OOoer - you'd better not tell that to all of the poddy lambs I've raised on a human baby bottle and teat We have yet to have a poddy lamb that will take to a commercial lamb teat! Sounds like he's on the improve, which is good Do watch for constipation as well, as already suggested, and make sure you have parafin oil on hand - we lost our first set of poddy twins to constipation After that event, as suggested by our vet, we always started our poddy lambs on half strength formula and gradually increased the mix to full strength over a number of days thanks think i will do this next time

I mostly have cats so not much help to you, plus im down near sale which is a fair while fom geelong, i have a toy poodle puppy but he has a clip all of his own atm, am getting aadult standard poodle soon but unsure of the clip atm.

Yes i too think it has ALOT to do with the temperaments, dominate and dominante together with any breed isnt a good idea, my boy isnt submissive or dominate just somewhere in the middle.

Awww you would of been so stressed esp after only having him a few days!!! I was planning on getting an adult standard poodle when i do get one just because i thought it would be less likely to hurt FEZ than an excitable puppy who is growing and doesnt know any better!

I agree with what the others have said!!! look on the DOL breeders pages im sure u will find a much more trust worthy breeder.... this "breeder" just doesnt seem like they are above board with everything.... maybe a byb with reg dogs??? Just sounds dodgy to me and i wouldnt risk it.... (this is coming from someone who did take a puppy home that i wasnt happy with and regret it)

What two breeds do you have if you dont mind me asking? I have a chihuahua and a siberian husky they are very different! oh yes very different ;)

:D :D i dont hate it that much but i dislike it enough and cant stand dogs licking my kids! FEZ constantly tries to reach the kids faces when he is excited and they are playing/holding him! he knows no one likes it he gets growled at and will stop then but will sneak em in if he can lol. atm i have a lamb who likes to nibble my toes ;)

Good luck i have 6 cats and my poodle loves to stir them but he is only a puppy and is not really trying to hurt them, my british blue boy sulley is not worried about him at all so will not run and if FEZ gets too annoying he slaps him in the face but he always has his nails in i think sulley at 6months old weighs more than FEZ lol sulley is gonna be a big boy like his daddy.

this makes sense to me as my dog licks me constantly and she is quite submissive. Not what I expected in a bull mastiff!! yeah and also puppies do it quite alot more (that i have seen) than adult dogs and what i know of puppies are usually lower on the pack chain so it makes sense to me

Im not animal expert or dog trainer but i always thought it was a submissive affection? (maybe affection isnt the right word but i cant think properly ) like to someone/somedog they see as higher in the pack then them? I have never seen a dominate dog do it to a submissive dog but i have seen the under dogs do it to the top dogs? also in wolf packs (in docco's)
