Yup...he had gotten a bit bigger and has still got some growing to do going by his legs One of the things i like about Petwise is that you can wonder thru with your dog...so Bronx is a regular there and the staff love him They like my other dog as well but he doesn't get to go as much, the boys don't behave as well when they are out together...lol.
-
My GSD is almost 10 months old and peoples first comment is ueually 'oh he's lovely' quickly followed by 'his feet are huge!' I've included a pic of Bronx so you know who i'm talking about..lol (any excuse to show of my pup..lol) That was him at 6 months I haven't been to the Petwise at Cannon Hill but i all barr haunt the one at Kessels Rd
-
The hydrobaths are self serve but I know the Petwise at Kessels Rd also has a professional groomer...i'm not sure how much they cost but the girls there can let you know all the details next time your there So..Which Petwise do you usually go to? if you go to the one at Kessels Rd...i'll keep an eye out for someone with a SWF (small white fluffy) if you keep an eye out for someone with a young GSD with huge feet

It's the same thing, it's just like a generic brand of Canestan

You should be able to get the sliced lamb necks from the supermarket as well...
-
Edited as ML beat me to it with more info :D Woolies does small malti packs of necks...about 4 in a pack for about $3.25 a kg. - and so did Packsapunch
-
Perhaps try him on Turkey pieces? my boys get wings, legs, bums and necks...they'd certainly be big enough to keep him occupied for a little bit and they're good for him
-
Well...i have large dogs and they completely finish off the lamb necks...sometimes they get the cut up 'slices' and other times they get the full un cut neck piece...but either way they eat it bones and all.
-
That's it!!!!! Thanks

Are you sure it isn't Innova(sp)? Innoxa is a beauty product company is all :D and i'm sure your lil pup doesn't need anything to help that along It is a good brand...but you can only buy it from certain petshops...if you want a change i'd recommend either Royal Canin, Advance, Iams, Eukaneuba (sp), Nutrience, umm...there is another one that is really good but you often have to order it in...but i can't for the life of me think of it's name. Most of those i named have specific packs for little dogs and little puppies. As to the tin food...you can use it or not but perhaps if it's just to make the dinner a bit more tasty you could get the little tins (like the 'my dog' ones etc) for puppies, that way you use one each day so they are nice and fresh, and perhaps pup will get a variety as well :D

Yes Probably something better, considering the little guys size, would be chicken necks that have been 'tenderised' a little with a mallet :D

Advantix / Frontline / Advantage Differences

Yes...PawPaw ointment is good for all sorts of things ;) And yes it is available in chemists...and i've even seen it in my local Coles...look for a red tube or tub. Aloe Vera straight from the plant will help as well. -
Make coming to you the best thing in the world...call him and shake a toy, or squeak a squeaky toy, or have food handy for when he comes to you and give lots of praise. Don't necessarily make it a set thing but while around the house...call his name and if he comes to you give him his treat (food, toy etc) and praise him. Do it while your gardening, when you take the rubbish out, before putting him to bed, when you all get up in the morning etc. But be consistant...you call him, he comes to you and he gets his treat and praise. Once he's reliably doing that around the house start doing it at the park but if he doesn't come when you call...as soon as you get his attention...run away! that will have him coming after you fairly quickly as soon as he gets to you give him a treat and lots of praise etc...then once it's all fairly reliable...start fazing out the treats and stick with verbal praise etc. Yes...you will most likely get to look like a nutcase in public ;) The other doggy people will understand (we've almsot all done it..lol)...and the non doggy people...well as if that matters ;)

I've seen handlers using prong collars on their service dogs and only once have i thought the collar should have been on the handler...but perhaps he was just having a bad day  I was tempted to ask where they got them from as they were a touch different to the one i have but that could just be because they came form a different manufacturer etc.
-
Em & Taco, i've taken the easy route and i'm just going to throw in a link to K( Force's website - here - There is both a picture and a discription etc Hope you don't mind K9Force PS...i have used one of the collars and the results are interesting to say the least..and this was after putting it on myself (own neck). All i can say is it looks worse then it actually is.

There are just a few training places that i picked out from another site...there is also a place called Scallywags down at Browns Plains which is very good and reasonably priced...i'll try and find a link. ETA - VIP pet foods down Yatala way is also suppsoed to be very good...i don't have their website on hand at the moment either but a quick google search would bring it up...they are a bit more expensive then average but i don't think they are as expensive as the RSPCA training you mentioned.
-
Check out the CCCQ website as they have a list of affiliated obedience clubs that cost about $3 -$5 a class and about $20 a year to be a member Which part of Brissie are you in i might be able to give you a list of other reasonable priced clubs?

Yeah...the clickers were below the weight but after moving about in the post packs some turned into parcels over night I was told by the Aus Post Debt people that next time i should tape them to a peice of card to keep them flat and to stop them moving Some have gone fine...i think...but others were picked up...6 so far ;) It doesn't help that your told one thing by the post office...then get a bill in the mail and them saying otherwise but i'm still in negotiation with the debt people as to how much extra i have to pay...like i said i have managed to get the $1.05 per envelope admin charge taken off so far.
-
Yeah...i only found out when i got the bill for the additional post! I've managed to get them to not charge me the admin fee at least so far...yay... I had told the lady behind the counter what i was intending to do and showed her a clicker...the $1.00 postage would be fine...the rest of Auspost didn't agree :D
-
Ok...i found out why some clickers may have taken their time getting to people. The lady i spoke to from Australia Post, when i bought the envelopes and stamps, about postage was unfortunately wrong. Some of those sent have been considered 'underpaid' by AusPost, however they should still get to everyone but some may have been delayed by a day or two. I'm being very careful with the last couple that are to be sent out so that they get to their new owners without hassle, thus it may take a day or two extra from this end before i trust AusPost with them. ETA - WARNING! Those that are still to be sent have had the living daylights sticky taped out of them...lol, they are safe inside their little bubble wrap bags though...just taped so be prepared to use sissors

Cats are purely carnivores...their poo has a higher level of protein, and most cat foods have a higher concentration of salt etc etc...that and the smell makes it not only a tasty treat but a warm one as well if they are quick enough
-
Not sure about that....but it could depend on which state/country you are ordering from...i had a fair wack of postage added to my order. Ness...I'll keep my fingers crossed that they turn up on Monday.
-
Christina77 - that's a damn long drive for a handful of clickers!!! I'm thinking waiting is the best bet..lol...or at least have a think over what else you can do/get while there Tollersowned - it's cool, besides you're not the only one there are still a handful of people i'm waiting on details from It's all good ;) ImaShepHead...hehehe...and what do you know....it is dog stuff!!! And yay!! they are starting to arrive! lol...i was starting to wonder if the posties were having too much fun clicking the clickers thru the pastpacks and so not delivering them
-
It's not as black and white as that...and to say that people here don't care about 'suffering and the killing of animals' shows you are only seeing things in two colours.... I will say that my dogs luuurved their turkey butt dinners tonight, and the carrots that they chewed on for afters.

PM sent
