I ended up using Benedryl (or one of those type anyway) for night time and the Drosera (common name being Sundew, available at health food stores) throughout the day...as soon as i started doing that the coughs were gone within three days.

I just read this and got an odd look from my boss...for laughing out loud and yes...but for me it would likely have been on the train on the way home from work...could you imagine all the weird looks i would have gotten for calling that out all of a sudden? I more or less started out on all the adult stuff as my pup was on the 25kg or over amounts before i knew it It did make it handy in that i could share Harm's stuff instead of having to buy for different sizes etc for a short time...but it was a bit of a surprise.

Yup...scary isn't it at times? I found one place online (can't think of the name at the moment ) that is terrific...but they also note the normal price from vets and from petshops...and i've checked and they are generally correct...HUGE markups...

In QLD any dog is allowed to run, purebred or registered or not My GSD pup is still doing puppy runs but he'll get to do the full ones eventually.

I'd probably be going Royal Canin, it's in the same price range but i believe it's better stuff. They are also starting to put out breed specific dry food as well, as well as the usual small, large, extra large, active, yuong, old, etc etc

I wonder if Steve would be of help? I've just had a sticky beak around and it doesn't seem that similar to Aloe and it's the Yucca root that is useful in it's properties more so then the rest of the plant. It might be interesting to look into the properties of Aloe as from what i've seen and know it's fairly all round good stuff.

It's not unusual and tends to depend on the dogs diet...certain dry foods tend to increase the amount...lol. i wouldn't be too worried if it's only occasionally...but if you are concerned...stick some in a bag and surrpise your vet with it..lol.

Very interesting thread...and all i can say is after reading this and the chicken pox one i have an all over itch...lol, so i think i might worm myself, the cat and the two dogs just in case!
