just wash the wound well and apply Icthalmol ointment from the chemist. It stops infection in any wound and is especially great for puncture wounds. It won't hurt the dog to lick it, just apply several times a day if they lick it off. Safe for cats too. My family have used it on humans and animals for longer than I have been alive and we have never had a wound that it is used on become infected. It will also remove infection that has started in a wound that wasn't treated straight away. Think i will have to get me some of this!!! -
i would have to agree with the poodle either min or standard? and you can cut their hair any which way they dont have to look "girly" you should see the cut i just gave my boy he looks like a mini airdale terrier lol also the cav and the laggotto but dont know as much bout these two.

Large Dogs And Small Dogs Living Together?

Growing up we had one pure yellow lab girl, one black boy lab x curly and one mini foxie girl and never once did any of them hurt each other and they were always in the yard together unsupervised.... but they all had natures that clicked together and the male was the oldest he was 5 and the yellow lab was 1 when we got the foxie but the lab mothered everything her whole life and the foxie was just great still have her at 14 now she is buggered poor old thing she is. As a teenager i was given a shar pei shabu (bu) she was 2 when i was given her n my old lab about 9 and had always been top bitch well they got on fine for the 6months or so then the pei decided she wanted to be top bitch n kara wouldnt back down, ended up having to pen the shar pei as if it were the lab that was penned the shar pei would try to get in with her anyway. I am lucky the 2 fights i was home to break up and all i had to do was yell their names and they stopped (dogs excaping from pen) the old lab had to be pts because of old age and failing health not long after and not long after that my shar pei was stolen out of the yard -
The way i read the post was that they went out for an hr and left the pup at home in its penned area?

So i am wondering who out there has large and small dogs living together? what breeds? what breeds have you found to really get along well together? or what breeds have you maybe found do not get along well or easily? If having large and small live together has not been a naturally easy thing for you what things have you had to do or what things have you had to train your dogs to make them more compatable to living with each other? or is it a case of always keeping them seperate? I know there are some breeders out there who breed a couple of different breeds with some having quite large breeds and quite small breeds so how do you/they manage that?

Hi, no Cindy doesnt go to puppy school, me and my sister have been waiting to take both FEZ and Cindy to dog obedience though, usually once i have had to stop them from playing FEZ will go curl up and go to sleep sometimes i remove one to outside for a break so one is outside and one inside, FEZ will be trying to move away from the playing when this happens and Cindy will follow him and keep carrying on and when he tells her off she does a runner to the other lounge room zooms a lap then comes running straight back into him, i think she has just got excess energy but i dont want her taking it out on FEZ esp when she is just going to keep growing and he is not!!! Yes i think the playing with adult dog is a good idea but most of my friends live hrs away and most do not have dogs or dogs that i would trust and our old dog midge is past puppies she is living out her lasts days sleeping nice and warm and going for her own seperate walks as she is getting chiropracter work from the vet for a bad back and the pups hurt her as she is only small. I have been worried about the two pups growing up together because they are already teaching each other bad habbits :p FEZ likes to dig when he gets excited ;) and cindy loves to chew anything up and when i stand and watch em playing outside i can see em egging each other on.....

Well i have a 18week old toy poodle FEZ, he is a happy go lucky lil fella and loves everyone and maybe likes to give the animals a bit of a stir , My family is currently living at my parents farm while me and my partner save to buy our own place and they have a whippet puppy cindy who is about 20weeks old, now these two get along like a house on fire eat, play and sleep together all day BUT as they get older and the whippet out grows him she is not tonning down the pace for lil FEZ who has pretty much stayed the same size, she is biting him hard enough to make him yelp (usually the back of his neck, legs or tail) i will usually split them up before FEZ gets upset but a couple of times i have been too slow and FEZ has seriously told her off with showing his teeth and warning snapping at her face and in no way making it known he has had enough but Cindy just keeps going and if anything gets more crazy and over boustrious jumping on him as i walk over to tell them off and split them up, I wanted to ask as i remember reading in another post something about the way dogs play fight (or maybe it was just real fights) that if cindy is biting his legs and generally knocking him down and biting places that upset him is she being rude in a doggy way??? FEZ always just mouths her face and side of neck shoulder even though he is the smaller dog and her legs/feet would be easier for him. I know the solution is for me to of course be suppervising them so that neither get hurt, But is there some sort of dog manners that most dogs just know to follow when interacting with others? To me Cindy seems like a puppy who was taken away from mum and litter too early and not taught her manners but she was with mum and half of litter until 11 weeks old. Hope my post makes sense?

How exciting for you! ummm im not sure i would of done anything much different actually im pretty happy with the way things are going with my puppy FEZ who is a toy poodle who is 18 weeks old.... actually because i would love to show him i would of liked to of learnt more about the show ring and gone to more shows before i got him and now have more time so that i could go to shows and to be more involved with some ppl who do show their dogs

My sister is making the formula for me so i will make sure she is doing it exactly right!!! and i will ask the vet i think and see what they say to give him, the poo is thickening up and he seems happy enough i just want to be on the safe side.

Too cute, while growing up i had a lab who did the same thing with a litter of jrt puppies the mum wasnt a good one n my girl was only too happy to take em off her paws look forward to seeing some pics if possible.

I thought of the yogurt as i buy it to put in the dogs/puppies food but wasnt sure whether it would be safe, i am taking FEZ in to get his vacc soon so i might ask our vet then.

Ok Thanks for that tip i know i am like that i am the hard one out of the family not because i dont love the animals but because i know not to get my hopes up as bad things do happen esp with babies. He is a big boy at 4.7 kilo's and still happy, running, playing and being a pain while i am trying to sort out dogs, kids and tafe work haha, well my mum says "well you said you wanted another kid you got one" i say "mum its a lamb not a kid they are baby goats"

Dog Dna Proves Gold Coast Council Made Wrong Breed Id
ash&elar replied to Mrs Rusty Bucket's topic in In The News
Took me 5 goes and normally im pretty good at picking breeds, Though i have only ever met one pure bred pitbull and i would admit i prob wouldnt know one if i did see one walking past me in the st i would prob mistake it for another breed or a mix. -
That is true.... yrs ago my partner at the time came home from work and at some point started telling me bout this clip his boss had on his phone.... it was beastiality my partner thought it was funny (an ex for a reason ) and went on to say how his boss said there is hundreds of "porno's" of it on the net!!!! I dont know how these ppl get away with it (making and putting these clips on the net), and its not just dogs its happening to. Very disturbing.
